Why Should We Defend Teresa Giudice Against Attacks from Her Castmates?

Season 3 Episode 8

Jacqueline: “Teresa, she’s just starting to talk to her brother again and her sister-in-law and stuff. I’m gonna make sure they make up.”

Ashlee: “Is that your place though?”

Jacqueline: “They want that.”

Ashlee: “Why would you put yourself in the middle of a potentially bad situation?”

Jacqueline: “She asked me for help. She came to me and said, ‘Help me with this’.”

Ashlee: “You tend to care about people that could potentially backfire onto you. OK, you know what? Danielle. Danielle Staub, that’s all I’m saying.

Jacqueline: “So when my friend tries to talk to me about her brother, I’m supposed to say, ‘Don’t talk to me about your brother; you go deal with him’?”

Ashlee (exasperated): “OK, mom.”

Jacqueline: “I feel like they made a lot of progress with each other.”

Jacqueline’s father interjects:  “It’s up to them.”

Jacqueline: “If they want this to work, they’ll make it work.”

Jacqueline’s father: “You have to be careful what you say and how you say it.”

Jacqueline: “That’s what I’m saying.”

Jacqueline in her TTC:  “Ashlee’s trying to tell me to stay out of drama?! That’s a little hypocritical, compared to the drama she’s put Chris and I through in the past few years.”

Ashlee in her TTC:  “This is the thing about my mom: anywhere there’s drama she tries to put herself in it, no matter what it is. It’s like, come on — she was friends with Danielle for a reason.”

There is so much evidence that Melissa Gorga IS the destruction of RHONJ — and the Gorga family — and it has been that way since before season one even aired. Shall we look at it?

  • There was a blog (On Common Ground) that was discussing RHONJ prior to season one and it had an “anonymous” poster who claimed to be a close family member of Teresa’s and who was bashing her up and down. Another “anonymous” poster was talking about Teresa’s brother and more specifically about his wife and how beautiful she is, how young and successful they are, how big their house is, etc…and how if Teresa is anything like her brother then the show should be interesting. The comments were clearly Melissa. They were also posted minutes apart from each other.
  • She wrote the song “On Display” before anyone even knew who she was. It is a narcissist’s anthem about how she is constantly plagued by paparazzi and jealous haters who are trying to take her down. That might have made sense if she wrote it AFTER she were already successful. However, her music career STILL hasn’t taken off enough to be considered successful. And I repeat, she wrote it while she was filming season three…nobody knew who the hell she was. So the lyrics are basically her fantasizing about what she wants. Drama.

“Melissa co-wrote the song ‘On Display’ before her first season on RHONJ aired, when only those within her tiny circle knew her name. It’s reasonable to imagine that Melissa was stalking Teresa’s whole life since 2008, the year season 1 was filmed, and wrote the lyrics as if she were Teresa. She had all the poses, smiles and red carpet interviews practiced for years in front of the mirror. She could ‘feel the weight of the world pushing down on her’ before she was on air! Imagine that.” – Obvious Lee, April 20, 2012, Reality Tea

  • Her introduction to the show was the Christening episode. Her, her husband, her sisters and her brothers-in-law attacking Teresa. Verbally and physically.
  • There was the speculation that she had contacted Danielle behind Teresa’s back during season two to both feed her information about Teresa and to try and film with her. UNTIL she admitted it on camera and then it was no longer speculation, it was fact.
  • For two seasons, Melissa has claimed that prior to getting on the show, she and Teresa were not speaking or getting along. Teresa has maintained that they absolutely WERE speaking. A lot of fans have questioned why Melissa would go on the show if she and Teresa were in a bad place to begin with, why would she bring their problems onto national TV? There was a very interesting comment on Teresa’s Facebook page from July 2009. It was from Lisa Marco-Simpson (Melissa’s sister) and it said something about them all having hung out together at the Jersey shore that weekend at the Giudice’s shore house and on their boat having a great time. She also mentioned that people were approaching Teresa for autographs and photos. This was prior to Melissa being cast on RHONJ and also during the time that she would have been pregnant with baby Joey. We already know that she contacted Danielle while she was pregnant with Joey because she admitted it on the show (she blamed it on her pregnancy hormones).

