Dina Manzo’s Feud with Jacqueline and Caroline Stems from Project Ladybug Plus Other Theories (Updated October 31, 2014)

October 13, 2013

Dina's parents

According to an inside source:

The Laurita siblings are crazy: being one of 11 kids with varying age differences doesn’t assure a close knit. Caroline and Dina, along with some of their other siblings, were estranged from their brother Joseph for over a decade. When Joseph’s 25-year-old son, Frankie Laurita (photo below), died suddenly in 2008, only Chris, Anthony, Jaime and Anne Laurita Ricks on the Laurita side of the family where mentioned in his original obituary (the other Laurita family members were added to later obituaries). Caroline, Dina and their mother Nettie highlighted their estrangement in their online condolence messages [they mentioned how they remembered him as a little boy]. Before his death, Frankie worked as a marketing executive for Joseph and Chris’ company Signature Apparel [which was forced into bankruptcy protection by its creditors in 2009 – a lawsuit against the Laurita brothers is still pending]. Chris has a tattoo on his wrist in memory of Frankie, and his son Nicholas’ middle name also is in his nephew’s memory. Caroline is closest to Chris, and she spends a lot of time with his sons; she is CJ’s godmother. Likewise, Chris is close to Caroline’s children. In Caroline’s book, Let Me Tell You Something, she revealed that a few years ago her then 71-year-old mother decided to leave Caroline’s father (see photo of parents above) and she moved in with Caroline; their father didn’t attend Christmas at Caroline’s house that year because of the separation.

On October 13, 2012, during part 3 of the season 4 reunion special, Dina tweeted her frustration that Caroline and Jacqueline portray her as “the bad guy,” and she wrote that her estrangement from two of her siblings, Chris and Caroline, has nothing to do with Teresa:

“#bullshit #bullshit #bullshit. I have 11 siblings I stay away from 2 of them. Do the math. I’m not going to say negative things about my siblings & go into why we don’t speak. But it’s not fair how they portray me as they bad guy. Not fair at all and it only fuels the hurt… I’ll end it at that. Turning the tv off now. Do you think for a second if I felt love from them I would stay away?? This has nothing to do with Teresa BTW.”

October 2014 Updates: See the last comment in this blog post for updates on the feud between Dina Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita and Jim Marchese’s attempt to disgrace Dina and her charity, Project Ladybug. December 4, 2013 Update: In an exclusive interview with In Touch, Dina revealed that she and Caroline are “totally fine,” adding that anger has been replaced by civility, if not warm and fuzzy friendship:

“When we see each other, we kiss each other hello. We just don’t hang out for Sunday dinner, that’s all.”

Now that wombs have been cleaned up, and the sisters are back together, Dina says she recently spent quality time with Caroline and her newly engaged daughter, Lauren.

“I will be at Lauren’s wedding,” Dina told In Touch.

“If Caroline needed me and called me tomorrow, I would be there. I love my sister. I will always love her.”

The following is the original blog post, which was published on October 13, 2013.

On October 9, 2013, Dina Manzo spoke with In Touch at the New York Celebrity Pet Lounge at The Roger Smith Hotel in NYC regarding rumors that she is in serious talks with Bravo to return to RHONJ.

Dina confirmed that Bravo asked her to join the cast for season 6:

“I have been offered, I can say that. I’m considering it. And they let me know who’s coming back and who’s not coming back this season, and asked me if I would join, and I am considering it, I will say.”

Dina explained that she is considering Bravo’s offer now that they “let her know who’s coming back and who’s not coming back this season.” Clearly, her decision to join the cast is based on the fact that her sister Caroline Manzo and sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita will not be returning for season 6:

“I never wanted to go back and fight with my family. They’d probably always love to have me back, and you know, I never wanted to do that. Now that Caroline is leaving for her own pilot, and I’m assuming Jacqueline’s going with her too, you know, I would never want to be public with issues with my family.”

Dina told In Touch that right now the chances of her taking up Bravo’s offer are “fifty-fifty.”

As far as having regrets about leaving the show, Dina said:

“At the time I didn’t, no, not at all. It involved really personal things at that point. And I could never fight with my family in public. So we’ll work out our issues in private. We had a lot of fun seasons. I don’t blame anything or anyone, and I’m positive my family’s going to come out of it.”

It is a well-known fact that the relationship between Dina and Caroline is strained, and probably has been made worse with Dina’s announcement on October 3, 2013 that she and Teresa Giudice are hosting an event for Dina’s Project Ladybug charity on November 11, 2013 at The Venetian in Garfield, NJ (see images below).

Dina Manzo ‏@dinamanzo 8 Oct
Come meet me & @Teresa_Giudice (& more!) Help us raise money for children in need! Get ur early bird tickets here! http://projectladybug.eventbrite.com

This charity has been a source of contention in the Laurita family. According to an insider at RealityTea on March 10, 2012, most likely Jacqueline, the Laurita sisters started the charity together in 2007, the year Dina and Caroline signed contracts for RHONJ, but Dina took it over for herself during taping of the first season in 2008:

“Project Ladybug was a charity started by ALL the Laurita sisters. When Dina went on the show [RHONJ], she took it over as if she was the founder and the blood, sweat, and tears behind it. She wanted the glory and the attention associated with Project Ladybug. She wanted to look like the hero.”

Caroline and their other sister, Cookie Laurita, allowed Dina to take the lead and downplayed their involvement, but Dina “only speaks of Project Ladybug as if it were her own.”

Apparently, now that Dina’s Party has come along, Dina barely spends any time on the charity she once claimed to love, and has skipped events to promote her party planning and decorating ventures. The source points to Dina’s twitter account as proof that she has lost interest in the charity. “It is sad but Dina used it to get herself out there more,” the source shares.

Dina made a brief appearance at the Chicago launch of the charity last year and has done nothing more to support the cause. “Dina did nothing for that event but show up,” the source adds.

When asked on Twitter what the Laurita sibling rift was about, Danielle Staub confirmed on October 3, 2013 that it was over Project Ladybug:

According to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital on June 7, 2010:

The Project Ladybug Fund at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital was founded by Dina Manzo, star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, in 2007 to provide “Make a Wish”-type services to patients being treated for pediatric cancer and blood disorders. Through ongoing initiatives including day trips to Sesame Place and sporting events, gifts such as laptop computers and toys for patients, and financial assistance to families in need, the Project Ladybug Fund at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital has become an important resource to these patients and their families as they face lengthy treatment regimens.

On September 30, 2010, Jacqueline went to LynnNChicago with a story that Project Ladybug was not a legitimate charity, and this caused problems for Dina just as the project was getting up and running.

“Dina Manzo’s temper got the better of her once again this week as people have been questioning her Project Ladybug charity. A document that I posted a few days ago, that I received from a Twitter friend (@Geoaubsmom), has sparked the interest of many people questioning how their donations to Project Ladybug are being used… Between the parody accounts and the Project Ladybug.pdf getting tweeted often by me to followers, different people, including Dina, she got fed up. Dina started on a tirade about haters and tweetholes… If Project Ladybug is completely legitimate, Dina Manzo should have nothing to hide; her anger and using sick children to gain sympathy for her cause really has to make you question what she’s doing here.” – Lynn Hudson, September 29, 2010, LynnNChicago101.wordpress.com (The Story That Started Charitygate)

Apparently there was an issue with Dina’s charity where something was filled out incorrectly on a tax form, and Jacqueline, hiding behind the title of ‘inside source’, gave the story to blogger Lynn Hudson of LynnNChicago (who passed away from a heart attack on August 16, 2012). Jacqueline made it seem like Dina’s charity was a fraud, and Caroline wasn’t saying or doing anything to stop the bad press Dina was receiving. Dina went on Caroline’s Twitter page and tweeted support for herself as Caroline; in response, Lauren went and said that Caroline’s Twitter had been hacked (basically denying that they were supporting Dina).

To make matters worse, Caroline did not publicly back Dina; in fact, she seemed to do just the opposite. From RealCityHousewife’s blog on September 30, 2010:

One of my twitter friends began questioning the finances of Dina’s charity Project LadyBug. You can read Laura a.k.a geoaubsmom a.k.a #LauraM‘s full account of what happened on Lynn’s blog.

The short version of part of the story is that Laura called the charity. No one picked up and her call went to a voice mailbox that was full.

After Laura tweeted that she called the charity, Dina tweeted this:

@jennifersale no worries Mama~I’m on it. They r basically being charged w slander &harassment When they start calling me, they’re askin 4it

Guys I LOVE u but no need to defend, Laura M is now turned over to the proper authorities & will be dealt with accordingly. Thank you!

This tweet led to a whole lot of twitter speculation over who the “proper authorities” are. Phone police? Twitter police? Manzo Mob?

Here are a couple more tweets from Dina:

Yes tweetholes, I will call u out on your nastiness if I’m in the mood & erase it after u read it. U don’t deserve the followers u may get.

In a world w such serious issues as childhood cancer & suicide~certain people still choose to spend their time being hateful. MIND BOGGLING

Do you think she yells at Jacqueline, Ashley, Teresa or Caroline about the amount of time they spend being hateful towards Danielle instead of doing volunteer work?

Caroline tweeted this:

Please stop

But then later there was this tweet from Caroline’s account:

hi guys! its @laurenmanzo some1 hacked into my moms account and wrote the “please stop” tweet..i changed her password evrything is fine!

On October 5, 2010, Lynn Hudson did a follow-up blog on the Project Ladybug scandal:

As most of you know, there have recently been some questions regarding Dina Manzo’s charity, Project Ladybug. Simple questions turned into a fury of accusations and name calling on twitter over the past week with Dina’s fans choosing to live in the dark and not know the truth while others questioned what is really going on at Project Ladybug. At the front of the line asking questions was Laura aka @Geoaubsmom wanting to review financial records from this public charity, as is her right.

Never missing a thing, radio personality Carly Hall caught wind of the debate and asked me to join her discussion on her show along with Laura (@geoaubsmom) to see if we could clarify the details of what has happened to date.

That interview (approximately 50 minutes long) can be heard here: http://tiny.cc/cn5xk (interview is no longer available at this link)

You can also read the details in my previous blog: http://wp.me/pVOhN-aw

Also on October 5, 2010, RealCityHousewife wrote a blog about the scandal:

As many of you know, there has been a lot of craziness happening on the blogs and twitter lately. Lynn did a good breakdown of events on her most recent blog.

So here is what went down, a few days ago Lynn had someone posting in the comments section of her blog using the name “I Shit Over The Rainbow And Found Pots Of Gold” (classy, I know) but we just refer to her as “Rainbow”. She claimed to know the Manzo’s and was posting the rumors she had heard from people she knows around town. Her information was mostly stuff we already knew, and there were a few accusations that I think crossed the line and don’t care to repeat. Her comments are still up in the comments section on this blog, this blog and this blog if you want to read through them.

After Rainbow started posting, someone else began posting as well using a bunch of different names, but with the same pink quilt, giving it away that it was the same person. This person began SCREAMING insults at Rainbow and all of us. Those comments are still up too – the name changed with almost every post, but you’ll know the poster by the pink quilt and ALL CAPS comments. One of the names used by Pink Quilt Crazy Names was “Diamond Lover”.

On the same day that those posts were being made on Lynn’s blog there was a twitter account created with the name @diamondblonde90 who began yelling at people who don’t love Dina. But then the next day @diamondblonde90 sent messages to all of us claiming that Dina paid her to do it, but that she didn’t take the money and that she was now outing Dina. It only got crazier from there.

My twitter friend @Duhresa_Giudice (haha) sent her a tweet saying that she traced the IP and that the account was coming back as registered to the same IP Dina’s verified twitter account uses. Obviously she didn’t really trace the IP, but @diamondblonde90 responded by saying that tracing IP’s was illegal and that she had called the police and that there was now a warrant out for @Duhresa_Giudice’s arrest (reminds me of when Dina claimed to have contacted the “proper authorities” in response to Laura calling her charity). Shortly after that, the account was deleted.

This is all that could be found of what was once @diamondblonde90′s twitter account. (Thank you @tweeterlaura for finding this) The tweets shown are the older ones and unfortunately we were unable to find the really crazy tweets from the hours before the account was deleted.

There is also another fake account believed to be Dina, and that is @janislanton. That account has stopped tweeting, but it is still up and you can view it here.

Lynn (@LynnNChicago) and Laura (@geoaubsmom #LauraM #ProperAuthorities) did an interview with Carly Hall (@PrettyPlusMore) about the whole Dina Manzo/Project LadyBug twitter drama. You can listen to the interview here (interview is no longer available at this link). The interview is long, but I found it entertaining, and they called me funny so of course I think it was the most amazing interview I’ve ever heard.

You can also read the blog Lynn and Laura wrote about the Project LadyBug drama when it first started here.

Also, I encourage everyone to re-watch this footage of The Last Supper (season 1 finale) and listen to the whispered conversation Jacqueline and Caroline have about Dina. Also, watch as Caroline shows her true manipulative self. It’s interesting, and I’m sure a lot of you don’t remember this part.

Note from Fame: Click here for the transcript of the “whispered conversation” – this conversation has been edited out of some online copies of the season 1 finale.

The bottom line: The source for blogs at LynnNChicago about Dina is Jacqueline (she was well suspected of being Lynn’s source, plus she also gave exclusive interviews to Lynn).

Jacqueline would not have planted the stories about Project Ladybug without Caroline’s backing.

Jacqueline has always had a nasty habit of running to the press and being an insider on different stories. She goes to magazines, blogs, and even direct messages people on Twitter. When she does this, she often say nasty things, depending on who she is mad at or how she is feeling. She herself admitted on camera that she gets nasty when she’s hurt:

“If I get hurt I get nasty, and I got nasty because I was hurt.” – Jacqueline Laurita, Season 4 Episode 15

The following are excerpts from blogs about Project Ladybug, all written because of the rumors being spread by Jacqueline.

