Melissa Gorga’s Marriage Advice Spells Doom for Newlywed Woman; Melissa Doesn’t Know Her Father-in-Law’s Name is Giancinto

September 30, 2013

The following video is not an embedded ad – it’s related to the review below by Classy Norm of Melissa Gorga’s “marriage advice bible and sex book” and her writing that “girls don’t poop”:

“Girls don’t poop. Me, never have. Never will. It just doesn’t happen. Or, that’s what Joe thinks! We’ve been married for nine years, and he has never once seen or smelled my business. How have I pulled this off? I don’t do it when he’s around or awake. In an emergency, I have my ways of pooping so he won’t hear, smell, or see. It’s a challenge.” – Melissa Gorga, Love Italian Style: The Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage

This review is for: Love Italian Style: The Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage

Do NOT buy this Book!!!!!! I am NOW GETTING DIVORCED because of this book!!!

I recently bought this book and took it very seriously, as I am just recently married and was desperate to have a hot, sexy, happy marriage like Melissa and Joe.

One of Melissa’s strategies in her book for a great marriage was never ever let your new husband know you POOP! Well my husband was recently laid off and was at home while he was looking for a new job and I REALLY had to poop so bad but couldn’t get away from him. I figured I would wait till he went to sleep to poop. As I was sitting on my hubby’s lap caressing his head like I always do, my tummy started to rumble and before I knew it I POOPED MY PANTS right on his lap!!! He was so mortified he ran out of the house saying he needed to get some milk at the store and has NOT been seen since!!

I would NOT recommend this book to anyone suffering with bowel issues! Ugh.

This review is for: Love Italian Style: The Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage

Since I’m just learning to read books with lots of pages, my tutor thought this would be a good starter book for me.

Before I started, I shaved my pits and legs, gave myself a good bikini waxing, threw on some yoga pants, and put on a super hot top over my too small push-up bra. I also ordered Chinese food and put it on a plate for when my man came home.

I wrote a quick note to my “King” on the napkin next to the Chinese food. The note said: “Dear King, this is your queen. I’ve shaved, haven’t pooped, and prepared this meal for you. You can find me in my recording studio, reading my first book with lots of pages. Your Devoted, Queen.”

I don’t understand all the hateful reviews. For a first time reader, I found the sentence structure to be very simple. Perhaps this book should be required reading for middle school girls. My favorite part of the book was, “Loin & The Ram: A Wild Love Story”. Who doesn’t love a great zodiac story! I hope Melissa Gorga’s second book with lots of pages in it has more zodiac stories.

If you haven’t read this yet, download some of Melissa’s iTunes songs, strap on some headphones, and engross yourself in the tale that Melissa Gorga wove. Just be sure to properly groom yourself and put some Chinese food on a plate for your “King”.

In related news, Melissa wrote in her book that her son Gino Anthony was named after her father-in-law (see image below), and she writes his name is Giancarlo, but it’s not … his name is Giancinto!

And if little Joey’s middle name is Marco, how can he be Joe Gorga, Jr.?

She also wrote that Joe didn’t have any cousins or aunts or uncles in New Jersey growing up, but Rosie and Kathy (and their brothers) are his cousins (and their parents are his aunt and uncle), and they grew up together… in New Jersey!

It is like they don’t exist. Caroline Manzo is listed in the index. She is the sister TB never had so I guess she is worth mentioning.

    • September 30, 2013 at 9:00 PM

plus Kathy and Rosie have like four or more brothers who are not on the show and never mentioned.

I knew there were more siblings but I did not know she had so many brothers. I wonder if she gets along with all her SILs lol If I was her brother, I would have a talk with Rich about his roaming eyes and hands. Kathy met Rich on a plane. He proably ask her if she wanted to join the mile high club. A can’t believe she thought he was going to bring comic reliefto the show. Now of course she finds him annoying.

There is nothing good, when you meet your mate or the next on the public transportation.
My ex was riding trains in Poland – MIA since 1998. I did get over it – my kids didn’t.
How desperate do you have to be to pick a guy from the public transportation?
Well I was married once and divorced twice in the court of laws – nightmare. Never again…

I felt like vomiting just reading the passages above. This woman lives in a fantasy land. She can’t go a way fast enough for me. I heard we have a three part reunion. Why? If itr is all sunshine and roses to pretend that they like each other for Caroline’s spin-off.

I seriously believe Melissa Waco wanted her silly book to be just like Fifty Shades!!

    • September 30, 2013 at 9:17 PM

I think you are right! I haven’t read “50 Shades of Grey” and don’t know much about it, but Lynnfam did a story about it (http://lynnfam.com/2013/09/28/fifty-shades-of-gorga-a-book-review/), and it makes sense to me. Melissa even said or blogged or tweeted that Joe wanted to name the book “50 Shades of Gorga.” Such copycats!

      • September 30, 2013 at 9:43 PM

I totally agree. My then 21 year old daughter insisted I read it and I could only get past the first chapter. It wasn’t the subject matter…the writing style just seemed to be, heck, I don’t know…young? I even flipped through to see if it got better, but it didn’t. About the best thing that I can say about it (50 Shades) is that it did make it acceptable or more mainstream for women to read erotica

Not surprising considering it started out as a Twilight fanfic. The level of skill with the written word displayed in most fanfics,ESPECIALLY Twilight ones, is pretty much universally abysmal. Melissa Gorga knows jack and shit about BDSM. Although I bet she’d stomp a guy’s nuts in her stripper heels for a $20. I could totally picture Joe paying her to do it too. More easily than I can picture him being a dom. He don’t have what it takes. The offensive quote wasn’t Joe confiding in the readers about the kinky shiz he and Melissa get into. It was him ADVISING other men on what to do when a woman refuses sex. And his advice was to ignore that refusal and do it anyway. That’s rape. There’s no spin, no subtext, no context that can change the meaning of his words. I don’t care if he’s too big of a moron to realize what he was advocating, what advice he was giving. He said it. He, Melissa, and Bravo need to nut up and take responsibility for how disgusting and socially irresponsible it was and stop trying to spin it into a harmless personal anecdote.

          • October 1, 2013 at 7:08 PM

I laughed out loud while reading “Classy Norm’s” review!

I’m still trying to figure out how this book passed the editorial process. She would have done better by self publishing – the guys at Kinkos have a much better eye than the people who edited this mess.

As for the content, I don’t know where to begin. I just hope that the bad reviews keep coming – she has to be made accountable for some of her BS. I have never seen a person who doubles down on her lies as often as MeHo does!

    • September 30, 2013 at 8:35 PM

I tried to read the first chapter a few months ago, when it was put online. I could not finish, I was becoming dizzy. The time periods were off, it went from her getting beat up, to her father passing, then her becoming a cheerleader. Now, from what I am reading it turns into 50 Shades of Gray.

I truly believe no editor would work with her, because she rejected all of their advice.

        October 1, 2013 at 6:11 AM

Moma, I couldn’t finish it either! I think I got as far as the “Boca Bitches.” We laugh about it, but she is a pathological liar. I can find some sympathy for someone who has a rocky past and feels the need to whitewash it a bit – but she lies about EVERYTHING!!