Back on July 23, 2009, during the airing of RHONJ season 1, Lysa Simpson, Melissa’s sister, was gushing on Facebook about spending the weekend with Teresa and her kids at her shore house:

“Lysa Marco-Simpson spent the weekend with Teresa and the kids at her shore house! was so much fun with all the starstruck people asking for pictures at the beach. then we went to her house for spaghetti!” – Lysa Marco-Simpson, July 23, 2009 at 6:22 am, Facebook

Lisa’s Facebook comment on July 23, 2009 proves that the Gorgas and the Giudices were, in fact, getting along and definitely speaking prior to Melissa being cast. How could they have all been hanging out at the shore if they weren’t even speaking? Yet Melissa told Teresa (when she admitted to contacting Danielle) that at the time she hated her. She gave no reason for it though. If you look at what Melissa’s sister said (about fans approaching Teresa) and consider that Melissa was envious of Teresa’s fame and fortune from the show, it provides the perfect motivation for her to go behind Teresa’s back and contact Danielle. Everything makes perfect sense based on that one comment from Lisa. Melissa was insane with envy so she contacted Danielle (the timeline even makes sense), gave her information to use against Teresa (which we saw at the season two reunion), schemed to get herself cast on the show behind Teresa’s back, lied about it by saying that they weren’t speaking (which is why Teresa has always said that they were speaking, because they were) and the rest is what we have seen since Melissa’s introduction at the Christening.

Reunion 4

I honestly don’t understand how people believe a word that comes out of Melissa Gorga’s mouth. I never trusted her from the day she came on the show. She is a lying, manipulative snake, a textbook narcissist, and has no conscience. She loves herself so much that she believes everyone else loves her too and, therefore, will just fall under her spell. This is why she thinks none of her many skeletons will come out or that she can just lie about them. Because she thinks she can just charm people into falling in love with her the way she is in love with herself. And because she is so jealous of the success and attention that she witnessed Teresa getting, she is motivated by her need to prove everyone that SHE is the one who truly deserves the attention. That’s why she copies everything Teresa does – to show that SHE can do it better. The way she dresses, wears her hair, does her makeup (just look at old pictures of her for evidence of this), the way she dresses her kids, the people she uses (photographers, stylists, hairdressers, etc), the comments about whose house is bigger, who throws better parties, whose husband works harder… Everything is a competition to her because she has to show everyone that SHE is better than Teresa therefore SHE deserves the attention. She is so consumed by this that she lies about anything in order to convey the illusion that she is the better woman.

Why would anyone believe a damn word that comes out of her mouth?

RHONJ is the only reality TV show I watch faithfully since season one episode one so I am unfamiliar with how other reality TV shows and other networks operate. While I do think that all cast members should be held accountable for their actions, what I see with this show is both actions and words being edited beyond any semblance of recognition and skewed to manipulate storylines and viewer’s attitudes. Bravo does this to create a villain and justify a gang up situation. They did it in seasons one and two with Danielle Staub and in seasons three and four with Teresa Giudice. It’s to the point where the word “reality” goes out the window.

The level of production interference in Bravo’s programming makes these shows unreal – producers not just suggesting certain scenarios but digging people up out of the woodwork to create drama, befriending cast members, setting cast members up to take the fall for things they have not done, using “Frankenbiting” to put words in peoples mouths (Google it), showing scenes and whole episodes out of sequence in order to make things seems different than how they actually happened, etc.

These are things that cast members cannot possibly be aware of when they sign their contracts. They might know about it now but probably not when they signed the dotted line.

The problem with what they did with Teresa is that the contrived “Teresa as the villain” scenario was too obvious. They brought in two of her family members as main cast members, introduced them by showing an all-out brawl at what should have been a sacrosanct event, then slowly showed her two friends on the show turning against her and standing in solidarity with her family members. All while showing good editing for the other four cast members and bad editing for Teresa.