“In an internet radio interview, @Geoaubsmom asked Jacqueline Laurita outright on Twitter if she heard the recent interview that Carly Hall did regarding Dina Manzo’s Project Ladybug Charity. Here is Jacqueline’s response on October 17, 2010: ‘I have. What do you expect me to say? I’m not getting involved in that. So I will just say, NO COMMENT to all those asking’.” – Lynn Hudson, October 18, 2010, LynnNChicago101.wordpress.com

“LynnNChicago has added to ‘Project Ladybug Woes’ on her site. It has now become a collection of document(s) and screen-shots of bizarre TWITTER messages. People who have made innocent (ok, maybe skeptically innocent) inquiries into the PL (PROJECT LADYBUG) financials have been met with emotionally charged messages, like ‘you are trying to hurt sick children!!!’ to THREATS that they have been reported to ‘authorities’. Lynn’s blog is abuzz with talk of PL today, and one commenter posted a link to a recent newspaper article (August 2010) that boasts donations of $20,000.” – Dina’s Still Being Pestered About PROJECT LADYBUG, September 30, 2010, NJHousewives.blogspot.com

Jacqueline gave an exclusive interview to LynnNChicago, published on April 23, 2012, where she spread more rumors about Dina:

“There is a Trump connection, they have the same publicist company and the charity that Teresa is playing for is also Trump’s” Jac told me.

Fascinating! Jacqueline told us that Teresa’s Celebrity Apprentice charity NephCure Foundation is one that is near and dear to Trump and that Teresa may have chosen it with a little nudge from Trump’s people as she met this family at a Trump event. Regardless of why she chose it, it is an excellent charity.

Jacqueline confirmed that Dina Manzo had hopes that Teresa would chose her charity, “Project Ladybug” and that it would explain why Dina broke her vow to avoid all of the Jersey Housewives and film with Teresa.

Jacqueline brought up Dina Manzo, she told me that her sister-in-law doesn’t speak to any of the Housewives,

“Dina doesn’t talk to any of us anymore, she decided to stay away from all of us that were involved with the show, she wanted to be on her own”.

Before I could ask about Dina’s involvement with Teresa, Jacqueline offered,

“Teresa reached out to Dina and I still don’t know why Dina agreed to film with her, they’re not friends now.”

I asked Jacqueline what she thought of Dina’s show, “well, it got picked up for another season” was all I could get out of her.

Jacqueline, as usual, inserted herself in the middle of the conflict between Dina and Caroline. Jacqueline has caused drama for Dina since season 1 premiered (click here for the transcript of the fight between Jacqueline and Dina in the final episode of season 1 after the infamous table flip), and she is the reason that Dina is not speaking to her brother because, as Jacqueline’s husband, he did nothing to stop her. Caroline also stood by and did nothing to stop Jacqueline, and this is also why Dina is not speaking to Caroline.

ladybug 3

The following are some other theories about the rift from a FW blog published on October 15, 2012, but was taken offline in September 2013 and is now marked “private,” plus a comment from adioslunatic from this blog post.

According to an inside source, during season 1 Caroline and Chris hired an entertainment lawyer to get higher salaries, and Dina and Danielle fought over Danielle not wanting to pay her portion of the legal fee. This was an off-screen conflict between Dina and Danielle that was never alluded to on camera.

During season 1, Dina was having legal issues with Lexi’s father regarding his permission, or lack thereof, for Lexi to be on camera, which was alluded to in the season 1 reunion special, when Caroline went off on Danielle, yelling, “You know what you did!” Dina urged Caroline to drop the conversation, but she and Jacqueline ignored her pleas.

Danielle didn’t go to the producers to try to cause problems for Dina: it was Lexi’s aunt who asked Danielle about it and Danielle confirmed that both parents needed to give permission for Lexi to be on camera, and then Danielle gave the aunt the producer’s number, which she gave to Lexi’s father. At the reunion, Caroline was crying and saying, ‘You know what you did!’, and was pointing at Danielle. She was overly dramatic and never actually revealed what the problem was, which is her M.O. Caroline was the one who was upset when it should have been Dina, who was trying to stop them from talking about it. Caroline spun that story likes she spins everything, and both Jacqueline and Caroline were the ones stirring the pot and bringing up on camera Dina’s custody issue, which she wanted to remain private.

Jacqueline may also be holding a grudge against Dina because Dina was good friends with Chris Laurita’s fiancé, who Chris left for Jacqueline because she got pregnant by him during their affair in Las Vegas while he was engaged. According to tweets from Danielle Staub in October/November 2011, Jacqueline “took her now husband from Jen his fiance”; Jen was Danielle’s “nail girl” and “Dina Manzo’s then best friend”; both Jen and Dina worked at Nisha. Apparently Chris Laurita was in a relationship with one of Dina Manzo’s friends, Jen (who worked at Nisha), when he met Jacqueline, and he cheated on Jen with Jacqueline. This may be why Dina never got along with Jacqueline because, in Dina’s mind, she broke up her friend’s relationship with her brother.

“Jacqueline took her now husband from Jen his fiancé… Jen told me all about Jacqueline when she was my nail girl and Dina Manzo’s then best friend (both worked at Nisha).” – Danielle Staub, October 10, 2011, Twitter

Dina asked Caroline and Jacqueline to stand with her in solidarity to have Danielle taken off the show because, through Jacqueline especially, Danielle knew where the proverbial bodies were buried. Jacqueline was cheesed off that Dina hogged that ladybug charity to herself; therefore, cutting Jacqueline out of partaking of the “administrative” costs Dina makes from the “charity.” Caroline was part of the take because the events were held at the Brownstone and they were not comped, so she had no beef there – she was making money off it too, but indirectly. The Brownstone and the owners – Albert, Caroline, Dina’s husband Tommy and Dina – made money off the “charity” dinners just by having them held at The Brownstone. [Plus they made money through the Laurita family’s other endeavor, the event planning company, The Sparkling Event.] One must wonder how much money they made off the cash they took in for those raffles they held at the dinner – the $20 tickets to win items that were donated for the event. You can play really fast and loose with cash. Jacqueline and Dina had issues long before the show, as attested to by Danielle herself. This was the last straw for ole Jacqueline (being cut out) and, in her usual way, went after Dina with a vengeance and put out “insider” stories to a now deceased blogger, Lynn Hudson, all about Dina’s “charity.” Dina was expendable. Period. Jacqueline and Caroline were NOT going to give up this show because they thought it was their train to fame and riches. They were thrilled to have Dina gone – more air time for them! Now, they just had Danielle and Teresa to get rid of…Oh, and they needed another charity scam (enter Autism) to make money off with a tie in to a product…hmmm, BLK, anyone?

ladybug 2

Interestingly, at some point Caroline had established a children’s apparel company, and the company’s logo was a ladybug (apparently the company never got off the ground):

4 My Mom™LLC, is a newly established ladybugchildren’s apparel and accessory company created by Caroline Manzo and Hala Kerik. Our principal offices are located in Totowa, New Jersey. The company currently offers trendy baby clothing, diaper bags and various accessories for mothers and their children. 4 My Mom markets its’ product line as “accessories with a concept” and that concept being…to celebrate and honor motherhood. These products are only available online as we are searching for licensees with larger distribution and product capabilities.

Would love to see Dina return to #rhonj. She’s been struggling since leaving with identifying a ‘brand’ and figuring out how to capitalize from her fame. She needs a restart, and a better manager with a clear strategy this time.

She looks great! in jewelry other people give her-and should focus on her own line, with a QVC appearance. Her and Teresa can navigate RHONJ together as allies IF THEY WILL BEHAVE with morals (and I think they will!).

Thank the Lord Jachole & Dr. Caroline Manzo are not returning. Great news.

    Is Miss Andy crying today?

DINA PLEASE HAVE A CLAUSE IN YOUR CONTRACT TO SAY YOU WILL NOT FILM IF THEY COME ON THE SHOW OR BRAVO STARTS A DEBATE WITH THEM AGAINST YOU AND TERESA,IF THEY ARE OFF THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE HWSHOW,WE LOVE DINA AND TERESA

IMHO……… I too was hoping if Tre`s contract was up, they would quit. But with that being said Tre and Juicy will need all the money they can make right now and with two of the biggest bitches gone and IF Dina returns with a solid contract for both of them, ( and lots of $ ) I would love, love, love to see them go up against Meho and Katfish. I would love to see karma at it`s best. After all, it is the Teresa show and I don`t see another network giving her a cooking show just now with everything up in the air with all the legal stuff. Anyone would not want to take a chance on them right now. But they will need lots of money to fund all their legal bills.

This show is dead. It wasn’t just turning it into the bash teresa with this stoopid pretext, it was the nasty self righteous way they did it – Caroline’s viciousness (good luck with your show, your truth and owning it all), Wacko’s truly vile and nasty insanity, the gross stripper and her monkey boy – whose rage and immaturity and lies are astounding, and that creep Rich and his lying aggressively passive wife. All the contrived lies went to far and got too ugly. Maybe Theresa can forgive them and move on, but I can’t. Fire that twerp Andy Cohen too.

Lynn Hudson was awful just awful about Dina and PLB, and all her info was incorrect/ lies. Her ” source was Cracker Jac, everyone knows this!
I do not believe one one minute that The Laurita sisters started PLB together, I call bullshit on this insider!

I don’t know that Dina will come back to NJ, she knows how Bravo works, even with Meatball face gone and if Cracker Jac isn’t there. She knows Bravo is shady, why would she go back to THAT MESS??

Yes Lynn was awful, and made some allegations about Project Ladybug (and Dina) that were very unfair and unsourced. It was just as Lynn was starting her site, after being kicked off TWOP. (oddly, she later denied she’d been kicked off, and tried to claim she had been blogging for a long time elsewhere-but we all saw how it went down).

I fell for some of it because at that time there was so much negativity about Dina attacking Danielle, etc etc etc.

It’s only in hindsight we learned how shady those women all are and what liars they were.

Lynn Hudson was just awful! A terribly mean nasty blogger!! I was no fan of Jill Zarin but what she did to that woman was awful, what she did to Dina was just awful, if she did not like you as a housewife, person that posted on her site, etc, she made you life miserable!

Fame: Surprisingly, I was involved in some of the events around that time. There was another person who gave Lynn a lot of tips & they chatted on the phone-they were both instrumental in going after Dina and PL, and calling her out by making allegations about the funding, etc.

The original blogger caught Dina making some tweets then deleting them, and was one of the first to be DMd by some of the cast, who perfected the art of “following” on Twitter, sending a DM, then unfollowing so you couldn’t respond.

I honestly think they were basing a lot of their reactions to what was on TV at that time. History has shown us Dina’s just not that person, imo.

      October 13, 2013 at 2:56 PM

I’ve heard the rumors about PLB being started by a few of the Laurita sisters. If it’s a registered 501c3, the filing might be in the public domain. It shouldn’t be very hard to verify who the founding officers were. But even if they did start it up together, clearly Dina took the ball and ran with it. I guess I’m just not seeing the controversy over that one.

If the other sisters were in fact elected officers on the board of PLB, then Dina couldn’t prevent them from participating in a meaningful way. Perhaps the other sisters contributed some $$ to get the 501c3 filings in order? It’s no easy feat to establish a charity.

This looks like a great read….as always>>Tx Fame!

T & Dina look so awesome there on the Hampton beach! Age appropriate and stylish fashion! Wish I was with them – lol! 🙂 I remember not liking that Dina didn’t “own” taking “the book” around town, but hating the way tipsy WhackJack went after her at the pre-flipped table. I loved the interaction with her teen daughter/her ex and her fugly cat tho’.. She might just be the shot of “love and light” this dark-ass show needs!

SK, but I’m pretty sure Dina didn’t take it around town. It was Caroline. Caroline admitted it and Jac later apologized and admitted that she was wrong about Dina too. Am I wrong here?

      • October 13, 2013 at 5:36 PM

It’s hard to keep track. Somehow I remember something about Caroline saying that she was covering for Dina. Doesn’t mean it’s true however. They may have already been estranged by that time and it wouldn’t surprise me if Caroline would say that to make Jac look better.

        • October 14, 2013 at 9:02 AM

Caroline has a freaking martyr complex. She is a bitch on wheels when she doesn’t get her way and when you aren’t kissing her arse like Jacqueline does.

      • October 13, 2013 at 5:39 PM

One more thought… I don’t know why Dina wouldn’t have just owned it if she was the one that did in fact bring it to the salon. She was good friends with those people IIRC. It sounds more like something Caroline would do honestly. Who the hell knows… RHoNJ is like the twilight zone.

I always believed saint Dina did bring the book around yet Caroline took the heat to save baby sis. I will not speak ill of Lynn, she was used as a pawn in a sick family game. This family needs to leave tv and heal, how long do they hold a grudge? All of their hands are dirty including Dina. She didn’t give a shit about Danielle or her girls feelings, typical Laurita if you ask me. She wasn’t so zen slamming Danielle at the sitdown so save me the enlightenend crap. The fact that she would return was a dig at Caroline and Jax. No thanks Dina,we have seen enough!

Hey ladies! Long time since I posted here. Life has gotten busy.

    Anyway, onto the juicy stuff.

Dina has and will always be my favorite housewife. She is pure class and an enlightened individual. Though I miss her, I’m torn about her returning. I feel she is too good for this kind of a platform. But, I also miss seeing her positivity on screen and her friendship with Teresa.

But I’m also worried that Melissa and Joe will turn her against Teresa like they did with everyone else on the show. I hope Dina stays on Team Teresa and doesn’t let the Gorgas and producers manipulate her.

    • October 13, 2013 at 3:54 PM

OR THE HORGAS WILL BE FED BY CARO N JACASS AGAINST DINA LIKE THE HORGAS WERE FEEDING DANIELLE
PLEASE DINA THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO,AND STAY TRUE TO YOU AND TERESA

      • October 13, 2013 at 5:31 PM

I honestly don’t think we have to worry about Dina stabbing Teresa in the back that way. Especially not involving herself with Melissa in doing so.

      • October 13, 2013 at 5:33 PM

Now that I think about it… Siren, producers, etc. can’t be trusted… they could make it look that way. 😉

Yeah I wonder if making it look like T stabs Dina in the back or vice versa is Bravos only intention for rehiring Dina. Bravo IS known to hire people solely for similar purposes. Actually, when I think about it, most people who havent been on these shows from the start were hired to kick up dust with veteran cast members.

that is exactly the part I am re watching right now

J: you came to me, and said I know what Dina is, don’t you think I know what she is, I know
J: you said feel sorry for her, how can you feel sorry for her when you know what she is
      C: because you’re wrong
J: you said you knew, your husband said he knew too
C: you know who your hurting, my parents
and wacko with the “family or not, truth is truth right is right…

right before that Dina and Danielle were back and forth that Danielle could of said a lot more about what Dina has done, and Dina said over what.