I haven’t gotten around to reading 50 Shades yet (I know, I’m the only one who hasn’t) but from what my friends tell me, 50 Shades stirs feelings other than nausea.

Messy is over at her bravo blog explaining the ” marital rape” hoop la she’s using some pretty big words looks like someone is helping her and has been coached on what to say and how to say it. We all know these aren’t her words otherwise she would have used them when writing the book to explain exactly what her husband meant.

    • September 30, 2013 at 8:26 PM

Whoever wrote her blog, should have wrote her book. Deflect, backpedal — whatever. It’s not just 1 blogger that “misinterpreted” it, it is 1/2 of the damn world. And you know what No is No. She didn’t indicate it was playful or on agreement, it was stated as fact. She’s a succubus and disgusts me.

    • September 30, 2013 at 9:01 PM

I would have believed it a lot more if she said he started saving when she got pregnant. I highly doubt a man in his 20s saves money for his future kids college funds…..even BEFORE he is married. YEAH NOPE! My husband and I have talked about it and my husband has said he MIGHT save his GI bill for our kid’s college fund but he did not think about that before we got married and we barely talk about that right now, since we are not planning on having kids soon. A playboy, jersey boy who spent every night at a strip club thinking about future kid while going to college? hmm yeah right!!!! BTW when reading that she got married right away made me think of something. What if they got married BECAUSE she got pregnant? Seriously, my mom got pregnant right as she went into college and my parents got married right away!!! to this day, my grandfather does not know that my mom was pregnant before she got married. Joe’s parents are super old school, AND she saw it as her ticket to a better life, she saw Tre’s life and knew by marrying the brother it could happen.

I am wondering if he did actually have that money saved, remember he was planning to marry 2 times before Melissa came along…she probably just slipped right in to the life that he already started building w another woman(or plural)! Unlike Tre and Joe who were childhood sweethearts, the loves of each other’s lives…THAT is what I think Melissa is so damn jealous of Teresa about, that she is with the love of her life. Teresa is with her imperfect, hard-working, big lug of guy who doesn’t let anyone give her shit, who gets mad wit-her but still loves, who loves his daughters to no end…Juicy Joe is everything to Teresa that Melissa tried to say Joe is to her. Only Melissa and Joe did not have the same AUTHENTIC beginning that the Giudice’s have and for some reason, they have morphed this (in their sick Axis II minds) into Teresa’s fault!!!??????

Last night on here, someone said the cutest thing-I’ll take thirds of Joe Giudice!! I agree!!! He is just so REAL!! I love it! I love watching him and Tre fighting bc I have Italian friends like them!!! I think it is hilarious (as long as all parties agree that the name calling is in jest and meant to be endearing) but bc Melissa and Joe are so unauthentic, when they try to come across as THAT couple, it shows. Many ppl see right through it…

Remember when Juicy kicked the punching bag in the garage?
How about when he had “da runs” when he was supposed to be at the christening?
Any scene with him and his girls( zip it! ) is endearing
When he yells at Teresa and she starts squawking…love love love it!!

I did not think of that. Most guys do not have a house unless they are in a serious relationship and plan on having a family. We don’t know anything about the 2 engagements and why they broke off the relationships. That would suck if TB was engaged and TSIL left Bryan to hook up with TB.

well if TB had already been kicked out of college because of the incident, and Tre and Juicy were already helping him learn to flip houses, I could see he was doing that and asking TSIL to come be his secretary. TSIL left BD which was a guy she had hung on to for several years even though he never promised anything to her,, to be with TB.. sounds like rebound and spite at BD then being head over heels for TB.. ,

Yea, I hear what everybody is saying. It does not make sense that he would need to swindle his parents for their home while he has this huge (poorly prioritized) savings in the bank…maybe he had it and used it to woo her (as others said)? bc when did the thing w his parent’s house happen? His parents were in their home in the beginning (hence Teresa taking back her parent’s house keys from Melissa) but IDK, I just like to look at thing critically… and truthfully, these characters don’t make that easy bc they are so full of it!!!! 🙂

One good friend of mine is a definite bachelor. Very nice guy but just a little too difficult to deal with at times. He had a very nice house and finally about a year ago put in for some massive renovations (it’s now valued at about $2.8 mil). His mom had been gently prodding for years about him needing to get married already. She finally tossed in the towel. As she said “Well if I’m not going to be giving me grandchildren anytime soon to fuss over, I’ll just take over decorating his house for a hobby”…

Oh and my point actually was – there are single men and women out there that actually want a big house, whether for themselves to enjoy or because they might want a family. Just because someone is single doesn’t mean they aren’t entitled to live in the kind oh house they want to.

We’ve actually been questioned many times on why we have such a big house and no kids. As if the only people who “need” a big house are ones with kids. We don’t *need* a house this size but it’s something we had always wanted.

                • October 1, 2013 at 12:28 PM

Are you still enjoying living in a big home? I’m ready to downsize now that the kids are out of the house…I feel like I’m always cleaning. But, I’m not much on decorating and making things look pretty, so that might have something to do with it.

Lets see – he “saves” $200,000 for kids he doesn’t yet have, but then swindles his parents out of thier house so he can put the Autotuned Puta in a cardboard palace. Then again did his parents actually *own* the house at that point? If they had mortgaged it to the hilt to pay off the girl he raped in college maybe it wasn’t thiers for him to steal…

I used to have Dr. Lauras book and the title was something like t”he care and feeding of husbands” . I don’t see amy simularity title or content, except that Dr Laura does talk about showing deference to your spouses preferences. But only in that very narrow scope could there be any. common thread to the two books.

OT .. How many of you still had to make OB-Gyn appts for their 21 old daughters as they didn’t want to go? I gave her until 4pm today to make the appt, this is after 3 weeks of trying to encourage her to independent. Sigh I made it for her at 4:30 today for this Wed and Grannie is going with her to make sure she actually goes as I’m working. The 1st time I heard her say mommy, my heart melted. Now when she says muuummmmy, I cringe and say what do you want as it’s something she wants me to do for her.

    Thanks for letting me vent.

    • September 30, 2013 at 8:52 PM

22 here and my last appt was made by my momma and I almost cried when she couldn’t come. I was so scared!!! Every time I call her she says she cringes because she knows its because I want/need something lol

Rachel … thank you so much for that perspective. Sometimes I feel that I’m being over accommodating for/to her and or overprotective. It’s a fine line, as I’m trying really hard to give her space and then she pulls me back in to help. You helped me realize I should be glad she still pulls me back in.

        Thank you for that!