We see nothing but Teresa’s flaws – her kids misbehaving while Melissa’s kids are shown being perfect angels, Teresa’s husband saying less than admirable things while we see Rich Wakile doting on Kathy or Melissa and Joe being sexy and fun, Teresa flubbing her speech, etc. Bravo makes a point of highlighting every one of Teresa’s missteps while concealing those of the other four.

There are many MANY times where a lot of this makes no sense at all. Especially for viewers who read blogs or are on Twitter because we see how these women behave off camera, and it is not congruent to what Bravo wants us to think (meaning that Teresa is the bad guy and the others are victims).

There is a double standard being used by Bravo (and the Manzos, Lauritas, Gorgas and Wakiles) against the Giudices where Teresa’s behavior is under intense, constant scrutiny and is subject to harsh criticism by anyone who wants to be her judge and her juror while the rest of them are given a free pass every time. Much of the time, the cast can’t even produce a reason why they are attacking Teresa – they allude to things, they say they have heard things but they can’t say where, they claim to have “proof” but they never reveal it. In most instances, whatever it is that Teresa has done or is being accused of doing, is minor in comparison to the actions and behaviors of the other four. That’s why I agree that they ALL should be accountable for what they do. Yet they aren’t.

It is Bravo’s editing that allows them to get away with a lot of this bad behavior, Andy’s clear bias against Teresa that allows the gang mentality and the behaviors to be swept under the rug, and manipulation of viewers’ mindsets that has poisoned so many people against the Giudices unfairly.

It is the unfairness that makes me so “invested”, I suppose. I would never say that I care about these cast members lives more than they do or that I care about them more than my own life. But having watched since the beginning and seeing what has happened to Teresa both on and off camera, I am witnessing a fellow human being treated very unfairly from every direction, including her own friends and family. That does not sit well with me. I’d feel the same way if it were happening to someone I know.

And when a person is being treated that way, they deserve to have support from those who can see what is happening clearly. Lying, manipulation, hypocrisy, dishonesty, envy and greed do not deserve to prevail ever, especially when the truth is out there and someone works so hard to uphold it. Teresa has never changed since season one, her stories have never deviated, her values have remained unchanged, the details about who she is have remained constant. And there are viewers who can see this.

I don’t think that everything that comes out of Melissa/Jacqueline/Caroline’s mouths is automatically a lie simply because I do not like them. But if you look to the past and compare what they are saying now to things that they have said before, much of what they say ARE lies. Provable lies. Either they are lying now or they were lying before because of the amount of times they contradict themselves. All of them.

So taking that all into account, I think there is no way that these cast members can be fully prepared for everything that Bravo is going to subject them to when they sign on to be on TV. And surely, Bravo is protected completely by its contracts, which is why they get away with it. However, these people are not under contract to lie in interviews, on Twitter, on Facebook, or in the media.

Does anyone know when Melissa got her passport? If she obtained it in the last 15 years, it would have been after her arrest and the subsequent bench warrant issued in 1997. That means she would have had to lie on her passport application as she had an outstanding warrant. That is fraud and is a federal offense.

I couldn’t have said it better. This is a very well written article, Fame. I really identified with the paragraphs explaining why you are so invested in the show. I have never been able to explain why, I too, am so caught up with the RHONJ storyline; but I can now. Thank you. I don’t know how anyone with a heart can side with Melissa, or any of the other “ladies” on the show. If you’ve ever been bullied or mistreated by another person, you can clearly see how badly Teresa is being victimized. I think that is what’s wrong with a majority of Americans – lack of empathy. It’s incredibly sad, but programs such as RHONJ are furthering this “mean girl” mentality and contributing to the downfall of American society. I remember when people used to think before they spoke, actually cared how their words would impact another, but nowadays the golden rule seems to be nearly non-existent in this country. As I raise my children, I truly hope I can impart the importance of treating one another the way you want to be treated, regardless of ANY circumstance, TV shows included. I’ll stop my rant here. I was truly struck by this post, it says a lot about the current state of humanity within America.

One last thing, your intro, Ashlee telling Jac to mind her own business – there are no words! Truly the epitomie of what’s wrong with the Laurita family.