Rumor was Dina hooked up with someone else’s honey. For Wacky Jacky to want to spill that little tidbit was just too rich. She is the one who played the pregnancy card on Dina’s favorite brother when he was engaged to someone else! There is the root of the true hatred between them. Caroline has to keep Wacky in line for her brother’s sake, even if it means that her feud with her baby sister has to go on and on and on.

I think all parties involved with PLB were fully aware that PLB was Dinas main storyline. So regardless of others real life involvement, it needed to be centered around Dina and not just some three or four way split between sisters. Probably what happened was the other sisters didnt realize when they agreed to let Dina take the helm of PLB for show storyline, that Bravo would portray it as almost solely Dinas. And Dina may not have known that either at the time. I dont see why Caroline should have been so upset about that, though. She has repeatedly said the only reason she agreed to the show was to prop up careers for her kids. Fast forward a few years……given what we now know about Chuck, shes not the wise mommy sage she storylined herself to be, I would say shes probably jealous of all the positive press Dina got over PLB…so she didnt have a problem with Jac for trying to knock Dina down a few pegs. And I wonder”…was that Ladybug kids clothing thing maybe supposed to be affiliated with PLB…and something went wrong, causing the line to never fully develop…and thus the real source of tension between Chuck and Dina?

  9. October 13, 2013 at 4:17 PM

I like Dina. Wow, what karma for that Lynn in Chicago. Dina will be back on the show and Lynn won’t be blogging about it. The universe knows….
I think that Caroline is really in no place to head a charity or anything that reaches out to a softer side of humanity. Dina probably knew this before the viewers did. Caroline eventually showed her REALLY ANGRY SIDE. Like angry crazy. For no reason. She just kept meddling and getting angry at Teresa and her family issues. It is so bizarre to throw so many stones when her house is made of used toilet paper. I have no desire to watch an entire show about the Manzos. Al, Jr, Chris, skinny Lauren who is fat Lauren again, and Mama Firecrotch. BORING!!
Jaqueline would be so much more likeable if you didn’t know that she has a special needs child at home who probably is not thriving under the camera lights and drama. No child with autism should be subject to that. Too bad she will only realize this later, when it is too late. I have a child who is NOT autistic but he is very sensitive to extra stimulation, His face changes. He looks fearful. Now that he is five and can articulate his emotions he tells me, “mom when I was a baby and I saw all those people, I was really nervous and scared.” He is better about extra stimulation but he still tells me, it bothers him. I would NEVER join a reality show and put cameras on him knowing this!!
I am actually going to stop watching Bravo after tonight’s reunion. These are people who have family issues…as do I, who lie to smooth thing over…as have I, and who are working to make money to support their families…as must I. It is kind of tragic that the viewers lives are wasted by the fact that no one is forthcoming that most of the show is staged and telePHONY.
But keep up the good work on this blog. I swear, the writing and details of this blog are superb and if you are not making money off of this, you really should. I heard on Jimmy Kimmel, that Miley Cyrus HIRED her super fan. Kimmel said stalker but Miley did indeed hire this super fan who is so well versed in blogging, working VEVO charts, and doing all kinds of spin control. There is a future in all this.

    • October 13, 2013 at 5:02 PM

I agree that Jac is horrible for using her son for a storyline, however, there are many reasons Jac is unlikable IMO. I don’t tweet but I read blogs that reveal tweets through either the blogger or those commenting. Jac’s tweets reveal her true identity as an absolute whacko! Also, the way she’s treated Teresa, becoming friends with Melissa and Kathy… horrible. The way she tried to get Teresa to reveal things about her financial situation, including but not limited to the conversation on Jac’s deck when Caroline’s conveniently showed up. Jac was the one who accused Teresa of setting up Melissa at one of the infamous PFSs… the one with the bald guy showing up asking Melissa if she remembered him. Oh the horror of it all!!
And although I wish I could forget it’s forever etched in my brain the way Jac treated Teresa at the Season 5 reunion… where she accused Teresa of… gross… “sniffing her brother’s underwear.” Who says something like that? Oh and how could I forget the fact that she paraded Ashley and all of her troubles around on the show in the most humiliating way. Awful.

Therefore, Jac is horrible for innumerable reasons although using her autistic son as a story line is definitely at the top of that list… and that says A LOT. I hate to say this, but not only has she used him and the fact that he’s autistic for the show, but for putting the most unimportant things seemingly ahead of him.

That’s enough… Jac makes me sick.

Couple that with a new study (this is not a joke) that babies and young children can develop communication and social problems when they have a mother with botox face. The child does not see the facial expressions, especially the subtle ones, that he is meant to see which teach him emotions and cause them to bond. So Jacqueline, Maybe if you spent 1/3 less time causing trouble for others, drinking and popping pills and sticking massive quantities of botox in your face, you might be in a better position to parent your child.
What a relief that they are gone! Nobody is going to watch the show “poppin’ zits with the Manzo’s” It will end up just like Melissa’s book, swirling down the shitter into the the abyss.

Bernie Kerik is Al Manzo’s best friend, according to Caroline in the final episode of season 1. Kerik, a former New York City police commissioner, was released from the Cumberland, MD federal prison in May 2013 after serving three years of a four year-sentence – he pled guilty in November 2009 to eight felony charges, including tax fraud and lying to White House officials. Kerik will serve the remaining five months of his sentence under home confinement. A family friend told the New York Post and the Daily News that Kerik was planning to celebrate his first evening of freedom with his family and more than a dozen pals with a “robust feast” of beef short ribs, shrimp scampi, fresh mozzarella, and brownies provided by The Brownstone caterers, owned by Al and his brother, Tommy.

He was a close ally of former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, whom he served as a bodyguard and driver. Giuliani then tapped him for a senior position in the Correction Department, and he went on to become the agency’s commissioner.

His performance after the 9/11 attacks turned him into a national figure, earning him the respect of President George W. Bush, who nominated him to lead the Department of Homeland Security. That bid quickly collapsed in scandal, marking the beginning of the end of his career.

Kerik was sentenced to four years in prison in February 2010 after a federal judge blasted him for using his high-profile part in the city’s 9/11 response to make money.

Kerik’s guilty plea in a November 2009 plea deal including admissions that he lied to the White House, filed false tax returns and lied about $255,000 in work done by a mob-linked contractor. A humiliated Kerik wept on the witness stand while testifying against the two brothers accused of covering up the free remodeling of the ex-commissioner’s Riverdale apartment.

Al Manzo, a Kerik pal and owner of The Brownstone restaurant in Paterson, said the former cop’s wife, other family members and close friends were gathering for a robust “Welcome Home” meal.

“Bernie’s looking for some of the good food he hasn’t been able to get for the last three years,” Manzo told the Daily News. “I’m his friend — I’m there for him.

“He loves fresh mozzarella, shrimp scampi, beef short ribs.”

“He did his time like a man,” said Manzo, adding that the once-beefy Kerik’s weight was down to 175 pounds. “I think he deserves a chance to get his life back on track.”

The ex-top cop surrendered on May 17, 2010, but earned time off for good behavior that cleared him to leave the Cumberland, Md., facility and actually begin home confinement on May 23, prison officials said.

Kerik is technically in Bureau of Prisons custody through Oct. 15, but his home confinement deal will give him plenty of time outdoors. He’ll be required either find or hold a job, and can leave his Franklin Lakes, N.J. McMansion for tasks related to his re-entry into society, said BOP spokesman Chris Burke. That includes getting a driver’s license, attending religious services, seeing a doctor or dentist, and “connecting with family.”

      http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nypd-boss-bernard-kerik-prison-article-1.1356234

It looks like his family was able to maintain their lifestyle despite his imprisonment (more photos at the link above:

Kerik will likely spend the rest of his term under home confinement.

In December 2009, Al Manzo hosted a fund-raiser at The Brownstone to raise money for Kerik’s legal defense – he was scheduled to face trial in October 2009 but instead pled guilty in November 2009 (he probably kept the money he raised for his defense). Looks like Bernie has done pretty well for himself; perhaps he should have downsized before asking others to help him fight charges of corruption, tax evasion and perjury.

Al’s “he did his time like a man” comment is very telling. Just what does that mean? To me, it means that he didn’t rat out crooks like Al. Bernie must have a treasure trove of dirt on Al.

It’s hard to imagine, but there were so many people who used 9/11 to make $$ – there was a lot of fraud going on and Bernie and his mob pals were probably knee deep in it. It makes me want to scream when people refer to guys in the mafia as “good guys” because they throw a little money around in their neighborhoods, or help people out once in a while. They are thieves and murderers. Being in, or associated with the mafia and being a “good guy” are mutually exclusive in my book.

Sorry for the rant! But people like Kerik and Al make me nuts.

        • October 13, 2013 at 11:26 PM

Mafia tactics are employed by the government, unions, police, thinktanks, and, quite frankly, a culture corrupter like Bravo, so you eliminate a lot of potential good guys with that thinking. Neighborhoods that were formerly occupied by actual Mafia gangsters that have since flown to the suburbs, been arrested, or otherwise been put out of business are now quite dangerous – and not in a controlled way like it was with Mafia members running it.

          • LifeIsGood
            October 14, 2013 at 6:55 AM

I agree with you that there is no shortage of corruption in our culture. But the “everyone does it” argument is a deflection. I think that all of us have the potential to be good guys, but it is our choices that we will be judged by, and every person in the mafia is there by choice. It is their choice to murder and maim. It is their choice to feed their families by taking from another. They surround themselves with like minded people to make it seem normal and dress it up with words mike “honor” and “code” and “family”, but at the end of the day it comes down to right and wrong, and they are wrong.

Not an attack on you, Suedechick – I mean that sincerely. I understand where you are coming from and I don’t mean to come off as overly righteous, but I’ve been on the receiving end of a violent crime (not mafia related) and I had to listen to the excuses and justifications. It’s sickening.

So I stand by my original statement that being in the mafia and being a good guy are mutually exclusive.

I wonder if The Venetian is donating the event room, food & drink and gift bags for the Nov. 11th Project Ladybug event featuring Dina and Teresa. And if so, does 100% of the “ticket price” of $125, or $200 for VIPs, go to the charity? Is everyone hosting this event doing it for free and are all the items being auctioned donated so that the charity gets all the money raised?

Rather than go through eventbrite.com, which adds a $7.24 or $10.99 (VIP) “fee”, why not just call the charity to RSVP and then donate the amount of the “ticket price” at the door?

That’s why I stay away from charities….they are so easy to make bank from, and sooooooo many huge charities are scams. “Operating costs” can be up to 99% of where the money goes. I would donate to a local animal shelter, that’s it. Otherwise, I throw my “charity” to people with low paying jobs, like waiters. At least I know where that money is going.

These sources allow you to check on larger charities. I certainly believe in local charities, but having 2 rare diseases strike my immediate family, we’ve been helped by advocacy groups (which are charities) for those diseases.
Not only do they educate patients & dr’s & fund research, but they organize lobbying (including surveys & data gathering) to show Congress/agencies that there is unmet need.

You would think a *rarely occurring* cancer that not many people get, that’s among the top 5 killer cancers in the US by #, that has a 5 year survival rate of ~6%, it would be obvious that there should be lots of researchers. The National Cancer Institute would definitely have a task force on it, with goals, to oversee research, right?
NO. Without a dedicated task force (I’m not saying people at NCI don’t care or aren’t working on research, just that in any organization that gets a lot of desperate pleas & has a lot of research goals a task force needs to coordinate for different cancer types)–the Request for Research proposals don’t get written/put out for that cancer, =little money for research.

So even though a charity like Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is national, it was started by a lady who, like me, lost her Dad to Pancreatic Cancer.

“4 My Mom™LLC, is a newly established ladybug children’s apparel and accessory company created by Caroline Manzo and Hala Kerik.”

Hala Kerik is married to Bernie Kerik, the friend of the Manzos who went to prison. Gotta wonder why Caroline would start a business with people like that.

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Residence Franklin Lakes, New Jersey

Bernard Bailey “Bernie” Kerik (born September 4, 1955) is a former New York City Police Commissioner who was nominated by George W. Bush to head the Secretary of Homeland Security in December 2004.

A week later, Kerik withdrew his nomination, explaining that he had employed an illegal immigrant as a nanny. Subsequently, numerous other allegations also surfaced. In 2006, Kerik pleaded guilty to two unrelated ethics violations after an investigation by the Office of the Bronx District Attorney and was ordered to pay $221,000.

A grand jury of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York issued a 16-count indictment against Kerik on November 8, 2007, alleging conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud, and lying to the Internal Revenue Service. Kerik surrendered to authorities the next day and pled not guilty to all charges.

On October 20, 2009, his bail was revoked and he was jailed pending trial. On November 5, 2009, he pleaded guilty to 8 charges in a plea bargain with prosecutors who recommended a jail sentence of 27 to 33 months. Kerik was sentenced to four years in federal prison on February 18, 2010. On March 30, 2011, he lost his appeal in federal court to have his four-year sentence reduced because of alleged bias by the sentencing judge.

Kerik’s third marriage was to Syria-born Hala Matli (born February 3, 1972). He met her in 1996, when she was the office manager in his dentist’s office.

I recently watched a WWHL that I had recorded some time ago and the question happened to be which housewife was missed the most. Let me see if I can remember the choices… Alex (NY), Jill (NY), Jeana (OC), Danielle (NJ), Dina (NJ), ugh I’m sure there was one more I can’t remember… anyway… Dina won 37% and Jill 36% IIRC. The others were nominal… oh yeah… Sheree (Atl). So… Dina won overall. Don’t get me wrong, I love Dina and I really hope she comes back. I just may watch if she does… but it seems awful convenient. There’s little doubt Bravo fixes polls. In this situation… if they did actually “fix” it… at least I like the outcome. (Still doesn’t make it okay if it was fixed.)

Great catch, kayswhims! It looks to me like Project Ladybug failed to follow a state law regarding charitable solicitations, registering with the state, for example. The entity was fined $3,000 but the fine was immediately suspended provided they followed the law from then on.