        • September 30, 2013 at 9:19 PM

my mom fears that too she always says it but she also says she fears the day that we won’t need her more than being overprotective. IDK if it’s because they were raised differently -my grandmother wasn’t very lovey, or accommodating- that my mother, as well as her sisters, have raised us (my cousins, sisters and I) like that. Truth is, I love having that relationship with my mom, knowing that she will be there to help me when I need it, just like I am here to help her at all times too. I know I will always need my momma, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. She is my best friend 🙂

          • September 30, 2013 at 9:51 PM

rachelfarfaraway – your mom speaks the truth – as our children grow up, the role of parenting and the relationship changes. For me, I become wistful at times, missing that feeling of being needed by your child. But, the upside – I look at my girls and am so proud of the confident and independent women they have grown up to be. I am so happy you have that relationship with your mom and you recognize that it really is a give and take of mutual love and respect of not only the mother/daughter dynamic but also who you both are as individuals. You and your mom are very lucky to have each other. 😀

            • September 30, 2013 at 10:29 PM

I get it Jeannie. I can’t wait to have a child of my own to know the feeling. Thank you so much for you beautiful words. I hate living so far away from mamma – 13 hours away – but we skype, text and talk all the time. I hope more than anything in the world that my mother is proud of me as you are with your daughters 🙂

          • September 30, 2013 at 11:09 PM

Rachel, my own mother wasn’t very lovely or accommodating either and maybe that is why I allowed my daughter to stay dependent on me longer than I probably should have. I kind of had the best of both worlds there for awhile…she moved out shortly after graduating high school but still depended on me for a lot of silly things so I didn’t have to go cold turkey, lol. I will say, it has been comforting to see both of my kids doing their own things, but they still want Momma’s opinion and advice sometimes too.

        • September 30, 2013 at 9:30 PM

My younger daughter had to visit a gynocologist for the first time at the tender age of 13. It traumatized her so much that when she had another medical issue when she was in college I had to fly clear across the country to accompany her to the doctor’s. She is okay going to other doctors, but the oby/gyn is another story – she still struggles.

mzujules – my older girl is now 37 and I rarely hear “muuummmmy” from her any more and, honestly, I miss it. So when I do, it warms my heart!

          • September 30, 2013 at 9:45 PM

Jeannie you are never too old to need mama or daddy for that matter. At 56 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My parents went to all my oncology appointments with me and took turns being my chemo buddy. When I started my radiation treatments sometimes they both came but usually my dad drove me because my mom is a terrible driver! But I couldn’t have done it without them

{{{{hobby}}}} I’m glad your parents were there for you. I’m sorry to hear that you feel abandoned and lonely. Talk to your kids, I know it’s hard but give them a clue. You were not wrong, you went with what was comfortable for you. Now consider letting others help you on your road to recovery.

Oh hobbyath – I think you mean by “they” your children and your weaker half? If that is the case, maybe you could sit them down all together and tell them exactly how you are feeling. Hopefully, they will really “hear” what you have to say and understand you need them tremendously. I also hope you have reached out to local organizations who do a tremendous amount of volunteer work to help out and support breast cancer survivors.

Very true becca – even when they leave us, we still need our parents. And while we think they aren’t there any more for support and to lean on, they really are – one just has to look for that support in a different way and it will be found.

Hugs to you becca for your courage.

I am 2 and a half years cancer free now and stronger every day. And my lovely parents, who are in their 80’s are as supportive as ever. And Hobby please don’t feel abandoned or lonely, we are all really friendly and supportive here I am finding out. And talk to your kids. Make them understand what you went through and how you feel. And I am sending you a big hug (((((HUG))))) It will all be ok

I made my own 1st Ob-Gyn appt when I was 19 because my parents were still living in Germany and I was having problems (I was in college in the States at the time). It was very scary, but necessary. I’m still here to talk about it.

      • October 1, 2013 at 2:39 PM

Murfs, My mother made my first ob appointment for me at age 16 because I was engaged and needed birth control. Thank God I went so young, cuz the found I had cervical cancer. It has came back 3 times now but it’s a fairly easy cancer to treat when found early.

    • September 30, 2013 at 9:10 PM

Oh Jules, they continue to “test” us and they always win. I swear when my daughter was in her teens and early 20’s, I told my friends that she could just suck the life right out of me. I understand exactly what you are feeling.

When my daughter and I spoke, on her 30th birthday, she exclaimed, “I am finally an adult”. I became an adult at 18 and at 21, I was given the full privileges of being an adult. When did the rules change?

      • suedechik79
        October 1, 2013 at 3:23 AM

The rules change when the elites give us the orders. We throw our kids into state institutions (public schools = mind prisons), extend their childhood by providing them even MORE “education” (college)….30 sounds about right to me. Id write just about anything off someone did before age 25 at least, especially if they went to college.

    • September 30, 2013 at 10:54 PM

Embarrassed to say…yep, I had to do that too. Mine used to not like to do ANYTHING over the phone. She would even beg me to make her hair appointment, had her roommate call and order pizza, crap like that. I think maybe the last appointment I made for her OB/GYN was when she was 20. She’s almost 23 now. I DID make a hair appointment for her just last week, but she was out of town and needed to get in the next day if possible so there was a valid reason for that. Kids…!

Ugh, Jules, what age did you take your daughter to gyno? I have a near 17 yr old, and had 3 surgeries by 23 for endometriosis. Can’t believe my baby is this old. But I wondered to get her in.

      • October 1, 2013 at 1:25 AM

Lara, the recommendation is between ages 13 and 15 for their first appointment (or when they become sexually active, whichever comes first) , just for education and discussion and to help them become more comfortable with the whole idea of it — a pelvic exam or pap smear is usually not done at this time unless it is warranted (issues, sexual activity). The first time I took my daughter in it was for a minor issue (age 15 I think) and I stayed with her during the exam (at her request) and then had the dr. and nurse practitioner have a private consultation with her after she got dressed just in case she felt like she couldn’t be forthcoming to him with me in there. From about age 14 on, I would also do this with her pediatrician. My kids and I have always had pretty open conversations about sex and sexuality but I didn’t want to hide my head in the sand either… Since mine needed a pelvic exam, they were very careful in how far they went with the exam and explained each step to her before they did it — she didn’t need the full pelvic exam, thankfully — but I was very impressed with how everything was handled.

I think that is a little young myself, unless there is an indication that it is needed, but I understand the thought behind it. Mine would have nothing to do with going on birth control and promised she would let me know when she was ready. And she did. And make an appoint to go. I now have to go alone and I can’t tell you how much I miss our mother daughter appointments. I also get the crying phone calls when there is a love life problem or a work problem or an out of sorts day where the kid just needs her mom. To tell you the truth, I cherish those calls. You know, I think that bothers me more than the actual material. I’m a nerd who is distressed about the current state of the English language as it is. Her typos and errors just infuriate me. The fact that she was published when so many talented, intelligent people never make it out of the slush pile indicates a sad state of affairs for this country. Melissa just sucks on every level! Ok, rant over.

I completely agree (but the material bugs the heck out of me too). I have typos left and right on blogs, but it’s a blog. There are so many talented people out there trying to get published both in recording and writing and she churns out her shit? It’s a disgrace and shows it’s all about the dollar and Bravo paid for this book to get published.

I am happy to find people passionate about the English language. All this: u 2, 4 u, etc. infuriates me

                • October 1, 2013 at 2:03 AM

Social media will be the death of the English language.

                • October 1, 2013 at 2:41 AM

I’ve been reading since I was 3 and I was an English major. I am still a heavy reader and whenever I find typos in books, I sigh heavily. As mzjulesaz said, blogs are one thing. Like texts or quick emails, not a big deal to find errors. However, newspaper articles, books, things that should have meaning, I feel like people just don’t treat them with respect anymore. So on top of that, not fact checking your own frigging family just adds another level of disgust for Melissa to me.

