Melissa Gorga Takes a Dig at Joe Giudice’s Mother; Teresa Giudice Says Her Brother Projects His Guilt onto Others (Updated 7/25/2013)

The Giudice family does not like Melissa Gorga, and the feeling is mutual. In season 5 episode 4, Juicy Joe’s mother responded to Teresa bringing up Melissa’s advice book on how to have a real and sexy marriage by saying:

“Does she dress up with the mini shorts and (pointing to her chest) all open here … when you dress up like that, you look like a prostitute.”

Melissa addressed the comment in her Bravo blog for the episode by saying:

“What I don’t understand is why on Earth would Joe Giudice’s mother want to spend her de-stressing pedicure time talking about me and how I dress? I wonder if she is regretting that statement now that she sees Teresa’s bubbies have been on display all season long.”

The discord between the two extended families probably started at the Christening, which was filmed in October 2010 and aired during the premiere episode of season 3, Melissa and Joe Gorga’s first episode as cast members on RHONJ.  They introduced themselves to viewers by starting a brawl at their youngest son’s Christening.

On October 27, 2010, Melissa’s camp fed a story (it has her name written all over it) to RadarOnline, accusing Joe Giudices’s mother of throwing the first punch:

In a shocking development, RadarOnline.com has learned Teresa Giudice‘s macho husband Joe wasn’t the one who put up his dukes first during the big brawl with his brother-in-law over the weekend. It was his mom!

“There were no punches thrown other than by Joe Giudice’s parents,” a source, who was at the baptism reception in New Jersey, told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

“There were rumors that Joe Giudice hit Joey Gorga and it’s not true. He did try to swing at him but there were too many people holding them back so they couldn’t get to each other,” the eyewitness said. “Joe did not hit Joey Gorga.”

Another source said Joe’s mom picked up an object and came after Melissa and her sisters. The source added that the husband of one of the sisters was also punched. “He’s okay,” the source said.

Others have also agreed the altercation was “definitely” the Giudices’ fault. “It was disgusting,” another eyewitness told RadarOnline.com.

“We were all having a good time, it was beautiful, and all hell broke loose,” the eyewitness said. “It got very uncomfortable and dangerous and we all left. It was a blatant disregard for children. It was just crazy, from the language to the gestures, the breaking of glass, cameras being smashed.”

Eyewitnesses suggested that Teresa instigated an argument and was jealous of all the attention on her brother and sister-in-law, which was caught on camera for the next season of the Bravo reality show.

“All eyes were not on Teresa and it was obvious she couldn’t handle it. It wasn’t about her. She acted as plastic and fake as she normally was and she had her edge her way in there. She was warned to take her seat and she kept insisting and antagonizing.”

On July 11, 2012, a “source” for Reality Tea said that “Melissa’s sister accused Joe’s mother of pulling her hair at the Christening, and that didn’t sit well with the Giudice side at all.”

On July 25, 2013, Teresa’s friend and co-writer of her cookbooks, Heather Maclean, tweeted that Juicy Joe’s mother was attacked at little Joey Gorga’s christening in the opening episode of season 3.

According to a former post production supervisor, the Christening brawl in October 2010 was must worse than what was televised, with extended family members (probably on Melissa’s side since nothing this bad had happened before the Gorgas joined the show) attacking cameramen and throwing their cameras across the room:

“The Christening was much worse than what was shown: the extended family didn’t want anything on camera, so what you don’t see is family members getting violent with the crew and grabbing their cameras and ripping microphone packs off and throwing them across the room. I suspect bad blood between the Giudice family and the Marco family started at the Christening, and has only gotten worse since then. It is obvious there is no love lost between Joe Giudice and Melissa Gorga. Joe Gorga and Joe Giudice used to be close, but that is no longer the case since Joe Gorga unequivocally defends his wife’s, and her family members’, actions (they are his “real” family, as Melissa’s sisters like to claim).

In season 5 episode 1, Jacqueline said that listening to Gorga-Giudice family drama is “right up there on her priority list with bleaching her asshole”.

It seems she must have done so since she spent the majority of episode 4 talking about Teresa.

During episode 4, Jolene, Jacqueline’s personal trainer, comes to her house for a session, but Jacqueline says she really doesn’t want to workout. Jolene asks her if she wants to do a squat. Jacqueline says she’ll do just one. And then she goes on a long rant about Teresa.

Jacqueline TH:

“I get really angry when it comes to working out. My botox face is making a mad face [referencing the reunion show taped in September 2012]. Teresa’s got Botox face too. Lets own up to that, Teresa.”

About Melissa inviting her to the gym where Teresa also works out:

Jacqueline: Teresa was freaking out, “Why is Jacqueline at my gym?”

Jolene (with the best line of the episode): Get over it.

Jacqueliene: You know how crazy she is. You used to work her out!

Jacqueline TH:

“Melissa told me that Teresa’s upset. I went to the same gym that she goes to. I am not stalking Teresa at the gym, for God’s sake! I feel like I’m in grade school. It’s like draw the line, [in baby voice] ‘This is my space. Don’t cross the line’!”

