Monica Chacon, Kim G and Danielle Staub Shared a Table at the Season 2 Posche Fashion Show; Nancy Grace Predicts the Giudices Will Go to Jail

October 29, 2013 264 comments

In July 2010, Frank of Ranus Reviews interviewed Kim D and Alina, her buyer, after the Posche Fashion Show in season 2 premiered.

This is my interview with Kim D and Alina from the Posche Boutique in Wayne, NJ. We talked all about Danielle and the Posche fashion show. Learn what Kim D did before Posche and what the hell she was thinking when she interrupted Teresa at her housewarming party. I also asked her if the drama on the show is real, if the NJ Housewives have set the bar in the drama department, if she is concerned about Danielle taking boxing lessons, if she thinks Danielle pulled out her own hair extensions, if she bought Danielle’s crying, her relationship with Kim G and much more!

In the interview, Kim D conveys that within a year after opening Posche in Wayne, NJ, she was on international TV because of RHONJ, and explained that “the worldwide televised fashion show” in season 2 was “our first one.” Kim D refers to Danielle Staub as “the big D” or “the dirty D.” She claims that Danielle “was an acquaintance that I’ve known for a year from her shopping here, that’s it,” and elaborates that she was clearly making friends with Teresa and Jacqueline at the time.

As far as the Posche fashion show (PFS) in season 2, she explains that Kim G bought a table and asked Danielle to sit with her; however, Danielle was two hours late but they (and the 230 guests) waited for her, which is why the show lasted from 6:30 PM to about midnight.

Kim D expresses her opinion about why Teresa made a point to confront Danielle after the show: “I think that Teresa had had enough with all this talk behind her back, the talk about the house [being in foreclosure]. Now what I heard through the grapevine is that the big D made friends with an enemy of Joe – the attorneys that have something to do with what’s going on with the house – and brought her [Monica Chacon] to my fashion show to kind of needle Teresa, and Teresa saw her. I think Teresa wanted to get in her face and say, ‘Listen, you want to talk behind my back. Lets say it face-to-face, women-to-women.’ Danielle can’t do that.”

Note from Fame: Melissa was contacting Danielle during this time period – trying to worm her way onto the show by giving Danielle dirt on Teresa and offering to film with her to expose Teresa – so it is possible that Melissa introduced Danielle to Monica. However, I think it is more likely that Kim G is responsible for Monica being at the table she bought for the season 2 PFS.

When Danielle was a guest on WWHL on September 9, 2013, she was shown clips of what the current Housewives said about her during their appearances on the show. On Melissa saying Danielle in-boxed her on Facebook about the sprinkle cookies and that she never met her in person, Danielle said:

“Well, the one truth in there is that we did never meet; however, it was because I wouldn’t allow that to happen. She wanted to film during season 2, and she thought it would be a good way to get back at Teresa. And I said I wanted absolutely nothing to do with that, however, I would forward all her e-mails, which were a lot, to the producers, which I did. Which is how, after two seasons of her being behind the scenes – on camera but behind the scenes – she all the sudden became a person of interest and that’s how she landed on the show. Um, I think that it would be good for her to just come clean. I wanted nothing to do with what she wanted to do to Teresa. It’s not my place. I don’t play with that. Karma has a return policy and it isn’t an exchange.”

Lee on May 15, 2012 said at AllAboutTRH.com:

“Teresa’s bankruptcy was exposed by Danielle at the 1st Posche fashion show when she said Teresa’s house was in foreclosure (Melissa fed Danielle this information, which was a lie). After that episode aired, the wave of articles on the web and in the magazines started. Monica Chacon, whose husband was the lawyer representing Joe Giudice’s partner, fed a lot of dirt to Kim G,and she in turn fed it to Danielle and the bloggers. When they were ready to film season 3, Teresa was forced to talk about it because the producers invited Monica to the 2nd Posche Fashion show (season 3 episode 2 – she sat with Melissa, her sisters, Kathy Wakile and Kim G) and the Gorga’s Christmas party (season 3 episode 10 – she came with Kim G but was invited by Melissa and producers). Remember when Monica introduced herself to Melissa and Kathy as the lawyer suing Teresa. Let’s not forget, the Wakiles and the Gorgas were asked to be on the show if they would address Teresa’s personnel finances.”