I don’t believe she’s a brainwashed victim which is why the material means less to me. I think she’s just using the book to eventually get out of her marriage. Anyone who buys it would have to be lacking some brain cells so that’s on them. The rest of us know to ignore everything she wrote and certainly not to take it as advice.

Celi, your posts are just fine. I do not worry about grammar here. Do not take time out of your busy life to worry about these things! We are always typing too fast to worry punctuation and spelling! I do not even check name spelling.

Hi Ms. Celi!! I think they are talking about professional articles and such. Like when people are PAID to write and edit…not things such as blogs, texts, emails, etc. You’re just fine the way you are!!!

I haven’t been in communication on here much lately…how are you?

It looks fabulous! There are casual situations where typos just aren’t that big a deal. For someone who allegedly trained to be a teacher like Melissa, the standards are just a little higher. It’s like letter writing. All the things I’ve learned about writing letters has gone out the window which is fine as long as people stick to a format and proofread. It depresses me when I receive something that’s supposed to be official and there’s a mistake.

If there are no standards maintained then at the rate we’re going, everyone’s going to be typing and writing things like “C u on Wed. Lol. Ur funnee!” all the time. I know adults who went to college who can’t tell the difference between “have” and “of”. As in “I should of known”. So don’t worry, I’m not criticizing anyone here. Just super irritated that Melissa got a book deal.

celi – one of the many great things about commenting on FW – we don’t have to worry about dotting our “i”s and crossing our “t”s. We don’t have to worry about spelling mistakes and typos unlike other blogs. So don’t worry about it – just keep expressing yourself the way you do. All’s good!!!

Doesn’t anyone else remember Teresa saying she named Gia for her father? I do. Very early in the show she talked about how they named the girls,Gia for her father, Gabriella was after a grandmother I think,Milania for the city of Milan(they were there early in pregnancy) and Audriana because Tre loves the sound created by the AU in itlaian language,or that’s what was said.

First off….how the hell did she get a book deal? Secondly, I think she meant to say she got pregnant right away so she had a “hold” on him and his money. Also, I thought Kathy, Rosie, Teresa, and Joe all said they grew up together until their parents had a falling out when they were teenagers. But yet in Meho’s fictional fire starter, he didn’t have any cousins to play with? Can she please just go away!

I have read several of TBB’s articles and always found them totally biased towards production. My 2 and a half cents. I actually read way to much on twitter and best I can surmise is these people spin and spin and spin. So much so I have a loose theory that Bravo actually runs or has interns who tweet from accounts. Some are almost as bad as the editing. I know I need a real hobby. And so many completely and totally contradict themselves. And I don’t mean only TBB. I mean random accounts of “individuals” and “bloggers” and etc. Twitter is actually more entertaining than the shows and that is the truth.

Hi if you didn’t read my comments on the last story I’m a Dominatrix and was asked to comment on Melissa’s book. I thought I’d post here as well as there as it is probably more relevant here:

The Gorgas book absolutely does advocate marital rape, and although they are back-tracking and saying it’s about role-play, if it was about role-play then they would have specified that. Even if they did mean to talk about role-play anyone reading the book who hasn’t seen their back-tracking interviews will take it as it is written: that it’s ok to rape your wife. And considering how much of a misogynist Joey is I believe he really thinks that raping your wife is ok. The book is disgusting in so many ways.

Anyone who is into domination or bondage or role-play knows that it is so important for it to be discussed first so you can work out what each other’s limits are, and so that you can agree upon a safe-word in case you get uncomfortable or it’s too much and you want to stop-for instance if one of my clients has reached their tolerance for pain, or is getting claustrophobic etc etc, they can say their safe-word-for instance ‘red’ and I will immediately stop. Anyone recommending trying roleplay or domination etc is very very remiss and irresponsible if they do not discuss limits and safe-words at the same time.

Domination is about giving up control of your body to another person AT YOUR OWN REQUEST AND NEVER AGAINST YOUR WILL, it can be very rewarding especially for people who are usually very in control in their lives, and is a great stress reliever. However really the person being dominated is always in control underneath it all (or you could put it that- they can take back control any time they want as at any time they can use their safe-word.

Anyone who is interested in this subject btw is very welcome to ask more questions.

Role-playing, bondage, fetishes and domination can all be about sex and fun in the bedroom. However often there is no sex involved in domination especially the harder forms like humiliation and punishment (whips and chains etc), domination is about power and control at the core of it and some people feel the need to give up that control to another person to truly be free. But DOMINATION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RAPE. The people who like to dominate other people in a sexual way or a controlling way generally do not wish to hurt or upset the person in any way unless that is what the person who they are dominating wants, and if they do want to so something against the submissive’s will they have serious problems. People who like to dominate like to do it to people who enjoy being submissive and as most people, unlike the Gorgas, have a moral compass they will always stop if they hear the safe-word.

ANYONE DOMINATING AGAINST THE OTHER PERSON’S WILL IS AN ABUSER whether it be physically, sexually, or mentally. And I believe Joey to be an abuser.

I appreciate your taking the time to share this with us. You have a great story, heck, I’d love to read your book!

    • GPM
      October 1, 2013 at 1:51 AM

Thank you so much for that really thoughtful and comprehensive response, Heather!

36 years ago I was “date raped” (although there was no name for it then) and to this day I have only told two people — my husband (we married the following year) and an acquaintance I told 9 years ago because she was in a position to protect young girls. 27 years after the event, the depth of emotion I felt when I told her shocked me. I was a virgin when I was raped.

This event occurred at the vanguard of the Women’s Movement in the U.S. when — to keep things simple and unambiguous, so there could be no misunderstanding — the first “no means no” campaign took root and I cannot tell you how angry and sad I am that TB and TSIL are undermining this simple principle that can protect both parties, provided there is no intention to rape.

It blows my mind that there could still be men like Joe Gorga in the U.S. or, more tragically, women like Melissa Gorga. All one has to do is look at the issue of rape around the world today — the young Saudi Arabian woman who was gang raped and then flogged 200 times as “punishment” or the plight of young women in India, one of whom is raped every 22 minutes by one commentators reckoning, and South Africa, which has the highest reported incident of rape in the world — to see how tenuous our hold on the safety of our bodies truly is. We have politicians like Rep. Tom Akin of Missouri who just last year made the ludicrous statement that, “If it’s a legitimate rape the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing [referring to conception] down.” And let’s not forget Rep. Tom Smith of Pennsylvania, who said he could understand the struggle of women who get pregnant from rape because his daughter got pregnant without getting married first.

I ***grieve*** for the young man or woman who reads this book. I suppose there are many advice books on the market that aren’t worth either the paper they’re printed on or the broadband signal that delivers them, but I would truly hate to see a young woman hurt and a young man’s life ruined because he listened to the Gorgas!

You have my support and I’m sure you have the support of everyone in the Fame-ily. x x x

      • October 1, 2013 at 8:09 PM

GPM, I have a feeling that is exactly what Joey did when his parents bailed him out. He most likely was on a date when the girl refused to have sex with him so he took it anyway. Date rape is no different from stalking a women while she is jogging (just an example) and jumping out of the bushes and raping her. Sorry you had to go through such a terrible ordeal.