In my experience, things like this happen quite a lot with new charities; the people who form them have a lot of passion for their cause and they don’t want to spend the money they raise on lawyers!

As a result, though, they sometimes miss things. Most state offices understand that however and that there was no deliberate intent to violate the law so, if a complaint is made before the charity figures it out for themselves, state officials will typically give them a chance to do whatever it is they failed to do. And of course the charities are often happy to comply as they just didn’t know about the requirement in the first place.

It’s good the laws exist, though, as it keeps people from being scammed or at the very least gives the state some real teeth when it comes to punishing a scammer.

Thanks for that link, kayswhims! It made me do a little searching, and I found this:

How to check out a charity
      http://www.charitychoices.com/checkout.asp#1

We are often asked about the worthiness of specific charities. People want to support good causes, but they don’t want to have their money wasted.

How can you learn more about a particular charity? The traditional advice – check with the Better Business Bureau – is fine except for one important fact: this service rates only a few hundred of the more than 734,000 charities in this country. It focuses on mostly large national charities, not smaller, often local charities.

      So here is our advice:

      Check the CharityChoices.com website.
Check the federal governments charity drive’s website.
Check the Better Business Bureau’s Give.org website.
Ask the charity for its report to the IRS.

I checked and Project Ladybug is NOT in the Charitable Choices guide:
      http://www.charitychoices.com/Categories/all.asp

I checked and Project Ladybug is NOT in the federal government’s charity drive.
A Word file is downloaded when you click the link above.

I checked and Project Ladybug is NOT at Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance’s website
      http://www.bbb.org/charity-reviews/national/#P

Charities that are accredited by the Better Business Bureau must meet the 20 standards for Charity Accountability and these include how donations are distributed. At least 65% of the Charity’s total expenses must be spent on program activities and no more than 35% on fund raising. Their index of Charities allows easy research into Charitable Organisations that meet their strict criteria.

I checked and Project Ladybug IS in Guidestar.org but “has not reported Revenue & Expense data”:
      http://www.guidestar.org/organizations/01-0897759/project-ladybug.aspx

Project Ladybug is also NOT listed at CharityNavigator because “this organization is not eligible to be rated by Charity Navigator because it does not meet our criteria of having at least $1 million in revenues”:

Sites like Charity Navigator are very helpful in showing you what percentage of your giving goes to support the mission of the nonprofit, as opposed to administrative expenses. Some nonprofits may have quite a bit of overhead, but according to the charity ratings site, if they are spending more than 33.3% of their total budget on overhead, the organization is simply not meeting its mission.

      http://www.charitynavigator.org/

Project Ladybug is also NOT listed at CharityWatch:

To get the biggest bang for the buck, CharityWatch advises, consumers should donate to charities that use at least 75% of donations for direct aid. The Red Cross, at 91%, is well above that mark.

I gave the Red Cross a ton of money after the earth quake in Haiti, more than I could afford, and it STILL HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED TO THE PEOPLE. Now, I trust nobody. Which is sad. When I gave to Sandy, I found a local charity that was actually handing out food and water and gave to them.

          • October 14, 2013 at 1:27 PM

I feel like I’m always replying to your posts but you’re always saying things I agree with or have to comment on! I stopped donating to the Red Cross years ago because of their corruption scandal. Money wasn’t going where it was supposed to b/c some people at the top were stealing. It’s disappointing to see that there are still issues. I read and saw a lot of news during Sandy where the Red Cross was just useless to most people. It sucks because they have better name recognition and so get more donations. Meanwhile smaller, more honest charities get very little.

Gessie, most religions have relief committees. They don’t discriminate relief by creed or convert. UMCOR (methodist relief comm.) makes flood buckets. People usually donate $, then they buy supplies in bulk, & the church puts them together & sends. It’s a standard specific list.

They used the buckets for Sandy. After, they needed more to have ready. My Mom’s church volunteered to check buckets other churches did to make sure the list was there (& right, like it has to be liquid cleaner b/c there may not be water/clean water to mix it). A man from her church volunteers on trips to hand out the buckets. Mom said he helped them check. So I know UMCOR went up (we’re in MD which was pretty lucky in Sandy so I assume he went N of here) & handed buckets out.

Now I’m NOT advertising for Methodists; I’m just familiar from my Mom volunteering recently & growing up Methodist. Other religions do the same.
Here’s a link about the bucket:
            http://gbgm-umc.org/umcor/print/kits/floodbucket.stm

Again, I’m NOT asking people to send in those buckets to UMCOR. It’s an example of the level of detail where I feel comfortable the supplies are getting to those in need. Especially if a church doesn’t send the $ to UMCOR but puts together the buckets, heavy sealed 5 gallon buckets are a lot harder to “get lost” than $.

Also, it’s a good idea to put a bucket or 2 together for yourself, if you live in hurricane or flood prone areas. Or it’s something you could put together w/a group of friends and take to a flood area yourself. I could have used 1 of these when our apartment had catastrophic roof failure (fire dept busted in while we were at work b/c there was so much water coming in the apt. below us, out of her lights, they thought a pipe burst at our place.)

Fame, Project Ladybug hasn’t reported financial data to Guidestar but many organizations do not. Charities actually have to know about Guidestar and then “claim” their report and update their GuideStar Exchange profile for the financial data link to be active. Because financial data is self-reported by the charity, however, I think you get even more credible information from looking at copies of the entities Form 990s, which are available for Project Ladybug at Guidestar.

Because it doesn’t have $1 million or more annually in revenue, Project Ladybug is treated as an “unranked charity” in Charity Navigator. You can see the information they do have about the charity at http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.profile&ein=010897759#.Ulso8FCkoUY

CharityWatch states its criteria for inclusion as follows: “At CharityWatch we focus on quality over quantity. The in-depth level of analysis we perform as part of our charity evaluations is time-intensive and does limit the number of groups we are able to review. Currently, CharityWatch rates approximately 600 charities. We generally focus on evaluating large charities that receive $1 million or more of public support annually and that are of interest to donors nationally.” Obviously, Project Ladybug falls far short of this criteria.

Similarly for the BBB, a charity can request to be listed or it can be listed as a result of a complaint. The fact that it’s not listed means that neither of these things has occurred but the fact that a charity is listed doesn’t really have any meaning; it’s the evaluation by the BBB that’s of value to donors. In order to be evaluated, however, the organization has to be a national charity that solicits nationwide so it wouldn’t qualify to be evaluated.

The Charitable Choices Guide is limited to organizations that meet the criteria for soliciting federal employees for charitable contributions. Such organizations have to meet 10 standards, one of which is an annual audit unless income is less than $100,000. Because of their cost — which is high because of the amount of time and effort an auditor must employ — audits are almost unheard of for small charities like Project Ladybug that only periodically pop up and down around the $100,000 revenue figure. An audit must be done by a CPA but you would almost have to get one to agree to do it for free which, again, would be extremely difficult to do because of the time and effort required and the exposure for the audit firm, exposure that may not be covered by the firm’s malpractice insurance if they’re doing the audit for free. It was only barely possible to get a firm to do that 30 years ago; I honestly cannot even conceive of a CPA doing an audit for low or no cost today. And the firm that’s keeping the books can’t do the audit, BTW, because they wouldn’t be independent — because they do the books.

        • October 13, 2013 at 8:03 PM

Thanks for the info, GPM. So small charities are hard to research online since the monitoring organizations (other than the State) don’t bother with them.

At CharityChoices (http://www.charitychoices.com), they recommend checking the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance’s website.

To get financial information about nearly every charity in the country, go to http://nccs.urban.org.

With small local charities it really is hard to know whether they’re on the up-and-up. I think the reputation of the person and the charity in the community is very valuable, but nonetheless I’m aware of many individuals who were highly regarded in their communities who have nonetheless embezzled from charities, schools, churches, etc.

In the case of Project Ladybug, you have a small group of people — the Laurita sisters — who for whatever reason joined together six years ago to raise money for sick children. We could speculate all day about the motive; they might have had a friend or relative whose child was ill or they may have wanted and/or needed to improve their standing and reputation in the community. They could have just been bored housewives who wanted to have parties and thought that raising money for charity would be a great excuse or they could have been trying to drum up business for the Brownstone. The reasons why people organize things like this are legion. Maybe they wanted their father to someday become as iconic as Danny Thomas, whose efforts led to the formation of St. Jude’s. Or maybe one or more of them is making good on a promise made to God, as Danny Thomas is said to have done.

Whatever the reasons, though, there is no obvious evidence of abuse, i.e., the majority of the money truly does appear to have been passed on to well-known legitimate entities (hospitals) for a legitimate charitable purpose (sick children) and from the tax returns they truly do not seem to be getting any monetary benefit from it.

They are of course getting some limited public recognition for their efforts to raise money for this cause, but that is hardly novel; Angelina Jolie is an obvious example of someone who has benefited significantly from this model. Intriguingly, earlier in Angie’s career I believe she was the primary donor to a charity that employed her mother. If Angie had simply given her mother money to live on, she would not have gotten a tax deduction but, by structuring the payments through a 501(c)(3) she could, provided the entity met the legal requirements for a charity and her mother truly did provide services and the pay she received was reasonably appropriate.

I know far too many similar stories and, as a result, I typically try to put the question of motive or the benefits someone may be receiving aside and focus on whether at the end of the day the bulk of the money given does in fact make its way to the worthwhile charitable work. In the case of Project Ladybug, that appears to me to be the case.

As far as Lynn in Chicago… I have little doubt that Jac was her source (actually I have no doubt). I did read her blogs and I also commented there but for some reason I didn’t understand all the controversy around Lady Bug charity. I do remember how big a deal it was and that it was discussed A LOT. I liked Dina so I guess I kinda tuned out.

Lynn also HATED Teresa with a vengence. I remember in one blog she actually said something along the lines of… she was sorry to say it but anyone who likes Teresa has to be stupid just like her. At the time, the blog and even the posters there were very anti-Teresa. Now there’s a blog called “Lynn’s family” or something like that. Many of the same people post there but now an overwhelming majority are pro-Teresa and anti-TB and TSIL. I don’t go there often, but I do get curious when RHoNJ is the topic because it amazes me how it’s so different than when Lynn was blogging.

Anyone who is interested in Project Ladybug’s finances can look at the organization’s tax returns (IRS Form 990) for themselves at Guidestar.org.

Just Search for “Project Ladybug” and be sure to click on the organization of that name in New Jersey, not Florida.

I have quite a lot of experience preparing and reviewing Forms 990 and it is my opinion that this is a really clean charity.

The returns were prepared by Certified Public Accountants, who also maintain the charity’s books.

Claudine (“Dina”) Manzo has since 2009 been identified as the group’s President and Treasurer and it is she who signs the returns. Sister Angela (“Cookie”) Laurita Rooney has consistently been reported to be its Vice President. Various other women, who I assume to be other Laurita sisters, are identified as directors, including Carolyn Manzo, who as of December 31, 2011 continued to be identified as a director. It does not appear that Jacqueline Laurita has ever been an officer or director. None of the officers or directors have ever received any compensation.

The 2011 return is the last year for which a tax return has been published. No conclusions should be drawn from this, however, as the 2012 return would not have been due until May 15, 2013 and many charities frequently obtain filing extensions until August 15, 2013 or even November 15, 2013 in order to accommodate their CPA’s April 15th “busy season.” In my experience, there is also typically a considerable time lag between when the return is filed with the IRS and when it is ultimately accessible by organizations such as Guidestar.

The IRS granted the charity unconditional exemption under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) in August of 2009.

Contributions raised over the years are reported to be:

    $39,373 in 2007
    $40,057 in 2008
    $128,476 in 2009
    $46,388 in 2010
    $107,266 in 2011

(Close readers may note that the charity appears to have been operating before its exemption was granted by the IRS; without going into too much detail, that is acceptable.)

Cash distributed to hospital beneficiaries in the last three years reported were:

    $70,000 in 2009 or 54.5% of contributions
    $36,610 in 2010 or 78.9% of contributions
    $73,520 in 2011 or 68.5% of contributions

The charity has few if any assets and the assets it has are primarily comprised of a relatively modest amount of cash. This indicates that there have been no “sweetheart” deals for purchases of related-party real estate at an inflated purchase price. Similarly, the charity does not rent an office or anything else that could suggest a “sweetheart” arrangement by which the charity was paying an inflated rental amount to a family insider.

Its expenses, moreover, are both reasonable in nature (printing, website hosting, bank credit card processing fees, etc.) and well-managed in amount. I did not see any travel or other expenses that could suggest benefit, luxurious or otherwise, to the charity’s officers or directors.

Consistent with keeping its expenses in line, a reasonable proportion of the money raised does in fact go to the programs and services which are the reason for the charity’s existence. According to Charity Navigator, 9 out of 10 charities devote approximately 65% of the money raised to programs and services and 7 out of 10 charities devote 75% of the money raised to such programs and services. As you can see from above, Project Ladybug’s percentages have in the last two years fallen squarely within these parameters, with 2009 falling only nominally short. It should be noted, moreover, that 2011’s 68.5% figure was not the result of an increase in expenses but rather it’s simply a reflection of the fact that a slightly larger amount of cash was carried forward to 2012 as opposed to being distributed in 2011.

The only thing different about 2009 was the existence of direct expenses of $47,917. No other years include this expense line item and I presume those costs were related to the function Bravo televised and may have included meals perhaps or something along those lines. It is notable that contributions in 2009 increased correspondingly and the percentage of money going to charity is at 54.5% still respectable, but it occurs to me that the 2009 experience was a learning experience for the charity as direct expenses do not appear in future years.

Project Ladybug now distributes the bulk of the funds raised to three different hospitals annually. The hospitals then use the funds to support the needs of children with cancer, AIDS, etc.

In summary, then, in looking for evidence of abuse I couldn’t find a doggone thing and this is despite the fact that I know what to look for and I looked hard.

Thanks for the figures GPM. At Giudestar.org it states that Project Ladybug “has not reported Revenue & Expense data to GuideStar.” There is a link for Forms 990 Received from the IRS (for 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007) but are included in the GuideStar Premium Report, which requires an account with Giudestar and an upgrade, so it seems, which you must have, or I’m not understanding how to navigate that site.