On Kim G, Kim D describes her as “my sister-in-law.” She says she introduced Danielle to Kim G at Danielle’s luncheon because Danielle wanted to met her because of “her means.” She remarks that Kim G is kind of a people pleaser – and even though she did “play both sides,” she didn’t mean any harm; she just wants to have fun.

Kim D accuses Danielle of doing things to her and her business, but says she doesn’t want to discuss it, but declares that “we Sicilians don’t forgot!” She tells the interviewer that she wants to be nice and cool and mysterious.

Kim D reveals that at Teresa’s housewarming party, she didn’t interrupt her but was physically pushed by someone from Bravo and, “once pushed up there, she had to say something because she knew exactly what they wanted” – “but I do love Teresa and Joe and their house.”

Kim D thinks 90% of the show is real and says there’s a “little provoking but not staged drama.” She explains that the producers wanted the drama yet didn’t expect what they got at the first PFS, but they were thrilled.

She asserts that Posche has never done better since the first PFS aired.

Hat Tip: Thank you pjbottoms for reminding me about this interview.

On October 28, 2013, Nancy Grace appeared on WWHL and predicted that the Giudices will be convicted and go to prison because the charges are “founded” and “they were in it together” and “you don’t mess with the feds.”

Nancy Grace said:

“Don’t mess with the feds when it comes to money. Never mess with the tax man. Never mess with the feds. Alright, they have no mercy. I predict they’re going down. And [as] much as Martha Stewart was used, I think they will be used as an example to other people.”

“Did she sign her name on those documents? Did they get money from banks loans, etc. from signing those documents? Did they, Andy, did they?!”

In October 2011, just after the reunion special for season 3 premiered, Kim G tweeted some revealing information which linked Monica Chacon, Bob and Kim Hiza, and Jacqueline Laurita to her vendetta against Teresa Giudice (this was also a few weeks after strippergate was taped on September 27, 2011 for the season 4 finale – Kim G tweeted that she watched the fashion show unfold from her condo balcony across the street).

The Gorgas are linked to both Bob Hiza and Monica Chacon, who prepared a deed for a property Joe Gorga and Bob Hiza jointly purchased in March 2005 (Joe Gorga and Bob Hiza purchased about 10 distressed properties together from the city of Paterson, NJ, around that time period).

Further linking the Gorgas, along with the Wakiles, to the Hizas is the scene they taped for season 3 episode 6 – the couples went to the Hiza’s home for dinner, where they talked about the Giudice’s bankruptcy. The following are recaps about the dinner at the Hiza’s home.

After leaving his meeting with Teresa, Joe and Melissa meet at their accountant Kim and Bob Hiza’s house and have dinner with them along with cousins Kathy and Rich. Not long after beginning the meal, the conversation turns to Teresa and her troubles. Melissa, Kathy, Rich and Bob start to gossip about Teresa’s problems with her brother and the upcoming auction on her belongings. Although the relationship between Joe and his sister is strained he defends her saying she is going through a rough time right now and they shouldn’t be discussing it. [StarPulse]

Kathy and Rich are visiting the “Gorga Family Accountants”, also known as the Hizas who have hired a chef to cater their dinner which is apparently just not the Italian way according to Kathy. Of course, the conversation is about Joe vs. Teresa – otherwise known as the ONLY topic of conversation in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Joe is very sedate in describing the convo and admits that Teresa seemed like she is trying. The Hizas, obviously feeling smug that they are not the Giudices’ accountants, snark on their impending remediation auction and call Teresa “rude.” I noticed only Joe said anything at all in her defense and admits he would help his sister if she asked. Kathy issues some sage advice: “mindless spending will catch up with you eventually,” in reference to the Giudice bankruptcy as a result of their depleting Italy of all its marble tiles. [RealityTea]

After the meeting, Joe and Melissa meet up with Kathy and Rich Wakile at the home of family friends and accountants Bob and Kim Hiza. “The Hizas are not traditional Italians,” Wakile said. “They had a chef prepare the meal. It was nice, it was very nice. I told Kim, I have to cook for her. I have to teach her a few things.” Melissa refuses wine, saying she was sick from being worried over Joe. He tells them about the meeting with Teresa. “Everything went OK,” he said. “Did she apologize? Yes. Was she sincere? I’m not sure.” Melissa tells Kathy that when everything is peaceful between her and Teresa, she is going to talk to her about Wakile. Wakile tells Gorga not to worry about it. “If she wants to have me in her life, she’ll have me in her life,” Wakile said. “Listen, she’s going through some hard times,” Joe said. Again, the topic of the auction comes up, this time from Bob Hiza. Rich Wakile says he absolutely would have helped his ailing cousins-in-law if he had known they were in bankruptcy. Gorga agrees. [MontvillePatch]

The following is an excerpt about the dinner with the Hizas from Melissa’s Bravo blog.