        • Lady Heather
          October 2, 2013 at 10:45 AM

Thank you Gloria and you are 100% right. When a girl says no it means no, and raping your wife is just the same as raping a stranger.

Role-play is something that is agreed upon by both parties and although you may say no during it but that would ONLY be ok if you have both discussed this as a shared fantasy, agreed to try it, and have an alternative safe-word (something you can say instead of no if you want to stop) agreed upon in your previous discussions and, though I believe that the Gorgas aren’t discussing role-play they are discussing marital rape in that disgusting book. If they are trying to recommend role-play to their readers (especially considering their intended demographic-young and, in the cases of many, inexperienced women) in what they say is an advice book they are unbelievably remiss not discussing how to make role-play safe:discussing limits and that there must always be a safe-word and most importantly both parties must be willing to take part in a shared fantasy which then will be mutually gratifying.

He sounds like an out of control, roided up Leo that has the potential to be a very nice guy (and for some reason, hes chosen to bury that part of him). Shes used to the abuse, she attracts it and asks for it. Both parties in an abusive relationship are responsible for the abuse, whether giving it or receiving it.

      October 1, 2013 at 5:49 AM

Thank you. My fiance and I engage in BDSM on a regular basis and we both get incredibly frustrated, angry and annoyed by false and dangerous representations of BDSM play like in that 50 Shades of Crap book which is basically a story about an abusive relationship, crime shows that often tie this lifestyle into criminal acts, and now these two idiots with their backtracking on what is a clear description, argument and excuse for marital rape in Gorgon’s book. They should be getting nailed to the wall in every promotional interview instead of being allowed to make light of something that still happens every day in this country and around the world.

Joe Gorga is a prime example of what a misogynist acts like which is why I have detested him from day one. That moment when he went to the book signing and made Teresa read out loud her inscription as she cried and he with a smug look of satisfaction watched her instead of comforting her sticks in my mind. It made my blood boil. He gets off on seeing women in submissive positions where they’re completely out of control and under his whether through verbal and/or physical abuse. Despite all the crap that’s going on in the Giudice’s lives right now, I just know that part of his hatred for Teresa (because it can’t possibly be anything but) is his watching her be in control of a budding empire where she is successful, capable and her own boss (and clearly supported by her husband who he, no doubt, doesn’t believe is a “real man”.) She obviously isn’t behaving like a proper woman which is why she doesn’t deserve proper respect but does any woman in his life really? Are we to believe that the way he treats his wife and the way he treats his sister are in anyway respectful to his mother? He’s a monstrous pig!

      • October 1, 2013 at 7:02 AM

I think on some level subbies always know they are in control and only experiencing a surrogate of powerlessness. The healthy ones at least. Just like good doms understand that the only person they are truly controlling is themselves. And that control should be total. As a switch, I have experience with both sides. Boundaries and consent are SUCH a huuuuge deal in the lifestyle, anyone who has ever been involved in it would know that. Trust needs to be absolute. No one should ever play dominance games with someone who has issues with controlling their temper/is subject to violent, explosive outbursts like Joe Gorga; that sounds like a great way to get killed. There’s a difference between a dom and a sexual sadist. At any rate Melissa’s transparent attempt to recast Joe’s comments as personal stories about their private kinks doesn’t work. He wasn’t recounting their personal experiences he was making blanket statements about all women and advising other men to ignore feminine rejection and force sex on their partner in the face of outright refusal. Rape. It pisses me off when ignorant tourists try to associate sick, abusive shit they have done or tolerated/rationalized in a relationship with D&S/BDSM.

We watched Once Upon a Time also. Since Henry is Rumple’s grandson, something magical Peter Pan needs him to do I think, like the stick that worked for Rumple’s son. I am wondering how Captain Hook survived so long, unless he is working for Peter Pan also.

Omg. I feel so dumb for not making the connection between Henry and blood magic. I thought Peter was just going to cut his heart out.

    • October 1, 2013 at 9:37 AM

ONCE UPON A TIME – Finally got to watch it and kay’s comment got me to thinking. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. While “Neal/Baelfire”, the adult, wound up in the Enchanted Forest, didn’t Baelfire the boy get taken from Wendy’s window and brought to Neverland? If so, wouldn’t that make it possible for him to meet up with Henry?

Also, yes, I believe kay is right – Peter wants Henry because of his blood connection with Rumple. Obviously, Rumple and Peter have had some kind of interaction and for Mr.Gold/Rumple/Dark One to say on the ship that all of them should be very afraid of Peter speaks volumes that whatever Peter is capable of, it must be far more sinister. When Peter’s “boy” handed him that rag doll, Rumple crumbled. Wonder if he, at one time, was a lost boy and escaped? Or if that rag doll was Baelfire’s???

By the way, how Italian is she? What is her claim? Neither one of them was born in Italy. Joe became Americanized – entitled, deserves better, brat. …ugh can not stand them both.

Melissa does not look Italian. Her mother, slight but not fully. Her father looks Puerto Rican but the type that is mixed with African. Look at her kids hair and complexion especially Antonia. The fact that she plays herself off to be this full Italian with “traditional-Italian family values” is a joke.

      • October 1, 2013 at 2:52 PM

She said it herself that people used to say she looked like the Mowry twins from “Sister, Sister”. I’m black and Melissa’s hair, pre-relaxer looks much thicker and curlier than typical Italian curly hair. It looks kinky. She’s also definitely had a nose job, I don’t care what she says about makeup contouring. She looks just like her dad so I agree with ILovePretzels. I think there’s black blood on her dad’s side whether he’s Italian or Hispanic. Some of it definitely went to Antonia.

        • October 1, 2013 at 5:09 PM

She is on her second nose job.

Terese in her teen age pictures and Katfish too had the same kind of hair as Antonia. Very curly. I don’t know if they had perms to get that look.

As a puerto rican i’m offended that you would consider Melissa one. Not for nothing but Sicily is borderline Africa. Beyond that, Puerto Ricans run the spectrum of colors from blonde and blue eyed to dark skinned. We’re a beautiful mix breed that only associate ourselves as Puerto rican and not by a color, tone or look. I wish people would stop being so ethnically ignorant.

Hey di – I’m with you! You are 1000000% right!

I have posted a gazillion times on this topic, trying to explain that appearance does not necessarily make someone a certain ethnicity and genetics are complicated. So tired of going over and over this topic at great length and detail explaining it all.. Geez!! One more time, my three grandsons born to the same parents look nothing alike – one is so Italian and the other so Irish and the other is a complete mix. That is just one of so many examples and proof I have given every time this topic comes up.

I have no doubt Meilssa is of Italian heritage but she does not really seem to follow much the old Italian traditions which are handed down generation to generation.

          • October 1, 2013 at 8:27 PM

Yes Jeannie, I have witnessed you trying to explain ethnicity and genetics several times on here. Especially when someone brings up little Joey not looking like his father. Genetics can be very tricky. I have 5 siblings, all from the same parents, and none of us look alike, same thing with my two boys. I have been asked numerous times if they are full blood brothers.