So according to GPM’s data, in 2011, 31.5% of PL budget went to administrative costs, which is under the 33.3% that Charity Navigator suggests as a guideline, which is good. However, according to a report at CNN Money:

To get the biggest bang for the buck, CharityWatch advises, consumers should donate to charities that use at least 75% of donations for direct aid (no more than 25% of the budget going to administrative costs). The Red Cross, at 91%, is well above that mark.

Nice of you to look into it GPM. That’s a lot of info… good info. So great to hear you didn’t find anything shady and you surely seem to be a reliable source. It’s terrible to put unnecessary questions into people’s mind. It’s especially sad that those trying so hard to dig up dirt were hurting those who could benefit from this charity the most.

50% of money donated goes to hospitals. And then who pockets it?

Off-topic a bit — so when the all-knowing Caroline and her faithful sidesick (typo and it stays) Jac decided to confront 10-year-old Gia Guidice in the basement and force her to make eye contact may want to read this passage from Bill Nason, MS, LLP, an expert in ASD children on his Facebook page:

Please do not turn my head!

Please, please, please do not let teachers, professionals, or any other well intended adults, prompt eye contact by physically turning the child’s head and stating “look at me!” It is bad enough if you are verbally “prompting” the child to look at us, but physically turning the head is a physical assault on their security. They will have difficulty building “trust” in referencing you if you “force” eye contact.

Nothing increases fear and anxiety more then someone grabbing your chin and turning your head to face them. It is intimidating, and threatening. If you want children to feel “safe, accepted, and competent” in your presence, do not “pressure” eye contact or any other interaction. Share, relate, and invite, and you will eventually gain “trust” and reciprocity! “Work with me, trust and respect me, and I will reciprocate! Force yourself on me, and you will lose me!”

Please take special note of the sentences: “Nothing increases fear and anxiety more then someone grabbing your chin and turning your head to face them. It is intimidating, and threatening.”

    Yeah, keep raising that awareness.

I have always been very protective of my kids to the point of threatening violence. I’m not proud of it now, but I have never let anyone physically chastise my children not even family, that’s my job, I was so mad at Jack and Caroline when they did that. I really think Caroline has a problem with women and girls in general.

        October 14, 2013 at 3:29 PM

Everyone slams T’s kids as out of control & undisciplined, like they do whatever. Some things are over the top, like Milania messing w/the food/sitting in the cooler at the grocery store.
T needed to put a stop to that or politely park her cart, tell a employee that due to M’s misbehavior they had to leave & would he/she please replace the food so it doesn’t spoil, and take the kids home.

Because now that I have an active kid w/behavior problems, I know you can’t always “put a stop to” their behaviors.

But what kind of “discipline” are all these people like Caroline & everyone who watches on TV advocating? Smacking the Heck out of them? There’s plenty of research showing that’s not effective discipline-it may temporarily “fix” misbehavior but long-term creates more problems: even if 1 kid responds well, that kid may grow up to have a kid w/behavior problems like my kid & try the exact same thing, which won’t work on that type child [and I feel like Milania may have some of the same traits as my daughter].
Not only will physical punishment NOT work on kids like my daughter, it often results in aggression, & your child WILL Be expelled if he/she hits a classmate or teacher.

Tre definitely indulges her kids/tantrums too much (there’s too much giggling about how cute Milania is…Milania is getting attention & eating it up)…BUT in her way I think she’s trying to not do some things her parents did.
Anyone seeing Tre flip tables & her brother Joe go off–on camera!–has to think some violence/aggression was witnessed or used on them growing up. Old-school discipline?

That’s just a guess, that Tre is erring on the side of being lax rather than “parenting” like she was raised? That she’s self-aware enough or after watching herself/her brother on TV she doesn’t want her kids to have those problems with aggression & being physical (she did shove Andy, not just the table…I know, I know, who *doesn’t* want to push Andy, at this point? It’s still physical aggression though).

I have family members that have tried to spank my kids and I offered to spank them if they tried. They are adults now except the baby. I let my kids speak their mind and a lot of people in my family (old school you better respect your elders) don’t like that. Some of them are just like Caroline. If you tell my kids the sky is orange they are going to correct you. It is a old tradition with my family that children should be seen and not heard. My motto is to let children feel free to express themselves (within reason of course), and I have always listened to my children and taught them right from wrong and set boundaries. My house was the fun house and always filled with children, it still is on most weekends. Probably explains why I never have any food, lol.

You can tell that Al struck the fear of God into his kids, case in point when he yelled and told Caroline to shut the F up. Christopher’s ears were beat red, he looked very nervous and afraid so did Lauren. Caroline spoiled them when they were kids and they were probably brats too. Lauren proves it every time she opens her mouth so why cant Teresa? I admit Milania is a handful but what 5 year old isn’t. I think she just acts silly for the camera personally. Maybe its just her way of dealing with the fact that the camera is following her around and she knows she is on TV. I think that all the children on these reality shows react in different ways, some are super shy and don’t like it, and some love it and just ham it up.

Mkgtdrivethru, I totally agree with you! I think Teresa showed great restraint that day. Caroline and Jac should be ashamed of themselves till this day. I’ve said this before and will say it again Teresa NEVER talked about Ashley. The Manzo’s never let up on that girl, they are the biggest hypocrites ever! Caroline’s grown babies have never stood on their own, Mommy and Daddy are still funding them.

I interviewed Dina in person three years ago about Project Ladybug, she was lovely and very impassioned. I still have the gorgeous PL studded tanktop that I proudly wear. She was very well spoken, very dignified and quite elegant. It was a pleasure to interview her.

Honnie, can you share the interview with us?

      • Honnie Badger
        October 14, 2013 at 9:37 AM

        Hi, Fabulous Fame!

I so wish I could. I had a complete computer crash — lost everything. This was about 2 years ago. I also lost my interviews with Gloria Gaynor, and Lynn Redgrave, among a few other very precious stories — and client work. Just typing this is getting me both sad and frustrated again! Arhg.

But I recall how Dina got the idea in the first place. She took the mail in one day, put it on the coffee table, and when she got to it, there was a color postcard on top with a photo of a girl; as she just scanned it, she thought the girl looked so much like her daughter. It was a save the date type of card for a charity, the girl had passed away from some sort of cancer. The idea of losing her own to something like that haunted her. So she started to get involved and then grew the concept of PL from there. One of the reasons she wanted to do RHONJ was to bring exposure to and encouragement of involvement in charity work for kids, especially, by showing some of the PL meetings, discussions, planning. Again, she was exceedingly devoted. Through PL, she has definitely raised solid funds for two families at that time, and when she spoke about the kids and their families, she got misty eyed.

        • October 14, 2013 at 1:54 PM

Too bad you lost all that data. How exciting to do those wonderful interviews, thanks for sharing.

I hope Dina and Danielle come back because they wont feed into Melissa’s victim storyline. Dina especially hates drama. Without any support from the cast, it will cripple Melissa as a viable housewife. Andy has to realize by now that Mel is not going to make Bravo money because her music and book failed miserably. These ladies could help faze out Mel and Kathy.

  26. October 13, 2013 at 7:52 PM

For me, I think Dina coming back to the RHONJ is a huge mistake. The show has jumped the shark and has lost many viewers and supporters. It is a step backwards for her – why in Heaven’s name would she even consider tying herself up, in any way, shape, or form to Bravo, even if they were to loosen their reins in the contract she would agree to – stoonad!

As much as I like Dina (and Grandma Wrinkles), I just think this is a stoonad idea for her. I have found in life it is never a good idea to go back – there is a reason for the saying “You can never go home again.” She left on a good note – keep it that way, don’t look back, and move forward.

    • October 14, 2013 at 10:07 AM

I agree wholeheartedly. Why would anybody with a brain sign a contract like the ones they offer? She was lucky to get out. It wasn’t until after she got out that they made the contracts so iron clad. I remember Dina saying at the time that they let her leave because she did not violate her contract. At the time you weren’t forced to go and film with anybody by contract. So, Dina said that she would just stay home and iron and cook and run errands and they could film her to her hearts content. That is what she said anyway. Now, unless you have the big guns like Adrienne Maloof, you are screwed. She is better than this. Any life would be better than this.

    October 13, 2013 at 7:56 PM

The idiots at Lynn’s blog were flipping out over the administrative costs. They decided that was what Dina was taking as some sort of payment. The concept of mailings, location fees, websites etc were lost on them. If anyone attired to explain this, they were attacked. Lynn proclaimed to be a housewives expert, but was anything but. She was fired from rumor fix because, even though they liked her, she made so many enemies-every comment was about her. She burned her own bridges.

I know people are not watching the reunion in protest. I watched it and I’m happy I did. Teresa handled herself like a champ. She was cool calm and collected. She explained her points very clearly. They didn’t jump all over her like in past reunions. Rosie, Joey and Melissa actually apologized for some of their heinous comments.
The viewers comments were not slated against Teresa. I think these were actual comments. They weren’t cherry picked comments.
Caroline did try to push Teresa’s buttons. Teresa did nor lose her temper. Andy tried to shame Teresa with the charges. I was so proud of her for handling this whole reunion with grace.

if so/talking about caroline here it is ( i had to copy and paste LOL)

Here we are, at the end of the Housewives Road. It was quite a season, wasn’t it? I hope you all enjoyed it.

I think I’m going to make this short and sweet, because to put all my thoughts into a single blog would take forever and quite possibly turn the blog into a novel, so here goes: I have made the decision to leave The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Over the past couple of years Bravo and I have had numerous conversations regarding my position on Housewives, and they accept and understand where I’m coming from.
When we started filming Housewives so long ago, Al made me promise him one thing. He said, “Just be yourself and have fun with it.” I’ve always prided myself on giving you the truth of who I really am, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Over the past few years my outlook on the show has changed from something I couldn’t wait to show my future grandchildren to something I hope my future grandchildren never see. I’ve always prided myself on being a good example for my children and my decision to leave is based on advice I’ve always given them: “Be true to yourself and be proud of who you are, you are born with a name and you die with a name, don’t dirty it up.” Going back to film another season of Housewives would only make me a hypocrite. For me, peace and integrity cannot be bought with money or fame. I practice what I preach, and as I said on the reunion, I’m done.I simply feel that my role has run its course and I have nothing more to give.

I may be leaving Housewives, but my relationship with Bravo will continue as we started production on a pilot, Manzo’d with Children, which if goes to series promises to give the viewers a very different look into the world of the Manzo Family. We are having an absolute blast filming it, and I hope you all join us as we start our new chapter within the Bravo newtork. We didn’t close the book, we just turned the page.
I posted this quote earlier today on my Instagram, I think it sums my thoughts up perfectly:

“There comes a time in life when you have to let go of all the pointless drama and the people who create it and surround yourself with people who make you laugh so hard that you forget the bad and focus solely on the good. After all, life is too short to be anything but happy.”Thank you so much for being a part of one of the most amazing experiences of my life. You guys are the best.

        xoxoxo

Honestly, I wouldn’t watch a spinoff with any of these women. Maybe a few years ago but they haven’t been fun for a while. Milania though, that little kid has my heart.

I get that vibe from Manzo’d w/Children-kinda like everything Caroline hopes it’ll be, will be the exact opposite, and it’s nice to be snarky.

Please get rid of these dimwits!!!!!!!!!

Wait till you see this week’s – almost the whole show is about the Giudice’s financial issues. It has nothing to do with what happened this season. Andy dedicated an entire half hour on WWHL to the Giudices’ situation and used this to also bring it up instead of using the time to discuss other topics that happened.

      Dispicable man.

WHAT? His sister and BIL are looking at 50 years in prison and he cant’ say he is worried sick about them? He has to let the world know that his sister’s legal issue’s have caused the seratonin levels in his brain to decrease! Ugh! What an idiotic moron!

I’m glad Tre didn’t play into his pity party,(paraphrasing) “Why don’t my parents film with me? They’ll film with you, (referring to Tre), but not me. Why is that?” Tre started telling him that “Mommy and daddy love you!” Then she told him to talk to their parents about that and she’s tired of being in the middle of their issue’s. That’s all it took to shut down his pity party for himself!

        • October 13, 2013 at 10:40 PM

What a little puck he is.

        • October 13, 2013 at 10:42 PM

          Poor boy!!!

His parents won’t film with him because he has been such a lousy son and brother and showing himself to be such on the show – he and his wife have done their very best to destroy Teresa, including belittling and castigating her children and her husband and have outed his parents’ financial situation all on international TV. How humiliating for his parents. They are ashamed of him and it is all his own doing – yet, of course he blames Teresa for “telling them we’re the devils”.

And he just can’t pick up the phone to offer his support to his brother-in-law because HE’s so depressed. What a selfish, sniveling little sh*t he is.

Oh, and of course calling Teresa scum and garbage is in the same category as horseyface – NOT!!!!

        • October 14, 2013 at 10:56 PM

I don’t understand how he doesn’t realize that in the very first episode he filmed he pretty much disgusted his parents and that this just might be the reason they don’t want to film with him.

Because that is the script Dr. V. was given to follow. . .

  33. October 13, 2013 at 9:58 PM

So, I did watch the reunion. The funniest scene, to me, was when TSIL was asking Juicy if he really thought she was ugly, since he referred to her as ”horsey face”. Juicy didn’t answer TSIL’s clear attempt to get him to tell her he thinks she’s pretty! I LOLOLOL!!!

    • October 13, 2013 at 10:17 PM

I think it was kayswhims who educated us on the fake crying – geez, TSIL’s crying when they were talking about the Giudice girls and what was going on was soooooo fake with the breathing and the chest heaving but not one single tear – just like when Nicholas said “I love you” to Jacs, TSIL pretended to cry. Have we ever seen TSIL really cry with real tears? No – we have not.!

      • October 13, 2013 at 10:37 PM

IMHO, I think when people cry they tend to look unattractive. I know I do! I have full lips and they stick out and my nostril’s widen. Plus, I turn red and my double chin turns into a triple chin! My eye make-up smears and I can’t talk in a normal tone! My whole body shake’s! When I do cry it takes me a while to get back into a normal mood. I have big eye’s and they will stay red and tired looking for hours after I break down! Yet, TSIL’s face didn’t seem to crumble. On Bravo’s website their is a pic of TSIL wiping a tear from the ‘corner’ of her eye and she looks pissed, not upset! She’s such a phony!