    • October 6, 2012 at 9:21 PM

dunnwrightpr, it is a great article but it wasn’t written by me… it was written by HairLikeCher. All I did was put together the intro of Ashlee telling her mom that she should mind her own business.

Fame, she did a good job of listing the how’s and whys of Melissa’s headset, textbook narcissist. Love that phrase! Theres a cute comic site
http://www.rhocomix.wordpress.com Funny comic strips. I hope it’s ok to post the link.

    • October 7, 2012 at 9:05 AM

dunnwrightpr, thanks so much! What you said about the lack of empathy is so true, I say that all the time. The world is in dire need of it. In general, people do not think before they speak and just go about their lives with a very narrow-minded viewpoint of how things will affect them and their own life rather than the people around them as well. There seems to be no regard for how our words and actions will impact those around us. We need to care for each other the way we care for ourselves, consider one another the same way we consider ourselves, think about how every one of our words and actions has a ripple effect in the world. It’s not difficult to pause for a moment and think about how another person might feel to be on the receiving end of whatever it is we are doing. That’s all empathy is – trying to feel the feelings of others. Imagine how much more beautiful the world would be if, instead of wishing harm on those we do not like, we wished love on them instead. Nothing good comes from wishing harm on others. In fact, we get back what we put out so we are doing ourselves no favors by doing such a thing. Teresa is truly the only one in this bunch who maintains a positive attitude no matter what is being done to her. At the reunion, even as she was having venom spewed at her by Melissa, she still told her that she loves her. In her blog last week, after she was attacked by Lauren, she still managed to show her support, more support than we’ve ever seen come from Caroline. That speaks volumes about Teresa’s character and values and how she holds her head high no matter what is being thrown at her. The woman is a class act.
Some people might say it’s silly or absurd to use RHONJ as an example of what is happening in the world in this regard. But it displays perfectly what can happen to a person when people do not stop and think before they act. Families are destroyed. So are friendships. A person’s character can be compromised. Their livelihood can be threatened. Children are negatively affected (that is UNACCEPTABLE) and may lash out.
What’s worse about RHONJ is that the lack of empathy is coupled with calculation. Not only do Teresa’s enemies NOT think about how their words and actions will affect her, they DO think about their behaviors will hurt her and amuse them. I can think of few things more despicable than that. So maybe the notion of using this show as an example isn’t so absurd after all.
Thank you so much for your awesome comment, I really loved it! xo

Thank you, HairLikeCher! I’m so sorry I missed your byline in my initial read – I was so engrossed in the post – I missed your name!! (thanks, Fame, for correcting me)

After reading your reply, I remembered a book I read in grad school, “Demorcacy in America,” written in the 1800’s by Alexis de Tocqueville. Tocqueville was a French citizen who came to America for 9 months in an attempt to figure out why America was so popular. He wrote that the neighborly spirit and true sense of community was what really defined America, and made it a place so many people wanted to live. Fast forward to 2012 and this neighborly spirit, which truly was the foundation for this country, is gone.

I feel rather silly comparing RHONJ to historical books and humanity in general, but the popularity of this show makes the comparison valid. People watch and like the show because they can relate to what is presented. I would much rather live next door to Teresa, and depend on someone like her for help in a time of need versus any other woman on this show. The fact she is hated by so many, in my opinion, speaks volumes about the state of humanity and empathy in our country. Your point about calculation in conjunction with a blantant lack of empathy is a very scary truth.

Sorry to get so deep, but your post and reply really made me think! I might have a new topic for academic research too 🙂

agreed i know to a lot of people say it’s just a silly tv show and it’s ridiculous to get into heated debates or arguments about but it is the hypocrisy that is my trigger and watching the NJ housewives this season there wasn’t a episode.. a scene with the other housewives that wasn’t filled with hypocrisy it was like Vicky from the OC had multiplied 4 times and i was forced to watched them all in every single episode of RHNJ this season.

Great synopsis of the show in it’s entirety. I agree 100%.