The idiocy of these excer[ts makes our other discussion about whether this chick has a nefarious to utilize the “joements” in her future, inevitable divorce moot imo.

Melissa Gorga really is just an idiot.

(Not to mention the publisher of this mess. St Martin Press, right?)

I guess the publishing world continues not to employ fact checkers for even the simplest things that could easily be found in a basic Google search. I’m going to go ahead and blame Twilight and all the crappy writing it inspired even though it’s completely unrelated. I just think Melissa Whorga is about as talented a writer as Stephanie Meyer. 50 Shades of Gorgon Crap indeed.

    October 1, 2013 at 7:04 AM

seeing this broad in a real light I think she wrote the book herself so she could later throw it in T’s face that she doesn’t use a ghostwriter but she should have..cause this book sounds like a bust and the butt of jokes.

  29. October 1, 2013 at 7:27 AM

Melissa Gorga lies about everything, she posted on her face book that the the book was #3 in marriage and #4 in love and romance, when it was actually #41 and #30. Remember the iTunes? I never saw her on the charts at all, but she said she was in the top 10, I believe. The worse part is the blogs and tabloids report her statements as fact. Just like Wendy Williams stating on national TV that JTG said terrible things about a child. I don’t know how I feel about the
Greeks, but I do follow his tweets and have never seen him attack a child. It is so irresponsible.

Teresa: “I Wouldn’t Wish This Situation on Anyone.”
      Teresa Giudice

Teresa opens up about the finale and the interview with Andy.
Posted by Teresa Giudice – 18 hours ago

      Hello Sweethearts!

I can’t believe another season is over. And I can’t believe it ended like the last two did: with everyone trying to blame me and make me apologize. I’ve apologized more times than I can count, but if that’s what my brother needs, I’ll keep apologizing until my tongue falls out. I’ve never tried to hurt him or Melissa. I only care about my family. Hopefully we’ve wiped the slate clean and can start over from here now. Since my family is in the public eye, we’ve got to be strong, we’ve got to support each other, and we’ve got to stand united. I never want to go back to that dark place with my family again.

I’m not going to talk too much about Penny and Johnny because I don’t have anything much to say about them. I’ve met them a few times, I knew she wanted to be on the show, and I stayed as far away as I could from whatever rumors she had or didn’t have on Melissa. It’s a small town though, I guess I didn’t stay far enough away! How did she have my phone number? I have no idea, but most people around her do have it. It’s easy to get. I’m not a super secretive person. I give it out to everyone. To me, that’s no big deal. If we were really working together, she would have texts from me and photos of hanging out at my house with me and my kids — like all my other friends do. I’m not buying that she deletes all her texts but saves all her Twitters, but whatever. It is what it is. I can’t do anything to stop strangers from coming after me and my family. The only thing I can do is protect my family the best I can. And if that means getting up and walking away, taking the blame, or apologizing, then I’ll do it.

My amazing hairdressers did want me to point out that I’ve never had my hair done by Penny or at her salon. Melissa knows that too, I have no idea why she screamed that. She likes the drama. I went with Kim D. to have my makeup done at Penny’s place last season, but that was it. I love the people who do my hair — thank you Edyta and thank you David at Hair by David in Kearney, NJ. He’s the official hair stylist for Youthful 8 Milania Hair Care and he carries it in his salon of course! And when I do it myself, the Youthful 8 Milania Collection helps keep my locks looking luscious! (End hair commercial here.)

It was great to have everyone at my shore house. I loved seeing the kids together especially. It kind of felt like old times hanging out with Caroline and Jacqueline again. We’ve all been through a lot these last five years. Our friendships have had ups and downs just like everyone else’s. Hopefully things will stay looking up!

Joe did a great job rebuilding our shore house. I especially love the back deck since that’s where we do all of our entertaining. And yes, we grill every day! Did you see the new bottle for Fabellini? Do you like it?

The Watch What Happens Live interview with Andy was intense. I think he was very respectful and did a great job. Hopefully we answered enough questions, but it is aggravating to not be able to speak freely about everything. When this is all over, we will! As Joe said, we pleaded not guilty for a reason. Thank you all so much for your support and for withholding judgment until the trial is over.

I’m not in denial about it, I know it’s serious and terrible, and I wouldn’t wish this situation on anyone. If you’ve ever been in any kind of legal situation, even a divorce, you know it can suck your soul dry faster than almost anything else. It’s not a pretty process. But I choose to stay positive. I really believe that being positive and being happy is a choice. It would be easy to stay in bed and cry all day. It’s hard to keep moving forward, keep working, and keep your head up, but that’s what strong women do. Especially being a mom, I can’t fall apart. I have four little girls looking at me to see how to handle bad times. I want to set a good example for them because life involves bad times. You have to know how to cope and not to crumble. And I trust in God. I trust that no matter what, we’ll be OK. Worrying isn’t going to do one thing to help us.

Thankfully, I have a wonderful support system including my amazing husband, my wonderful parents, and all my other family and friends. And all of YOU! You all lift me up, keep my laughing, and help me keep putting one foot in front of the other. I wish I could give you all a big hug. Thank you so much!

      Tanti Baci,
      Teresa xx

      • October 1, 2013 at 10:13 AM

When I post the castmemebers’ blogs I usually do not include their advertisements at the bottom of them. This one is at the bottom of Teresa’s:

“And Tweet me your thoughts on the new Fabellini bottle @Teresa_Giudice. It will be everywhere nationwide at the end of October!”

THIS would explain why the labels to Fabellini were not shown while filming. Teresa has been in the middle of changing the distributor to a company in Italy and also in the process of changing the label. Any Fabellini used while filming would have the old labeling on it.

LADY HEATHER – a big, warm welcome to you and I look forward to your very interesting life stories as well as your opinions/commments on whatever topic being discussed once we all move forward and climb out of the cesspool that is anything connected with RHONJ.

If you people buy this garbage you`ve been huffing Milania Hair Care products with an ether type effectiveness. Lady Heather I completely judge you for using disability as a freakin punchline. I`ve commented a few times mostly in response to some of the filth you people pass off as “honest and non judgmental” assessments of this show. Fame. I`m very grateful for this site because it affirmed my reservation that these shows are just poorly acted warts on the medium of television`s chocolate starfish. Back in my day, Buster Keaton`s brand of comedy really turned the industry on it`s ear. I digress. Let`s hope for jail, mob hits, business failures, divorces, poisoned cannoli`s, and more sick children so you can feel better about yourselves. Wretched slugs. Love the site Fame, thank you for your hard work. I wish you and all the commenters a swell day.

                October 3, 2013 at 8:07 AM

Thanks Bree, that was what I intended to do. I just wanted to let people know a little about me and my background so they can understand where I’m coming from and make a more informed choice as to how they want to view my opinions. I think if I had come straight on here just saying “I’m a dominatrix.” without some back story of my life then I might not be taken seriously, but maybe all that’s happened in my life that I’ve shared here seems far fetched or something. I am really not joking about my disabilities and health or any aspect of my life though. I would not joke about anyones disabilities as I know from experience it is not a funny thing. And the very fact that I asked if it was ok to share here considering my past has been somewhat colourful, if I was just joking or making up a story why would I care?