        • October 14, 2013 at 12:59 AM

I agree … when Tre cries, it’s guttural and you feel it. Also when I cry, I can’t stop the tears from flowing and it’s not dabbing, it’s full blown tears.

          • October 14, 2013 at 1:57 PM

Oh yeah, she has an ugly cry. Jacqueline’s crying doesn’t move me at all. Melissa’s is too fake to count. Caroline’s face just looks the same when she’s crying. Miserable. I’m down with the theory that ugly crying is more legitimate because no one wants to be seen like that.

        October 13, 2013 at 11:48 PM

It all started to me when Joe Go said I looked over at Mellisa and she was crying when they kept two of the Giudice girls for Antonia’s party and she was looking at Gabriella sitting close to him. I think that was a cue to turn on the water works without the tears Call me evil but she stopped when she looked over at Jacqueline with a side eye because (bless her soul), she actually made a few tears fall. 0_o!!!!

      • October 14, 2013 at 10:16 AM

Tears are the only bodily fluids that have not come in contact with TSIL’s face.

Good for juicy. LOVE IT. Don’t tell that whore what she wants to hear. God forbid if something were to happen and she became disfigured for some reason, she would not know how to deal with it. I have NEVER seen anyone so fixated on looks alone. We all like to look are best, it makes us feel better about everything in general, but there is a lot more to life then looks alone. Something Missy knows nothing about. Kind of like the marriage advice she gives.

    • October 14, 2013 at 12:30 AM

  34. October 13, 2013 at 10:52 PM

Ugh just watched the reunion part 2…. and it’s disgusting how Joe Gorga tried to blame Tre for their parents not wanting to film with him lololol ugh maybe because the first scene of the first season The Whoregas came on the show, Gorga was calling his sister garbage lol I’d be ashamed if that was my son.

    • GPM
      October 14, 2013 at 12:40 AM

And then there was the whole “Papa! Papa!” “Go cry to your mother” interchange. Yeah, that was all Tre . . . ***headdesk***

Joe Gorga is sooooo stupid I honest to goodness can almost understand why Tre keeps trying to protect him. Almost.

    • October 14, 2013 at 11:00 PM

I posted the same thing upthread befor I read yours. He’s got to be one of the stupidest people on the planet for blaming Teresa for his parents not filming with them. I’d kick my kid’s ass clear to China if he pulled some shit like that. And I come from a trashy family where it might not be nothing out of the ordinary for something like that to happen 😀

  35. October 13, 2013 at 10:58 PM

Teresa said four hours into shooting Season 3 is when the Christening fight broke out and that is one of the reasons why she knew the only reason they came on the show was to take her down.

TB had the nerve to respond “Maybe I came on the show to get closer to my sister.” Causing a huge fight will certainly do that, don’cha know?!

    I. just. can. not. stand. this. “Thing” (echoing what TB called Joe in the gym during his confrontation with Teresa) that is supposedly such a man.

    • October 13, 2013 at 11:29 PM

Agreed! if anything they just made Teresa more famous or well-known, coming on the show.

    • October 13, 2013 at 11:45 PM

Maybe if TB didn’t use the word “maybe” he might have been a little more believeable beside’s the coward he made himself out to be! TB really made himself look like a fool, a “jacka-s” per Juicy’s words! He’s not a victim! He makes victim’s with his selfishness! He has hurt his parents, Tre, Juicy, Gia, Gabriella, Milania, Audriana, Antonia, Gino and lil’ Joey by his actions/ words!

      • October 14, 2013 at 2:04 PM

If juicy didn’t love and respect Teresa and her parents so very much, he would of beat the holy shit out of gorga by now.

AFTER ALL I DID FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, YOU WANT TO JUST SWEEP IT UNDER THE RUG AND BULLS EYE, STRAIGHT TO THE HEAD ON CAROLINE! Or something to that ex stint.

“AFTER ALL I DID FOR YOU” – Words from the conductor who wants you to climb aboard her guilt trip train. Everyone around her hears these words on a regular basis.

“If you need to lay guilt on your spouse, child, friend or sibling for any reason, think again. Do you really need to abuse and manipulate to get your way? Do you need to drive your spouse into guilt in order for them to love you more? Force your son/daughter to stress or consider suicide, so they can succeed in their school exams? Or do you egotistically want them to follow in your career footsteps, because God forbid you wasted your life on the creation of this child so they can be different to you. And should your best friend feel like a traitor for spending more time with their new love interest than you? ”

ITA! Caroline truly is a bully. I cannot for the life of me imagine why Bravo would legitimize bullying by rewarding Caroline with her own show and give her a platform to inform viewers’ behavior by modeling it. When you consider the terrible cost both individuals and society at large have paid as a result of bullying, it absolutely blows my mind.

        • GPM
          October 14, 2013 at 11:54 AM

I was reading the Jewish Journal piece Cass linked to above and got some insight on this very thing. In recapping Part 2 of the reunion the author says:

“Caroline lets Andy know his questions are of no value and calls him out. Andy stops, reverses with his tail between his legs, and we move on. He is as kind to Caroline as he is mean to Teresa.”

I’ve wondered at times if Caroline reminded Andy of his own mother because I’ve been so confused by his preferential treatment of her. But that actually had the ring of truth to it — Caroline BULLIES him!

And who knows, maybe Melissa bullies Andy, too . . . rape book aside, she certainly appears to bully her husband!

Hnmmm, some food for thought here!

          • October 14, 2013 at 2:04 PM

They are both bullies except I think Caroline steps back with Albert while Melissa runs roughshod over Joe. With Teresa, I used to wonder who was in control but lately it seems like an equal partnership. Or at least, Joe recognizes that his wife is not a fool and cooperates more. Jacqueline had Chris wrapped around her little finger but I don’t think that will last much longer. He looks tired. I’m sure I seem biased but I’d take Teresa’s marriage over any of the others because even though it’s far from perfect, it seems the most even of the cast. The rest are lopsided.

Did anyone else notice Kathy was not seen during most of the second part of the reunion? I watched this on a small TV in my bedroom and it seemed like she was cut out of most of the reunion. Is this because she had very little to say or is it because Bravo is done with her?

    • Russkaya
      October 14, 2013 at 11:23 AM

Because bravo is done with her. She has nothing to add, no storyline. Completely irrelevant. The only time she spoke was when others were attacking tre, just piping in. I love that tre didn’t even respond to or give her the time of day. Her behavior at this reunion was classy composed cool and collected. She did great. Everyone else especially Joey and TSIL made themselves look like fools. When T started talking about the christening in a calm voice and how she felt TSIL and Tb came on to destroy her the camera panned over at them and katfish , TB and TSIL looked so guilty. They denied it but their body language gave them away. I think bravo maybe finally getting the hint that these a holes need to get what’s coming to them otherwise the viewers won’t watch. Ratings don’t lie and that’s all bravo really cares about. That’s why katfish wasnt shown much and rancid Ritchie was uninvited.

Completely off subject but I just watched the episode where Jaco was getting her tummy tuck and during the conversation at the bar the night before when Jax was getting tequila shots Ashley made a comment that Jax needs a kidney transplant more than the tummy tuck and it didn’t sound like a joke. The parents were there also, so that means that she does have a serious drinking problem and they’re all fully aware of it. Maybe I didn’t hear it right but I was kind of shocked that Ashley said that. Maybe it’s already been talked about in this blog, I’m not sure. Anyway just thought I should add that.

Ps I love this blog and I hope that it stays up. It’s makes the show so much more interesting to read the informative posts and all the intelligent comments.

      • October 14, 2013 at 2:15 PM

I completely missed that comment by Ashley. It does go to show Jacs family knows she needs help. My question is, was she serious and Jac has destroyed her liver by drinking or was Ashley just being a smartass?

Caroline let the real Caroline come out with her rant, rage, and indignation over a stupid issue with Teresa last night and wouldn’t let it go. It just confirms, once again, who and what she really is.

To me, Caroline is still angry for the jokes in Teresa’s cookbook and other imagined slights (not touching the real issues here – we all know what those are).

For Caroline, this season was about damage control – even she admitted she was off the charts last season. The problem for Caroline now – we have all seen the real deal – her true self – we know what she is capable of.

Caroline, Season 5, was all smoke and mirrors priming herself and her family for the spin-off, which I think was her ultimate goal early on. She also knew that with the fan base Teresa has, that spin-off would never fly. She needed to make nice with Teresa. She wanted off the show last year but knew she would have no chance in hell to pull off a spin-off with the way she showed her true colors so she used this season to “smooth things over” with Teresa.

That whole reaching out to Teresa and trying to help mend the family – all calculated and planned with a greater goal in mind – salvage her reputation, sell her book, and get a spin-off. The reputation is still in shambles; her book tanked, and the spin-off – even if it gets picked up by Bravo, it will be one season, at best.

Phoney, fake biotch – so many people still see through her.

So Caroline, after your performance last night and once again, your true self rearing its ugly head, I would say to you as I point my well-manicured finger in your face –

    “BIG MISTAKE!!”

IMO, Dina leaving did not bother Chucky. The only Kardashian situation Chucky was pushing was herself and her spawn. Chucky is still trying to sell that train-wreck till this very day. Rumor has it that Dina asked Chucky and Jackhole to stand with her in solidarity to have Danielle taken off the show because, through Jackhole especially, Danielle knew where the proverbial bodies were buried.
Jackhole was cheesed off that Dina hogged that ladybug charity to herself therefore cutting Jackhole out of partaking of the “administrative” costs Dina makes from the “charity”. Chucky was part of the take because the events were held at the Brownstone and they were not comped, so she had no beef there – she was making money off it too, but indirectly. The Brownstone and the owners – Albert, Chucky, Dina’s husband Tommy and Dina – made money off the “charity” dinners just by having them held at The Brownstone.
One must wonder how much money they made off the cash they took in for those raffles they held at the dinner – the $20 tickets to win items that were donated for the event. You can play really fast and loose with cash – I never make donations unless by check for that very reason. Jackhole and Dina had issues long before the show, as attested to by Danielle herself. This was the last straw for ole Jackhole (being cut out) and, in her usual way, went after Dina with a vengeance and put out “insider” stories to a now deceased blogger all about Dina’s “charity”.

These biotches are street fighters, no doubt about it. Dina was expendable. Period. Jackhole and Chucky were NOT going to give up this show because they thought it was their train to fame and riches. I will venture a guess they were thrilled to have Dina gone – more air time for them! Now, they just had Danielle and T to get rid of…Oh, and they needed another charity scam ( enter Autism) to make money off with a tie in to a product…hmmm, BLK, anyone?

Every season Caroline has the same seat at the reunion. She also has the same speech! (We end every reunion with Caroline’s theatrics) Shes a finger pointing defensive bitch, who has overstayed her welcome. She brings zero wisdom to the table..Yet, Andy wants to shove her words down our throats. I still can’t grasp the idea of Caroline and Co. having their own show. The hypocrisy of every castmate disgusts me. I really believe Teresa’s over it…how can she not be? She’s the only one who’s evolved these last 5 yrs. How pety it all must seems to her now!!

I wouldn’t hold my breath that Dina is coming back. Caroline’s blog was very clear that she’s leaving, but Jacko’s not so much. I’m pretty sure Dina won’t come back if Jacko is still on. Kathy’s been demoted, but Rosie’s star is rising (why, I have no idea), so it becomes about the Guidice/Gorga/Wakile family with Jacko as the wacky friend. I bet we get one unrelated-to-any-housewife-and-therefor-interchangeable-every-season housewife filler. That assumes Tre films the next season. Without her this show is dead in the water.

I do sense some in authenticity when it comes to Dina. I know Dina is seen as Teresa’s great friend and this Zen like personality that is above the fray but I just feel like she is being phony about it. She is definitely coming back and I just find it interesting that since reports of her coming back have spread, she’s NOW very open commenting and being surrounded with anything regarding Teresa. I know they had a rift and as of season 4 which was like a year and half ago (or so) but before all this hoopla I don’t think you have seen them hang out like that, or comment on anything, she even unfollowed T on twitter a while back. When someone called her out on it, she used the excuse that T writes too much something along those lines, which I don’t think she does. I don’t know I always felt that Dina was truly a snake pretending to be this Zen like nice personality, like she’s deflecting or projecting this image she wants you to think that she is but it’s far from it (like Caroline who tries to project that the family is perfect but we all know it’s not). Who can forget the infamous Danielle book -I do believe it was Dina showing it around town (the proof is in the convo) and when they were all at Danielle’s house for the spa day she was cackling on the side talking crap about her in her own home, granted D was crazy but u don’t just go to someone’s house and disparage them, and D was really nice to all of them on that day. She uses the excuse of the telephone game and that she could have been friends with D but I’m sorry a real mature adult goes by the actions that someone has with another and not by was said by others because then you’re just falling into the high school game. I really do believe that she’s taking her relationship more public with Teresa now because she’s still trying to be famous and align herself with someone even bigger to attract the fans. I do think she’s still trying to show that she’s grown (image rehab) and beyond all the drama which if that’s the case why involve yourself in it AGAIN. After she left RHONJ she has unsuccessfully tried to branch out on her own and she hasn’t so what is she doing now coming back. Everyone makes her out to be Teresa’s great friend and etc but she has stated several times that she and T have a surface relationship, they “don’t go deep”, and so are they just acquaintances. Which I find a little insulting given that she’s one of T’s daughter god-mother. I was watching an old clip from season 2 christening and she says that she and T are like “kind of like sisters” but years later u guys relationship is different. I don’t think she will be a benefit to Teresa on the show like everyone is making it out to be. I really think that she’s just another person using T’s name and popular which sucks b/c once again T will have another blood-sucker ridding on her coattails.