  4. October 6, 2012 at 7:26 PM

That was brilliantly stated and is exactly the way I feel. I am in shock that so many people can’t see what is SO obvious to me-Teresa is the ONLY person on the show to never have lied. Or said something in a talking head that the person she was talking about hadn’t already heard to their face. She didn’t make jokes at other’s expense, or share PRIVATE conversations. She has been a true friend and a loyal employee, and she knows that signing on that dotted line didn’t mean she had to sign her morals away. She still had control over her own actions and words, and even tho they can edit it to look a certain way, there’s no evidence of Teresa doing anything hateful. All I have to do to see hate is look on Jac’s twitter. Or Melissa’s. Or ANYBODY’s but TERESA’S! Teresa did magazine covers, but she talked about HERSELF. The others get covers to talk trash and gossip about TERESA. They should all get their nose out of Tre’s business, and instead, focus on their own.
I’m going to copy and past your post in an email to my cousin, who I still haven’t been able to convince about Teresa being a strong, likable woman! I bet she tells me she has changed her mind! LOL

      October 7, 2012 at 5:27 AM

Hey cammi (this is u can’t hide stupid). I feel the same way re people seeing the obvious. In giving it some thought, i considered the elements of rhetoric. Propaganda techniques have been used to varying degrees of success by the RHO franchise. But is being used too heavily and obviously on RHONJ.

If you ask someone to list what Teresa has done to generate so much animosity the list would be stuff THE OTHER LADIES said Teresa did. The wouldnt be anything on the list that we saw or heard or have proof that Teresa did. All of the so-called paper trail that never gets presented. Or talking head interviews w one of the ladies which is followed by a dialogue confirming the talking head interviews points. All tools of propaganda. Very interesting on an intellectual level, but hard to watch on a visceral level.

      • October 7, 2012 at 9:43 AM

Bigg hayah long nailsss! yes…propaganda is the prefect word for it! Jacqueline is the one most guilty of it and she is like a bad politician in that regard. To elaborate on what you said, when she claims that she has “proof” of things that Teresa has said or done (be it e-mails, texts, recorded conversations, information from mutual “friends”, etc) yet she fails to reveal it, I always know she is lying. It’s obvious, isn’t it? If she really did have proof she’d show it to vindicate herself and prove her points about Teresa, wouldn’t she? However, it baffles me that other viewers, particularly those who are anti-Teresa, do not see right through her. I don’t understand why they take Jacqueline’s word for it. They honestly believe that she is in possession of all this “proof” but is unwilling to reveal it? They do not question that?
Or how about what you said about the matching dialogues? It’s too obvious to not be contrived. Do viewers not realize that TH interviews are recorded AFTER the season is done filming therefore the commentaries can be manipulated not only by production but by the women themselves? I don’t want to toot my own horn (or our collective horns) but are we smarter than other viewers who don’t see this? Is that the reason why people blindly fall for Jacqueline/Caroline/Melissa/Kathy’s accusations? Because let me tell you, we – as in those of us who follow these blogs – are hot on the heels of those four and their obvious lies and contradictions. I actually find it insulting to my intelligence that those four think they can lie so much and that I will just believe them and not question it. Yet there ARE people who believe them and what’s worse is that Andy let’s them get away with it! So they think they are pulling a fast one on ALL of us! Not the case, ladies! There are a lot of viewers who are far smarter than you think we are and who are far smarter than YOU are and are not buying your bull shit.

Oh P.S. – to cammierari and u can’t hide stupid, this is Cara 😉 xo

First off, I just wanted to say I was Team Caroline from the very first season. Now, I did not not like Teresa, I just preferred Caroline more up until the last season. Truly disgusted!

I think this blog is fabulous and the time you invested in it is so BRILLIANT! I’m team Teresa!

Quick question: Do you remember a couple of episodes ago when Melissa was looking for an outfit to wear to meet a producer in New York. Do you remember her comment about how she wanted to look sexy for the producer?

Um yeah, last time I checked, she was married. She said she was trying to look sexy for another man herself. Like she was trying to seduce him or something. How in the hell is she going to act like she’s “hurt” when Teresa tells the lumpa that she heard that Melissa would leave her husband if a richer man came along! She said it herself! I smell bullllllllshiiiit.