Jolene is tuning out Jacqueline, making futile attempts to get her to workout, but Jacqueline is only interested in ranting about Teresa (“Jolene is completely disgusted with Jacqueline but she doesn’t notice because her mouth was flapping non stop”):

“She wants friends that are like, ‘You’re right! She’s a bitch!’  I was considered not a loyal friend if I didn’t do or say the things she wanted me to do to her family [Jolene interrupts to try to get her to do some triceps – Jacqueline is oblivious to what Jolene is saying]. Once she’s mad at someone, she really doesn’t forget. Like, she’ll say it, she’ll pretend, but she never really gets over it [Jolene again tries to interrupt by asking, “Can we start?’, but Jacqueline continues on her rant]. That’s what friends do, they have each other’s backs. [Jolene, at her wit’s end, says, ”Great’.] Cuz Melissa’s coming out with this whole marriage book, and all the sudden now Teresa is doing a speaking engagement at a bridal expo on how to have a healthy marriage. [Mocking voice], ‘How to have your husband call you a c!’ [chuckles]

Jacqueline TH:

“A friend of mine gave me a book that would help me recognize a lot of similarities between a sociopath and Teresa. Putting the blame on others, being able to look you in the eye and lie with no remorse, um, there’s a lot of things. I mean, google it.”

Jacqueline sat beside Caroline, intently listening while she and Melissa talked about Gorga-Giudice drama.

Caroline: You’re both harboring too much anger.

Melissa: I’m not! No, no, no! You’re wrong!

Caroline TH:

“Teresa said, ‘You don’t know the real Melissa.’ You know what, maybe I don’t. They all are holding onto grudges.”

Melissa TH:

“Listen Miss Manzo. I always listen to your wise words of wisdom. But I think you might be a little off here for once. I do argue with Teresa and we do go tit-for-tat. But I do try! It’s not my fault.”

The conversation continued:

Caroline: You gotta deal with it. Then you have attitude. Then you go home and tell your husband, and your husband has attitude… it gets deeper and deeper!

Melissa: Can I tell you guys this. I almost felt like she wanted me to be uncomfortable. I almost feel like, she’s like, ‘C’mon bitch, stop coming.’

Caroline to Kathy and Melissa: I feel like right now she is completely incapable of having a relationship with either of you.

Melissa: Why, we are her family?

Joe Gorga Says He Wants to Hurt Teresa Giudice Because He’s Hurting Inside; Melissa Gorga’s Book Details “How I Have Sex with My Husband” and Reveals Her Father was a Cheater (Updated 6/20/2013)

In her advice book, Love Italian Style, Melissa reveals that her dad cheated on her mom, so she is selling out her deceased father for a buck.

In Love Italian Style, Melissa discloses that in the last nines years she and Joe have been through many bad times, at times to the point where she didn’t know whether they would make it through.

‘There were many times, and many fights, when I wondered if I could stay with our marriage,’ she explains in the tome. ‘Sex is the glue of the marriage. It fills the little cracks that hold you together. Otherwise those tiny cracks can turn into huge splits.’ Melissa says that she and Joe often would duck into the bedroom following a little tiff and get intimate with one another at least every other day. ‘It’s how we bond emotionally. (It’s) the best way to put an argument to rest,’ she says. Their intimacy was sure to help during a rough patch the couple hit earlier this year when Melissa was accused of cheating on Joe with her ex-boyfriend Brian ‘Bulldog’ Bowen. Categorically dismissing the rumours, Melissa says that Joe backed her all of the way through the ordeal. ‘If Joe didn’t have my back, I wouldn’t have been able to get through this,’ Melissa tells Life & Style. ‘He didn’t blink twice at anything he heard. If they would be, their blogs would perhaps refer to something like, “it is hard watching that time in our lives”, “I cannot believe we were at that place”, “thank goodness all is well now”, you know what I mean. This Father’s Day, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga is remembering her late father, Anthony Marco, for making her into the woman she is today.

“The best advice my dad gave me is to ‘go for it,’” she tells me during the Remix Rocks The Rooftop with SK Energy event in NYC. “He always told me ‘don’t be shy, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Just go for it.’ That’s what I’ve always tried to do.”

Hm, how does that help?

“It’s helped me, especially being in this business and putting myself out there with my music,” she begins. “I’m writing a book [Love Italian Style] and putting it all out there with what I’ve been through from when I was a young child to how I have sex with my husband— with all the little bits and pieces, I’ve learned to put it all out there, and let people enjoy it.”

In a sneak peek at season 5 episode 4 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa and her brother Joe Gorga fight over Teresa’s husband, Joe Giudice, and how he treats her. According to People magazine:

“How does your husband treat your kids?” Gorga asks during a workout. “How does your husband treat you? I go home and I treat my wife like a queen so my sons can see that.”

“You should ask my daughters how my husband treats me at home,” Teresa responds.

“I don’t like 90 percent of the things that it does – I can’t even call him a man,” Joe continues.

Then, Teresa tosses water all over Joe. “I’m done with you,” she says as she storms out.

The shouting continues as Teresa leaves the gym.

“For my brother to bring that up is so f––ing low, insinuating that my husband is not a good father to my children or not a good husband to me,” she says later. “Keep your f––ing mouth shut.”

Joe then calls Teresa’s husband a “bankruptcy guy” and a “cheater.”

“Well, from what I interpret in the preview for episode 4, Joe Gorga gets his wish about wanting to hurt Teresa, and then some, by striking the lowest of blows to Teresa, saying to her: “I don’t call my wife a “c*nt”, you understand?” This is when Teresa throws the bottle of water at him and, rightly so, she says: “I’m done with you.” Of course, this was in reference to what Joe Giudice said on the infamous phone call in vineyard, and Joe Gorga knew damn well that would cut deep in Teresa’s heart.”