I agree with your post. I don’t know if I like that Dina is coming back. The way she treated Danielle really turned me off from her. She said so many nasty low blow comments about her. She was the typical mean high school girl ganging up on Danielle. It rubbed me the wrong way the way she belittled Danielle for wanting a good husband, as a woman you just don’t do that because that could be you when you turn 50 and your husband leaves you for a younger woman. That’s what happens when you marry for money. Dina acted very immature and mean and that holier than thou attitude was so transparent and fake. I liked Danielle more, at least she was real. And Dina was acting like she was so much better than everyone including the show and now that everything else failed ( didn’t she get divorced too?) she is that desperate to come back to RHONJ. It shows a lot about her character.. If she was really better than that she wouldn’t be coming back. I just don’t know if it will even make the show any better. I didnt find her all that interesting back then and I don’t know if she will be all that interesting now. I liked the Danielle drama way more, she had a lot of crazy stories and I was interested in her. She was fearless and she kept her cool while everyone attacked her. Maybe if they brought her back, i dont know… So Dina comes back and befriends Tre for Tv time and then what… unless maybe Jan comes on that might switch things up a bit. They need more than just Dina, they need new fresh cast members to really shake things up. . Plus bringing Dina back is like going backwards not forward. I just don’t know how I feel about the whole thing. The whorgas definitely ruined what was once a great show, they took it way too far and the only redeeming thing I could think of is if Bravo takes them down, but I don’t know if that will ever happen.

Enjoyed your post. We all can’t agree on everything but, I do feel Dina will be back. I’m sure she needs the income and exposer for future projects.

OT…I’m watching the Reunion and just love Juicy Joe…the only man who is making sense. I can’t believe TB…who the h$ll does he think he is….trying to blame Tre for their parents not filming with them. If I had a son who acts the way he does on camera…I wouldn’t either. He is such an embarrassment. He didn’t want to film to be with his sister…he just wanted the money. Actually they all did. Does he realize that his children and nieces see what he does….and you call yourself a father and uncle. I’m no prude but his antics were disgusting and sometimes Tre too. Hey, Chuckie…keep talking maybe you’ll start believing your own lies. Sorry, were not all stupid we know exactly what your father in-law was. When Miss ACohen asked about her father in-law…did you see Tre’s face. A picture is worth a thousand words. When TB was talking about the legal matters and saying he was depressed…did you see TSIL…she looks way older than her husband. I do have to say TSIL was really crying…she had the tears and blood shot eyes. Some have called her a narcissistic…maybe that is all that the emotion she can show. Chuckie is a piece of Sh$T…and Tre was right, they all jump in when its non of their business. Let her work it out with Chuckie…she does have a mouth to answer back. In closing, I really feel for Tre, Joe and their daughters…my eyes were watering just watching this episode. I feel like we were saying good-by to them.

    • October 14, 2013 at 2:48 PM

Joey dumb ass, your parents to not want to film with you because you came on your sisters show just to take her down. They know the truth and how your hooker wife has destroyed your family unit. They support Theresa for a reason and it’s not because they favor or love her more than you. Wake up.

There are two @BradClifton and @Brad Clifton (this second one belongs to a Brad Smith). I am also a little suspect about @dentalgirl5 (looks like a fake account she may have made up) and @Maria, an Olympic champion. This a more than creepy. Who does this?

      • October 14, 2013 at 4:22 PM

Jaq is most likely paying for twitter followers and fake tweets.

“People do definitely pay people to follow them to pump up their numbers. Websites like fiverr.com sell 1,000 fake followers for $5. So these companies will actually create fake Twitter accounts that follow a bunch of people and may put out some fake tweets to show that they’re “real.” But if they’re not really followed by that many other people, then chances are you can take a look at them and say those are actually fake Twitter accounts.”

I can’t stand Kathy or her family, and I always thought that Teresa threw REAL shade at Kathy in every season of fake drama, so I found this news very interesting. Didn’t Kathy help Jac out by showing up for last years Autism fundraiser? At least she has a real life connection to Project Ladybug by way of Victoria’s medical issues. But still….really?

I hope that Project Ladybug isn’t being questioned here as an “iffy” organization. I know them to be ethical and genuine, despite the fact they’re a small(ish) effort. And I just want to add that Cookie Rooney is solid GOLD.

        October 14, 2013 at 1:44 PM

I agree. Now that TC (Teresa’s cousin) has been added to the PLB event, I am convinced that this has to be a filmed event for S6 and Dina has already signed on the dotted line and re-sold her soul to the devil. I tweeted her a couple of weeks ago that I hoped she would not go back to the viper pit that is Bravo/Sirens and this time there would be no escape for her. If this is indeed what is going on, then I will have no sympathy for her, because she KNOWS better. Does she have amnesia or something? If she willingly does this, then she is taking a step backwards and everything she has ever said about moving on and wanting peace was all lies.

        • October 14, 2013 at 2:29 PM

Don’t they have to advertise if they are going to be filming?

So many great comments to yet another fascinating blog! 🙂 Must add my random round up of thoughts – please ‘scuse my incoherence in advance?

    * “Manzo’d with CHILDREN”????? So priceless on so many levels…like miamichick posted…Caro certainly is driven to keep this schtick going (the quirky, fun family with the straight shootin’ matriarch and the work-a-holic hub…interacting with those darn CHILDREN) Another EPIC FAIL on the way Caroline! *waving*

    * Juicy Joe summed it up nicely @ R2, that the WHORGA’S were making themselves “look like jack asses” on TV by relentlessly going after Teresa as some kind of master mind of the accusations against MeHO. Short, sweet and effective response.

    * And Boy Howdy, are they all climbing on the Juicy Joe bandwagon or what? LMAO. Juicy has defied the “reality” odds of staying popular – even in the face of the attempts by ANDY COHEN et al – to paint him as a gay basher/serial cheater and abusive C word user. The jokes on you Andy, HA! I find Rosemarie Pierri to be moronic with a touch of despicable, but could tell there is GENUINE affection between her and Juicy. All the others are FAKE and not only are they riding the wave of fan opinion of him, all of them, especially Cow-0-line, are painting him as the likeable victim of Evil but dumb Genius Teresa. Delicious stuff and all accomplished by Huicy just being himself!

    * Xanjax had the good sense to keep her mouth shut din’t she? Wonder if it’s medication or a moment of clarity? Her only hope of even being a “Friend” is to get along with T….and T, as the “GOOD EMPLOYE” followed the script by stating that she and Jaxie could “move forward.” Girl may be whackAdoodle…but not too nuts or stoned to realize her own legal probs may land her and Shady Chris in jail/poorhouse, She needs to keep options open…even she must realize Caro’s spin off ain’t going anywhere, right?

    * I also loved how T would respond to her brother, just barely to Melissa and not at all to Kathy and Rosie. If they are filming the LadyBug Fundraiser, I feel certain that Kathy will be relegated to crowd shots, just as she and The Whorgas were before coming on to the show. And for me, that’s fine if Teresa wants to be civil to Kathy-Rosie or any of the other snake members of her family. Their FAILURES really is the best revenge.

    * When JOE GORGA was mewling about his parents refusal to film with him, I wish Teresa had just said “But Mommy and Daddy DID film with you Joey…..at The Christening!” 🙂

    Random, incoherent Dina-thoughts>>>

I remember “liking” Dina, but didn’t buy her Zen act. I remember thinking that CrayCray-ielle Staub OWNED her at their sit down…as well as Caro at the whole matriarch to matriarch sit down. I remember feeling aggravated by this, as I hadn’t cared for Danielle’s increasing brand of crazy since the whole driving with her daughters-stalking Caro’s bribe the police party.

Someone asked me upthread why I thought Dina showed “the book” around town and I just can’t remember. It isn’t just that I bought the whole “Caro took the blame for her Lil Sis” BS…or that I believe the sub titled now deleted convo Jaxie was having with Caroline as she sat on Shady’s lap. My memory isn’t what it used to be, but I’m thinking somewhere out there on the interwebs, Dina admitted that she took “the book” to the salon and elsewhere.

I also remain confused by the Jax-Caro convo with Jax stating “…you know who she is…” (???)

I’m prolly wrong on this, but for whatever reason, I believe wholeheartedly that Zenmaster Dina was an integral part of the gang up around town. I believe she is a Mean Girl like her Big Sis and enjoys gossip.

I wouldn’t call Dina a failure like I do the others, but she certainly hasn’t reached “Teresa-like” success altho’ she’s had many opportunities to branch out/brand. I think she’d be a fool not to return to the Show at this point. There’s not going to be an endless supply of offers to pilot House Party or Wedding Shows right? If she and Teresa use their past experience and knowledge of how this “reality” works, I think both could use their somewhat genuine friendship/”alliance” to make big things happen for both of them…stand together and continue to expose MeHO, advance their products and good works and just have a lot of FUN (again) with this whole thing.

I wouldn’t completely trust her, if I were Teresa. I wouldn’t trust ANYBODY if I were Teresa tho’ – lol! 🙂 Let’s not forget that the same sibling who left Caroline out of the obituary for the nephew, also left Dina out of it too.

The Lauritas are one strange brood.

Spaghetti you rock. I wonder if dina has 9 lives, how many shows have they tossed her way? The Lauritas are one strange brood, almost frightening how far they carry a grudge. Can’t imagine how dina could not reach out to Chris and Jax about Nick especially after losing a nephew and being left out of the obit. I loved your well thought out comments.

    • October 14, 2013 at 11:17 PM

I think it just makes sense that it was Dina who took the book around. Danielle was a lot of things, but why would she lie about her hairstylist or whatever telling her that it was Dina. I don’t know how much I like or trust Dina…she got off the show before I really started questioning things. I do doubt she is as sweet and innocent as she would like us to believe though because NONE of them are.

I feel bad that I often don’t get back to acknowledge any replies to my posts… but I just had to thank those who commented and relayed their sympathies for my sick pup. The original post was about a week ago so I felt more comfortable posting it here (I doubted it would be seen on that previous blog) because I do want everyone to know that I so appreciate your thoughtfulness and concern.

The prednisone treatment has relieved her discomfort. The vet said it may put her in remission… short term but we’ll take whatever we can get. She is doing really good right now, wants to go for walks, has an enormous appetite and I’ve been giving her all kinds of treats I wouldn’t normally give her. She’s loving it! She’s one strong willed pup. She also makes it obvious when she’s in pain. When that happens, we’ll know it’s time.

But right now we want to enjoy the time instead of worrying about when it’s going to end. We consider every day with her as a gift.

    Thanks for listening. 🙂

dch60, you and Jeannie touched my heart today. I read your message at work and I wanted to share this poem with you.

When God had made the earth and sky
      the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals
the fish, the birds and bees.

And when at last He’d finished
not one was quite the same.
He said, “I’ll walk this world of mine
and give each one a name.”

And so He traveled far and wide
      and everywhere He went,
      a little creature followed Him
      until it’s strength was spent.

When all were named upon the earth
and in the sky and sea,
the little creature said, “Dear Lord,
there’s not one left for me.”

Kindly the Father said to him,
“I’ve left you to the end.
I’ve turned my own name back to front
and called you dog, My friend.”

      –Author Unknown

May God keep you and your puppy in this difficult time. She was blessed with a wonderful Mom and family.

All I have to comment on all these idiots is that I just love Juicy joe . He always has the best comments! “You two look like jackasses! ” Then he just shut up and let them hang themselves with more stupidity. and Teresa stood her ground and had thought about what she wanted to say and said it. Kudos to Tre. Andy is an ass making the whole reunion about the Giudices legal issues but at least that made it difficult for the others to attack when they would look heartless, which they are, but they were smart enough to back off considering the seriousness of it….except Caroline! Tre played that perfectly bringing out the ugly in the ol hag!

Because Bravo listens to what the viewers really want.. NOT…I’m anticipating a united front between Teresa and her family..What they fail to acknowledge ( Bravo) is most viewers cannot or will not cuddle up to this. For me there is no redemption amongst that group.. Dina or no Dina, I will never be a believer of a true relationship between Teresa and Melissa or Teresa and Kathy..Too much water under the bridge. I have to agree though, if Kathy is going to be at the fund raiser with Teresa and Dina..Bravo is filming already!!

Always thought the Bravo blogs were a tad bit shaded… Never seen Tre’s blogg so over run with nasty’s.. have attempted 3 times to reply to a nasty dig by someone at my comment and me on a personal level on Tre’s blog and bravo wont let it through. And it’s a polite post content too. Just irritating (lol not fair) Also wanted to ask if Meho is too scared to post a blog and will just skate out not doing one for the last two weeks??

  67. October 14, 2013 at 6:29 PM

Miss Andy asked Teresa if she would return to the show, during his interviewing with her and Joe.This proves she was not in a long term contract with Bravo, she could have left. Miss Andy will film her again in a bad light, that will influence potential jurors. She should have walked away from Bravo, live on a budget and concentrate on her upcoming trial. She just put the nail in her coffin returning to Bravo. Dina will turn on Teresa in a heartbeat, if Miss Andy instructs her to. I guess Teresa had no choice but to return to season 6,because of huge legal fees, she had to sale her soul to the devil, named Miss Andy Cohen.

      October 14, 2013 at 7:58 PM

steelers75, I think you’re right when you say that Teresa had no choice but to return to Season 6 because of huge legal fees.

Teresa and Joe are out $1 million in bail already, half of which had to come from Joe’s parents. They’re also paying two lawyers, one of whom is also representing Joe in his state case. The fees to successfully represent Joe and Teresa in their joint criminal case could easily exceed $1 million and, because the stakes are so high, they have to go all in to salvage anything that they can of their lives.

If they were to lose, moreover, the Feds have asked for forfeiture, meaning they would will lose much if not everything they own. This means their four young children, surrounded by loving but impoverished and elderly grandparents, will be left penniless and entirely dependent on their aunts and uncles while their parents are incarcerated.

(When I read the posters who long for this outcome, it literally turns my stomach. There are so many children in that horrible situation as it is, how could anyone want more children to suffer?!? And why — because Joe Giudice, a high school drop out who doesn’t know if he has eggs or not, listened to some huckster bankster whose job it was to churn out and sell as many mortgages as possible, however unsound?)

In short, I think Teresa HAS to make as much money as she can right now as it could be her last chance for some time to secure any kind of stability for her children.

The only question in my mind is whether Bravo will continue the heartless exploitation of the Giudices it began two seasons ago or whether the network will show some measure of human compassion to a mother of four young girls who is literally carrying the weight of their fate on her bowed but not yet broken shoulders.

Bravo’s got everything it needs — a package full of wishes, a time machine, a magic wand, and a globe made out of gold. Take a chance, d@#nit — Teresa’s trial gives you the perfect opportunity to build a masterpiece. We’re all tired of living in a cesspool.

      • October 14, 2013 at 8:29 PM

This post is excellent GPM. The situation the Giudices are in is between a rock and a hard place. And sadly, the words “Bravo” and “show some measure of human compassion” in the same sentence is an oxymoron. It will never happen – Bravo would sap every ounce of Teresa’s strength from her if they could.

