WordPress will hold your comment in the moderation queue awaiting my approval the first time you comment (or the first time you post a comment from a different device). If you are using a mobile device, WordPress will also hold your comment in moderation since the IP address won’t be the same.
If you provide an e-mail address – it doesn’t have to be real – the next time you post a comment after being approved, it will be published immediately. So please provide an e-mail address to prevent your comments from continuing to go into the moderation queue.
I sometimes don’t check the queue or my e-mail frequently, so don’t be disappointed or surprised if I don’t respond right away… but I’ll eventually get to it!
Also, sometimes, for whatever reason, WordPress puts comments into the spam folder. I periodically check it for valid comments, but may not find them all. So if your comment disappears, it could be that WordPress marked it as “spam” and I wasn’t able to recover it.
Any comments with links temporarily will be held in moderation.