Anyway, I’m glad you get to see our dinner with Kathy and Rich at Kim and Bob Hiza’s house. You can clearly see that we had the perfect opportunity to discuss Teresa and Joe Giudice’s financial problems, but we took the high road as we always do when that topic is brought up in the press, on the show, and around other people. We are not out to get Teresa or talk about their legal issues. When I say I want this family to get back together, I truly do mean it. I want our kids to play together, and I want us to spend time together as a family. I never sat down with Teresa face-to-face until now, but I stand by what I wrote above. Let’s sit down talk about our issues and fix them, for real.

BTW, Kim G was married to Kim D’s stepbrother so, technically, they used to be sister-in-laws.

After the Giudices were indicted on July 29, 2013 for money fraud, Kim G (‏@Kimgranatell) was called out for her tweets about Teresa going to prison, and on July 31, 2013, she tweeted:

I’M AS RICH AS SHIT –YOU CAN ALL KISS MY ASS!! HAHA! @celebritymagnet

On October 24, 2013, Kim G tweeted (her last tweet to date):

Love my fabulous brand new multi bedroom NYC Condo….and did not have to commit mortgage, bank, or wire fraud to get it!!!

The following is a recap by Eudie Pak of the Gorga’s 2010 Christmas party, which aired in season 3 episode 10 – this is the party where producers and Melissa had Kim G bring Monica Chacon (who had a confrontation at the courthouse with Teresa earlier that day) – Monica introduced herself as “the lawyer suing Teresa” (Kim Hiza is pictured with Kathy Wakile and Kim G in the photos below).

Monica Chacon Has Known the Gorgas Since at Least 2005

“Joe & Melissa were telling Monica all about the Giudice finances for years & Mastropole was also working with Joe Gorga. Funny how a few commenters said I was not a reliable source and should stop trying to shame Monica since it wasn’t true that the Chacons knew the Gorgas. So thank You Fame for writing this article with the proof that the Gorgas did indeed know & work with the Chacons & Mastropole! The entire cast knew what Monica was doing & they all helped to get the Giudices indicted! What needs to happen now is a federal investigation into the finances of the Gorgas, Manzos, Wakiles, & the Lauritas. They all have done the same things that the Giudices are accused of & then some! The entire cast knew about these charges before the Giudices did which is why Melissa said several different times that ‘Joe will be going to jail where he belongs… we know where he’s going, jail.’ She wasn’t talking about the driver’s license since people don’t usually go to jail for that, especially if it’s his first charge. She was talking about the indictment!” – xjrsygrl773, October 25, 2013

The connection between Monica Chacon and Joe Gorga goes back to 2005 (if not earlier), when she prepared the deed for a property Joe Gorga purchased jointly with Bob Hiza (image above – thank you katedj09), who is a real estate and mortgage broker and a friend of both the Gorgas and Wakiles. (Remember that the Gorgas got married in August 2004, and Melissa worked as a secretary for his “real estate development” business.)

On March 22, 2005, Joe Gorga and Bob Hiza purchased 8 12th Avenue in Paterson, NJ (Block E0533, Lot 9) from the city of Paterson for $45,000 (it was a distressed sale and quit-claim deed). THE DEED WAS PREPARED BY MONICA CHACON.

Four months later, on July 12, 2005, Joe Gorga and Bob Hiza sold the property to Richie Wakile for $55,000. The deed was prepared by Bob Hiza.

On December 19, 2005, property ownership was transferred from Richie Wakile as sole owner to Richie Wakile and Charbel Atie as 50/% each joint owners (tenants in common) in the amount of $32,500.

Eight months later, on August 8, 2006, Richie and Charbel sold the property to Mario Cabral for $375,000, a profit of $320,000 (image below – thank you katedj09) – this was shortly before the average guy knew the real estate bubble had burst, but speculators were aware that the end had come, so were unloading their properties.

That’s quite a tidy profit that Joey sent Richie’s way. Improvement could have been made to the property for such a huge profit in so little time, but something seems shady for the price to go from $55,000 in March 2005 to $375,000 in August 2006.