By the way, I want to take this opportunity to say I enjoy reading your comments. You offer such insight and educated points to ponder – thank you!!

Andy Cohen isn’t the head person of Bravo. He’s only the Senior Vice President of production & programming.

You might be surprised who give him orders:
      http://www.nbcumv.com/mediavillage/networks/bravo/executives

Yep, two women. Bonnie Hammer & Frances Berwick are higher up than he is and all the other executives in the company on the Bravo corporate ladder.

Granted I’m sure Andy Cohen has a large say in everything but he’s just a small portion of the pie. 8 women & 3 men have a say in what goes down at Bravo and they’re all part of the problem, not just poster boy Andy.

So once again, we are subjected to a fake ending – and I have to admit I thought it was weird how that whole conversation was brought up at the end – almost like an afterthought – and now I know it was.

steelers75, myself, and others have echoed Fame’s opinion, which she has stated several times – regardless of her financial situtation, Teresa needs to to leave this show, concentrate on getting her REAL life back in order and, most importantly, protect her kids as much as she can given the horrible situation those kids are potentially facing. Being exposed and in the spotlight is NOT in the best interests of those girls now, in my opinion. All energies and efforts should be put into making sure those kids are going to be okay just in case both Teresa and Joe wind up going to prison – not just financially (and they will be okay in that way with the extended family) but also emotionally and spiritually.

Kay thanks for putting up the link to read Teresa’s personal blog. Once again, to paint Teresa in a certain light, they played scenes from the reunion out of sequence, and comments that Teresa made when Dr. V. was still on stage, got played at the end of the reunion to act like Teresa deliberately ended the reunion on a harsh note between her and Caroline. Despicable!! Apparently, they wanted Caroline to go out with a bang yelling at Teresa, in her usual fashion, over the last few seasons.

Teresa wanted to point out that fact, especially when footage didn’t appear on the show (Teresa continuing to work with the horse until it lifted its leg and that Caroline had a melt down about doing the high wire exercise). Teresa was obviously very affected that Caroline called her superficial when she did all the exercises and stuck with them, even if the footage was edited out. Also, I think her point was that if Albert and Caroline were miserable and arguing, that it was them whose hearts were not into it, and not Teresa who wasn’t making the effort. Teresa saw this as a blatant lie about her, and Caroline was the one putting that out there that Teresa didn’t care about healing with family. Caroline called the arguing a lie, but Teresa said she heard that they had been arguing, and it was reported by FauxReality, that Jacqueline had contacted people back in Jersey, and told them that Al and Caroline were arguing a lot and were miserable.

Once again, it was okay for Caroline to comment on Teresa and her life and character, but Teresa could not do the same with her, without it being such a big deal. Also, Teresa said her comments and Caroline’s rants about it, were when Dr. V. was still on stage, but edited in at the end of the reunion–obviously to look like Teresa wouldn’t let it go and was still being critical of Caroline and the end of filming. How deceptive, yet once again, of Bravo to do this with the editing, to make Teresa look petty, and give Caroline the last (nasty) word on the show, especially since she is leaving the show. I hope no one will watch the Manzo spin off show, as this woman is so phony and her life is the fake one. Teresa’s business gets put out there (whole reunion practically was about Teresa’s issues while never bringing up anyone else’s), but God forbid Teresa lets viewers know what really happened (especially with Manzos/Lauritas), and Teresa is a liar. Bravo isn’t fooling anyone, and the Manzos are the last people on Earth, that I want to see more of their lives–especially when it is all fake and phony.

I agree with some of the comments left above that carowhine was trying to save face this season b/c of her behavior last season. This season she had to be on her best behavior and be all nicey nice to Teresa. She is truly pathetic. She is just looking out for herself and those 3 over grown brats. That lame show of hers is going to fail just like everything else that she does !! I am so fed up with her self righteous attitude. Jaco was also doing damage control at the reunion sitting there and saying nothing. If I was Teresa I would never ever want to be friends with Jacoholic ever again she has some serious mental issues that need to be addressed.
And now to Melissa all that fake crying last night was a joke, there was no water coming out of her eyes . Melissa is truly a pathological liar/ sociopath. She has the exact type of personality as someone like courtney love or a ted bundy or charles mansen all are which are sociopaths even though bundy is dead. She lacks the human capacity to feel anything, she has no empathy nor any remorse towards another human being. She will stop at nothing to destroy another person. Melissa is just plain evil, at the reunion she never did once answer any question that was given all she did was deflect and divert.
And now Kathy I really despise her too. what was up with the smirk on her face the entire reunion. Did anyone catch her face ? She doesn’t give two shits about Teresa. She is just simply jealous like the rest. the only time she spoke was when it was time to gang up on Teresa. I also don’t like rosie either she is really annoying. Joe Giudice was brilliant at the reunion. I love how he put dumb and dumber in their place. Joe Gorga is just a disgrace. That’s all I will say about that POS.
And finally the Dina situation. Dina was not innocent in any of the crap that came out about Danielle or what happened to her. I always had the feeling that caroline was covering for her, when it came to the book revealing at chateau. Dina did not care about ruining Danielle’s reputation or her kids. They all were involved in the Danielle drama in season 1 with the exception of Teresa who was just told about it. Carowhine and Jaco did not care about dina either they were happy that she was gone. So now they just had to hatch a plan to get rid of Danielle and Teresa. I also think it’s odd that Dina wants to come back to the show now, maybe cause most of her ventures failed after she left the first time. I don’t trust dina she seems to want to ride off the fat of Teresa’s back now. Now she is all over the place with her. We must all remember that Teresa is the most popular and successful. Maybe now dina want’s a piece of Teresa’s pie cause she see’s what it has done for tre………………….

I agree with those of you that don’t seem to be so eager to see Dina back. I had just joined twitter back before RHONJ ever even aired and ironically one of the first few people I followed were Dina ( once the show aired) and some of the people Fame mentioned in her post. I never tweeted, just read. However, I recall becoming very incredulous over the whole thing. It was quite a learning experience for sure. The whole thing was an ugly all out twitter war. It was ugly. Fast forward five years and I’ve learned so much. Like life is too short for bs. You can meet nice people online. And Fames blog is the best blog around! Thank you, Fame for always bringing the truth to us 😃

I am so depressed because it appears that Melissa will be back for another season. I can’t understand how this pathetic creature wins nice again in her quest to hurt Teresa and Teresa’s family. Keeping Melissa is a punch in the face to Teresa by bravo after all the damage she has wrought on the children and elderly parents in her quest for fame and revenge. Her dumb ass husband threw away his relationship with his parents so he could walk the red carpet with his cheating skank of a wife. He sh she joined the show to be closer to Teresa. He is such a pussy whipped liar. He did it to destroy her and the christening outburst was him bringing the drama as promised. In order to stay on the show he had to bring it and he did, 4 hours into filming. Poor Teresa had no idea what was happening. To bad she couldn’t break contract and walk away, leaving Melissa with no storyline. Now it appears Melissa stays and possible Teresa goes to jail. I am heartsick. Where is the justice in this world where someone does something so evil and they are rewarded? I have nothing but contempt for Andy Cohen and disgust at the gorgas.

I just stumbled across this forum and enjoyed reading all the comments and the background info that was new to me. I’ve always disliked Caroline (and her unattractive loser sons) the most and am glad to see I am not alone in that. I can’t stand her faux sanctimony and we all know they have or had mob ties so she can stop acting so offended because no one is buying it. And don’t get me started on the others. I think Teresa’s problem is that she is actually quite stupid, uneducated and clueless (plus she has brought up her daughters as entitled bratty divas). Actually, those 3 adjectives apply to the entire group. (And by the way, I read Teresa’s reunion blog entry (link was above) and there is no way in Earth that she wrote that herself.) But my real reason for posting here is to state my view that I enjoy snarky comments and nicknames as much as anyone, but I find the nickname “Miss Andy Cohen” very offensive. Trash him for promoting trash if you want, or fault his interview questions, but IMO homophobia – for that is exactly what the nickname represents – has no place here.

Ummmmm….. Let me tell you something, one of the reasons he’s called Miss Andy has nothing to be with him being gay. Its because he asks like a total Bitch at times in the way he deals with Teresa. And another thing some might find it offensive to refer to her kids the way you did. The children are innocent in this matter and lastly who cares if she had help writing her blog.

And I find your saying that Teresa is stupid to be offensive. It is not true. I guess you don’t know that her books were very successful. She also did quite well on the Celebrity Apprentice. I do not know what her involvement was with the 39 counts charged against her and her husband and will wait until it goes to court and rethink my position. Why didn’t you say that Jac or Melissa are “stupid”? You will find a lot to lay that description on them.
As for Andy he is very unpopular here and has proven to be a very low and disgusting person in his actions and comments and I truly believe he hates women in general. If he was a decent, moral human being he wouldn’t have earned his various names on the blogs. “Miss Andy” is one of the milder ones you will run across.
This is a fun group where you will find the truth and I hope you will learn a lot.

Let’s hope Melissa ” the single white female stalker ” doesn’t take over that friendship too.
Glad Caroline the hypocrite is gone. The fact that she knows Melissa came on to destroy Teresa sickens me. I tweeted her that im sure she would not have liked a sister in law who she didn’t get along with come on the show to destroy her. No response of course! ! But of course its a ok for TSIL to do that. I hope TSIL gets exposed even more next season. Her constant lies, her roid rage husband, & evil sisters need to get some karma back at them.

    Reality Tea

    Dina & care0line manz0 tea

Sorry about the name butchering, they have Google alert in their phones and don’t want to get outed.

So here’s the REAL reason behind their drama.

So its no surprise Karoline manzo worships the manzo side of her family more than her real blood, she worships her husband who she thinks walks on water along with his brother, mostly due to the fact that she and her family didn’t grow up with money. she encouraged Dina to marry Al’s brother, even though they were BOTH dealing with other people, she wants to keep the manzo $$ in their family because she was tired of being the only sibling living good having to take care of everyone else.

Dina’s husband was cheating from JUMP, he didn’t want to do the platinum weddings episode because many of his jumps around the country would be pissed. Al and Tommy would double team chicks together, their wait staff, hostesses, bartenders, thaysbwhy Caroline wanted the kids at at brownstown to keep an eye on al..little did they know daddy had a place in jersey city for one of his baetenders …forget the ‘crash pad” brownstone appt.

TOMMYS cheating is why he was never featured on the show. he had a serious girlfriend on the side, which Caroline knew and kept secret. Dina knew he was cheating but didn’t know that literally everyone on the manzo side including her big sister were helping him.

During hurricane sandy his side pieces house (which he was paying for) got wrecked and AL and Kar0line lent their Hoboken apt to her and tommy while it was getting fixed. Dina found out when they insurance company called the house phone to schedule an appraiser to survey the damage at the side pieces house.

The final straw was in June 2012 when tommy, Al and the boys (including Chris, Jacqueline husband) supposedly went on a BLKwater business trip and Dina’s friend called her fron Miami bc she saw tommy and his gf at the Viceroy. Dina called Kar0line pissed but she kept lying for tommy, wtf kind of sister is that? Yes they have their sisterly issues but the bulk of their issues is because of Tommy’s cheating.

    http://www.realitytea.com/2014/07/29/amber-marchese-calls-melissa-gorga-childish-blames-rhonj-editors-for-making-her-husband-look-bad/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=amber-marchese-calls-melissa-gorga-childish-blames-rhonj-editors-for-making-her-husband-look-bad

On February 1, 2013, Dina Manzo tweeted that she and Tommy, her husband of seven years (and Albert Manzo’s brother), were getting divorced and had been separated since October 2012 (Albert and Tommy co-own The Brownstone in Paterson, NJ). Hurricane Sandy hit in October 2012, around the same time as the separation.

My secret…I have been separated since October, my heart hurts but Tommy & I will always share a very special love. So grateful for the support of my loved ones during this time, especially my spiritual friends. You know who u are xoxo. And of course my biggest supporter Lexi, Tommy adores her & they will remain close.

If the tea spilled above is true, the final straw would have been when Caroline loaned her Hoboken apartment to Tommy and his girlfriend after hurricane Sandy hit in October 2012. The June 2012 incident would have led up to that – when Tommy, Al, Chris, Albie and Christopher supposedly went on a BLKwater business trip and Tommy brought his girlfriend, which Dina’s friend found out about and reported to Dina, who called Caroline because she was pissed that Caroline kept lying for Tommy.

Tommy and Dina’s wedding was featured on VH1’s ‘My Big Fabulous Wedding’ in 2007. That same year Dina was cast on RHONJ.

Jim Marchese tried to create controversy for Dina and Project Ladybug in October 2014.

Jim’s later tweeted that he was mistaken in his earlier tweets lambasting Dina and her charity.

He must have been planning to team up with Jacqueline Laurita (and the Wakiles) in season 7 to disgrace Dina, but Dina foiled their plans – she tweeted recently that she will not be returning for season 7:

The following are Jim’s tweets admitting he made a mistake about Dina and her charity.

The following are his earlier tweets where he tried to put her charity in a bad light (just like Jacqueline did a few years ago).

Dina tweeted that Caroline was on the board of Project Ladybug up until last year or so.

Dina tweeted on November 11, 2014: “I came back this season to be by T’s side. Not sure what the future holds… I was PROMISED it was going to be a lighter season. More like season 1 in the beginning. Fans request…I’m a sucker I guess.”

On November 17, 2014, a “source” told RumorFix that during season 6 both Jacqueline and Chris addressed their issues with Dina, but the footage was cut from the season and shelved:

“The footage is mostly about Chris opening up as to why he is upset with Dina and, surprisingly, he details how Jacqueline was the one encouraging them to have a relationship. Chris says it was always Jacqueline who has tried to mend their family.”

The source adds, “Jacqueline just talks about the fact that she doesn’t hate Dina, that she is just frustrated with not being able to get through to her.”

“It should be noted,” the source continued, “that Chris also addresses the fact that the reason he is upset with Dina has absolutely nothing to do with Jacqueline. She truly isn’t the reason they have issues.”

    http://rumorfix.com/2014/11/jacqueline-laurita-didnt-address-issues-dina-manzo-tv/