Anyway all but one person here have been very kind to me as have you Bree and I will end my rant here and take comfort in that fact.

I think the heart of caroline’s show is going to be about pet rescue. This may attract many people but it will be hard to seperate enjoying the love for animals and the negative family dynamic of the Manzos. I do not think this will rescue Caroline’s image. She is a Virgo and caring for animals is most likely her best feature. When I first started watching RHONJ, I told my daughter, I could see myself spending Christmas at Caroline’s house. Wow. She went from being my favorite housewife to being someone I loath.

    • RahRah
      October 1, 2013 at 1:05 PM

but it is her sister that is into the pet rescuing…she is going capitalize off of her sister’s passion?

        — Plus, the pilot will include Caroline’s sister, kooky Aunt Fran, who we met earlier this season on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” She continues to bring in an assortment of barnyard buddies to the house.

The show’s logline reads: “It’s one crowded house filled with personality, laughter and ham… in both pig and honey-baked forms.”

Oh God – her neighbors will love that if her house is the focal point for filming. The cul-de-sac she is on is small enough without all the nonsense associated with a heavy production schedule. Most towns around here have pretty restrictive ordinances to prevent ongoing production.

              October 1, 2013 at 7:54 PM

Good thing TSIL is living in the neighborhood now. She needs more ways to deal with those pesky emergencies when TB is home. One morning Caroline will have a neighbor knocking on her door. “Your horse pooped in my front lawn last night.” Caroline will say “We don’t have a horse”

            • October 1, 2013 at 8:38 PM

Wouldn’t there also be ordinances in place concerning the number of animals and type that are housed in a cul-de-sac in Franklin Lakes? We have them where I live and we are rural.

        • October 1, 2013 at 2:42 PM

What’s said for me is that I probably would have liked this show if she left and did it in S3. Now — no way as the ugliness of her and her kids has been shown.

animals peeing on the floor inside the house doesn’t interest me no matter how much an animal lover I am.. I have ” family guard dogs” and they don’t live their life in a kennel having someone always yelling at them to shut up.. mine live in the house with me, know the difference of threat no threat .. always bothers me about their GSD’s.. 20 years of GSD’s they are my heart dogs.. Guess being animal friendly is more a selling point for the Manzo, but don’t buy it for a second

This is random and Fame please feel free to delete if you need too as I am not sure of the rules. I was just reading another site and the comments and basically I am so sick of the disgusting and uneducated comments. One dum dum said it was Jac’s fault her child had autism due to alcohol. I know I sound like a victim but I am not, but wtf my brother has a form of autism and I dare anyone to say it was because my mother was drinking. Bring it! I put a comment up saying that just because you are T fan does not mean you don’t like others: quite frankly I do like the original cast and Rosie. I do not like how the newbies have caused the dissension amongst the originals. I did not like how everyone flipped on T at producers beck and call. But I like that Carolyn apologized followed by Jac. The others can suck it and their ARMY can too!
Thank you for allowing me my rant!

    • October 1, 2013 at 3:43 PM

I really don’t like people commenting on that type of stuff either. Bottom line is he was dx’d with autism by doctors. I don’t like how they are exploiting him on TV, e.g., giving him the BLK on Sunday’s episode was a bit much for me.

      • October 1, 2013 at 10:17 PM

Exactly. Children on the autism spectrum do NOT do well being surrounded by cameras and lights and other scrutiny. The fact that his parents are allowing their son to be filmed just so they can get sympathy and a storyline is what rubs people the wrong way. I didn’t see the ep on Sunday, but they gave him BLK? Nice. So that’s how they get around making an overt claim that BLK helps alleviate autistic behaviors. Disgrazia.

“Ship My Pants’ IS hilarious and I should apologize to Fame right here and now for thinking that she had started running ads! *red face* (Altho’ I wouldn’t have a prob if this blog did–love it here!) I should have known instantly it was related funny swipe @ Melissa’s book dangit!~

PS to jennacheryl….I liked Season 1 too and wasn’t necessarily a “Teresa Fan” until all the skewed editing/bullying. I’ve come to like her “style” (lol @ the thought!) basically how she handled the gang up. And although I’ve never liked Jaxie (thought she was two faced to not only Danielle but also to Dina) my eventual support of Teresa has nothing to do with my mixed feelings about Nick’s autism. I’m just not convinced that he has it when I consider how the Laurita’s put off medical treatment for 18 months due to “insurance coverage” and yes, her obvious substance abuse problems tied in with the evidence that they wanted to use BLK as autism treatment (snake oil) as a story line. I think it’s very possible that Nick may have some form of developmental issues that are not related to autism whatsoever and have posted about my 2 now adult neph’s autism/asperger journeys as well. I think it’s possible to question the diagnosis without it being an affront to truly GOOD people like you and your Mom.

yeah they would have to take out the trash!
i just couldn’t watch the crap anymore and I don’t, all I wanted to see was Teresa building her empire?
i admire what T has accomplished as a woman & mother and saddened for their legal predicament.
most of the chicks I know really want a juicy, the babies and to have successful accomplishments like T.
she won me over when she started working to change her family’s financial situation.
and i think real business people know some of the hard the decisions business people have to make.
you invest in something and it crashes or some bernie madoff makes off with your money or you lose a good job or you have the horrible experience of a catastrophic illness, anything can bring you down at anytime

I don’t even have the words to comment on that…..I continue to torture myself…..maybe she shipped her pants.

    • October 1, 2013 at 8:09 PM

How sad for Caroline to feel that way. I KNOW my husband has been faithful – never has been and never will be a matter to question or think about. For all of her bravado, there is a sad woman inside. She made a decision – a choice – just like with everything life hands us – and she now has to live with it.

Talk about seeing no light in one’s eyes? Caroline Manzo has absolutely none shining from hers. In fact, her eyes look sad, even when she is laughing.

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Kathy Wakile stopped by Bethenny Frankel’s talk show and talked all things Real Housewives. It all started when Teresa was filming her interview and on The Real Housewives on a past episode and the producers asked if Kathy Wakile’s Cannoli’s are edible. Teresa then parroted the producers leading question and responded that they are edible and saying she is impressed.

Bethenny asked Kathy about the incident and Kathy slammed Teresa for her response telling Bethenny, “She was asked about my Cannolis and said, ‘Oh, I guess they are edible.’ Well she knows damn well they are edible. I just think sour grapes. Women are supposed to support each other not bring each other down.”

That’s not all. Kathy revealed to Bethenny that she never had tension with her before she got on the show like she does.