GPM said: “This is solely my opinion but the 8 12th Avenue transaction looks like it could be masking a payoff to Police Chief Charbel Atie. In a scenario like that, people who stand in the position of Wakile (and possibly even Gorga and Hiza) would be considered straw men who receive a small amount of compensation for standing in the chain of title and holding it for a period of time until it’s considered safe for a payoff to be made. It’s interesting that the price increased exactly $10,000 — from $45,000 to $55,000 to $65,000 (based on the price of Atie’s 1/2 interest) each time it exchanged hands.”

The financial connection between the Wakiles and the Gorgas could help explain their closeness on the show and how it also relates to Bob Hiza and Monica Chacon, an attorney who handles real estate title research and whose husband was the attorney representing Joe Giudice’s former business partner, Joe Mastropole, in a civil suit he filed against Juicy, which was settled in Mastropole’s favor in December 2010 (Teresa had an confrontation with Monica at the courthouse on December 10, 2010, just before the Christmas party at the Gorga’s house, which is why producers, along with Melissa, had Kim G invite Monica).

The Gorgas and Wakiles went to the Hizas for dinner early in season 3 (episode 6) and talked about the Giudice’s bankruptcy (season 3 started taping in September 2010; the Giudices filed for bankruptcy more than a year earlier, on October 29, 2009).

In December 2010, at the Gorga’s Christmas party in season 3 episode 10, Melissa and Monica pretended like they didn’t know each other when she arrived with Kim G; however, in October 2010, while taping the Posche fashion show in season 3 episode 2, Melissa, her sisters, Kim G, Monica Chacon and Kathy Wakile all sat at the same table (images below) – Teresa questioned their association when she said to Caroline and Jacqueline:

“Why is Kim G talking to my sister-in-law? It’s just weird that my sister-in-law’s friends with her.”

Let’s not forget that Joe Gorga looked right in Monica Chacon’s eyes at their 2010 Christmas party, and said “I don’t know you” (the same thing he said to John Karagiorgis at the grand opening of Posche 2 during the season 5 finale):

“I’m sorry, I don’t know you, but she’s my sister – I can’t have you here.”

In Melissa’s season 3 episode 10 Bravo blog, “Little Miss Trouble,” she refers to Monica as “a complete stranger.”

Joe Gorga and Bob Hiza, together, bought about 10 foreclosure properties (images below – thank you Saddle_River_NJ) from the City of Paterson starting in May of 2004 (quitclaim deeds) and then sold them off to various people or entities. Some of these people are unconnected, but several of the entities connect back to Joe Gorga (i.e. a LLC that is actually owned by Joe Gorga), and one of the properties was sold to Richard Wakile (8 12th Ave, Paterson, NJ).

Basically, the Gorgas, Wakiles and Hizas were flippers during the real estate bubble years from 2002-2007, buying property cheap and then reselling it for a quick profit. The property that Joey handed Richie (8 12th Avenue, Paterson, NJ) appears to have netted quite the profit, which Ritchie shared with his cousin Atie Charbal, who, at the time, was captain of the Prospect Park Police Department in Passaic County (he was promoted from police captain to police chief in November 2010).

Hiza 11 WM

The Gorgas (and most likely the Wakiles too) knew Monica Chacon and the Hizas for years before RHONJ was conceived. It seems they befriended Kim G in 2010, knowing that she had a personal vendetta against Teresa for mocking her on the stripper pole with Danielle (during RHONJ season 2, Teresa joked about her “old lady butt crack,” referred to her as “elderly,” and called her “Kim Grannytell.”)

Monica Chacon boasted to RadarOnline on July 30, 2013, that she had been working with federal investigators over the past four years to help them nab the Giudices:

“The work we put in to make sure the judge recognized they were committing fraud ultimately resulted in them withdrawing their petition [and tipping off the feds]. It’s been a long road. Our office has had calls from some federal agencies over the past four years. You don’t think it’s gonna come to anything and then finally [it happens]. Teresa and Joe’s true day of reckoning is yet to come. The federal case is still ongoing. To actual vindication, I think it will be a long road. But finally it feels like people are opening their eyes to the situation after so many years. Little by little, the truth is starting to come out. They’re starting to show who they really are and what they are about. Everybody around her knows they’re sleazy. I think that their fans must be from anywhere but New Jersey!”