Bethenny: How are you finding a balance with the fact that your entire family is on television and it turned out so differently. You probably thought it was a fun thing when you started and now you are in this web.
Kathy: Well that’s what is hard because you don’t know what’s going to come up and you don’t know what everybody else is thinking but at the end of the day my husband and I decided that we are going to do this. Our foundation has always been solid and what happens in our home and behind our doors when we close the door that is going to remain solid. Everything else, is secondary.
Bethenny: Did you have this kind of tension privately with your cousin Teresa before the show?
    Kathy: No.
Bethenny: The show really instigated? Do you think it’s the fame that does that? Competition?
Kathy: I think what happened was she misunderstood my reasoning for joining the show. I thought it was going to be a fun adventure. I got a point in my life where my children were grown, it was getting to be the empty nester type of thing, they didn’t need me as much so what am I doing? Then this opportunity came to me, what am I going to say no I am not going to do it because I might ruffle some feathers?
Bethenny: What do you think it was construed you were doing?
Kathy: That I was coming on there to attack her or to bring her down and that is just totally far from the truth. I tried to be her friend, be the cousin that I always was but that changed things. She thought I was coming on to hurt her.

Melissa has reported several times that she and Kathy have had tons of tension with Teresa before the show began so it’s nice to hear Kathy put the rumors to rest and not go along with Melissa. Thoughts on what Kathy had to say?

      October 1, 2013 at 6:43 PM

I think the main reason Kathy was signed for the show was to drive the drama in the direction production wants it to go. From the very beginning I noticed how awkward and unreal the scenes of her and Rich were. It seemed pretty obvious to me that they were told exactly what they had to discuss and they carried out their orders like cooperative little soldiers. They just lack the coyness and finesse that some of the others have when carrying out instructions. Then it appears when they saw that Teresa was to be the show’s whipping post, they jumped right on it in order to protect their jobs and the perks that come along with it. Production probably got stuck signing them as featured characters instead of putting them in the category of others like Kim D. or Jan. I think if it were not for Rosie they would have been dumped last year and if there is another season and they stay on it will be only because of Rosie. It seems they think being all Yes,Sir! How high, Sir? in sticking with the storyline will keep them on in an official capacity. That’s why she comes off the way she does in interviews. She hasn’t mastered the art of suggesting an answer without actually giving one the way Caroline and TSIL do by giving a vague answer with facial expressions.

The main issue with Cathy is that she is just average. She’s a wife and mother who likes to bake. She has a goofy husband and has raised a couple of kids. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I know dozens of people like her…the problem is that while I like them and appreciate what they do, I certainly would not be interested in watching a television program about them.

Kathy who? 🙂 She’s continuing on her quest to take Tre down (now of all time … puhleeze) by stating I don’t know why she had an issue coming on the show, we didn’t have any issues before the show.

      • October 1, 2013 at 8:14 PM

ITA – Those pictures that we have all seen of her and Melissa sitting together, at one of Teresa’s parties before they got on the show looking very irritated speak volumes of what Kathy’s reasons were to get on the show.

She and that creep husband of hers are just a waste of airtime. And their kids are not much better – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

  45. October 1, 2013 at 5:50 PM

    Okay so….
Why is Lil’ Joey’s last name Marco and not Gorga? I’m I the only person that caught that? Now I see why Kathy Lee Gifford questioned Melissa on the paternity of her kids.

    • October 1, 2013 at 6:07 PM

Nvm. I really need to start reading what Fame says first before glancing at the photos. Something’s not right about Melissa when it comes to Lil Joey. I know it’s a “touchy subject” but I’m sure Melissa is going to say that her father in laws name is a typo along with Joey’s middle name. Doesn’t make sense that Lil’ Joey’s middle name is Marco when that’s her maiden name. Did anyone notice earlier in the show when Melissa was telling her mom, sister Kim (I believe) and her aunt that she was going to make a book talking about her father and did anyone noticed when her sister rolled her eyes? She seemed bothered by Melissa talking about their father in her book. I’m not sure if the book talks about Melissa’s father but if so I wonder if half the things she said about him is a lie and how her sisters feel about it.

      • October 1, 2013 at 7:23 PM

I know a lot of people who use their last names as middle names for one of their kids. My son’s middle name is a last name — LOL, not my maiden name or anyone I even know, just liked the name (McCabe).

      • October 1, 2013 at 8:36 PM

all my children (as well as myself) have maiden names or grandmothers’ maiden names for middle names…. sorry!

        • Anonymous
          October 3, 2013 at 9:47 AM

I understand that I know many people that do that as well. So why didn’t she name her 2 older children Marco as well? Knowing that’s her maiden name it’s kind if odd that she named him after his father but has Marco is his middle name. Seems a bit off….”sorry!”.

      • October 1, 2013 at 9:36 PM

In some families, like mine, it’s a tradition to use the mom’s maiden name as a middle name, to keep the mother’s maiden name alive, I guess. I know quite a few people, from different cultures, whose middle names are based on that. My mother’s family also liked to reuse middle names. I’m one of the lucky few to escape having the most common two for the girls. God bless my parents for being original thinkers. On my dad’s side, we just found out that my cousin’s middle name was our great-grandmother’s middle name. People are weird. 🙂

    • elle
      October 1, 2013 at 6:11 PM

I think Marco is his middle name.

    • October 1, 2013 at 8:00 PM

The name “Marco” is not just used as a surname. It can also be used as a first name. My daughter went to school with a boy named Marco. TSIL and TB used it for Joey’s middle name.

      Italian Meaning:
The name Marco is an Italian baby name. In Italian the meaning of the name Marco is: Mars (Roman god of war), warring. Famous Bearer: Marco Polo (1254-1324), explorer from Venice.

OT- Sorry if this was already posted.
This was this person’s reply about the fiasco for Season 5 final. Someone was at there and describe on her blog what was going on.

    October 1, 2013 at 10:51 AM

Yes it is so sickening at what Bravo will do to create drama! Glad to know that you did not get hurt. I wonder if anyone did besides JTG. You talk about glass breaking and such. YIKES! Season 6 was a total disappointment on many levels. The only time I can actually say we enjoyed watching was anything with Milania and Juicy and Rosie.

While Caroline seemed to lose the hatred to save face, because of the hatred she and her kids spewed, I personally would not watch anything they put on TV now. If they had all gone to Teresa and apologized because the world knows that Teresa never did a thing to that family.

Jacqueline came across also as a nicer person who wanted to be friends with Teresa again, but sorry, she yelled out that crap about Juicy cheating with someone at his work. If that’s a disgusting lie she is a POS and if Tre did tell her that it was in confidence, and I personally would not speak to someone like that ever again.

Kathie is way to passive aggressive and that makes her look phony plus her husband needs some lessons in manners. So sucks too, because I will miss Rosie.

Sorry to say, but Melissa cannot sing and needs to work with a voice coach for a couple of years. I think it is sad that people encourage her and are not honest. I have been saying for two years, I have a niece who can sing and has been trained. You can google her, Lauren Cupples and I have a cousin who can sing and has not been trained at all, he can be googled also, Davide Durrell. So I know what I am talking about. When the voice coach was having her do the scales, my 6 year old granddaughter and I could do it better. If that is her dream, then do it right for herself not for Bravo. I have not bought her book and would not do so since I have been married for over 22 years, however, the reviews are not good.

I feel that Teresa has way too many legal issues to deal with at this time and most likely should pull away from this show for now. I also feel that she has too much class for the show and would be better off on her own.

LOL so yeh, I think they should just be done with RHONJ because no matter what people will always see it as some fake show where stupid producers try to ruin people’s lives. Dina was smart to leave.