    Great blog!!

    • October 6, 2012 at 9:23 PM

I thought the same thing when I saw that episode… wanting to look sexy for another man. She uses her sexuality to get what she wants.

      • October 7, 2012 at 12:26 PM

and she doesn’t wear wedding ring during this scene…

    • October 7, 2012 at 8:42 AM

Jehan, she did a similar thing in the Field Day episode with the super short shorts, remember? She said in her TH something like she knows she is hot or sexy and that other women’s husbands are going to look at her but they need to stay away. So inappropriate.

  6. plainviewsue
    October 6, 2012 at 7:54 PM

    Absolutely brilliant.

This is what drives me as well. The hypocrisy of the other ladies; the obvious slanting of the Bravo editors and producers, and especially how they completely changed the time line of the events surrounding the Poshe Fashion Show.

People that I know who have met Teresa at her events have all said the same thing. First she is absolutely stunning. Second she is real. She is very sweet. It is not an act.

Melissa should forget about “singing” and go into acting. She thinks she’s fooling us with her innocent as a lamb look. None of us are buying it.

Karma will kick Melissa in the butt. And I don’t think it will take too much longer.

Funny that Jaxass is saying Tre NEVER wanted to fix things with her family..hmmmm..I wish Miss Andy would have shown that clip after she said that at the reunion. Sad that Meho knows she has Tre by the “balls” because she knows Tre wont go at Meho because of her family, her niece and nephews and would not do anything to ruin any chance she may have to reconcile with her brother.

    • October 6, 2012 at 8:17 PM

I agree about her niece and nephews, but I really think at this point, she has written off her brother. He told her she was dead to him, so I think she has given up. If he’s going to take the word of Jacqueline over his own sister? I think that’s it for Tre regarding Joey.

      • October 7, 2012 at 10:43 AM

Joey has crossed the line from clueless dickhead, to evil, plotting, psycho. I have no doubt in my mind that the Gorgas are done with him, too. Listen, you give a second chance to your brother with a drug problem, who never pays you back, who is in and out of jail, but his utter betrayal of his sister and parents on national t.v ? I don’t even think a serial killer would do his parents and sister like that. Joey Gorga does not deserve redemption. He does not understand what family means. He wants to change his name to Marco. I think he should. He does not understand the meaning of love. He does not love his parents or sister, he loves himself. He loves his wife and kids because they are an extention of himself. Melissa saw him as a meal ticket, a mark, a sucker and nailed him in a matter of days to his new destiny as the Marco girls little bitch. And now he is stripping for guys at Six Flags. I hope Mr. Gorga doesn’t die over this.

So if Jac isn’t vindictive, if she is the dutiful housewife and friend wanting to put everything behind her and “move forward” (two words I never want to hear again), why is she illegally recording conversations? We’ve all been in scrapes but I’ve never once thought about recording someone. I could understand holding on to voice messages/emails/texts but going to the effort of recording someone sounds a bit planned to me,

I get the sense that Jacqueline was cat rodriguez goto girl for setups. Cat knows Jac has a weak moral compass as evidenced by Jac calling a blogger and selling out Dina and her charity because Jac was mad at dina. I get the sense that Jac likes sitting in the snake role, she seems to self satisfied in the finale at PFS this season (S4) doesn’t she?

Hmmm… doesn’t Andy Cohen realize how obvious it is that he loves seeing women destroy each other? He displays misogynist tendencies. Especially towards Teresa because of her husband’s gay slur. Andy is out to destroy both of them big time for that. Melissa’s keyhole reunion dress is exactly like Teresa’s feather keyhole dress, same designer, Pascucci, hmmm…

    • Kate
      October 7, 2012 at 9:37 AM

Oh yeah! I was wondering why Melissa’s reunion dress looked so familiar, I should have realized sooner it was the same style as Teresa’s dress from some of her talking heads this season. That’s hilarious that the designer is the same, I don’t know how Melissa could possibly think anyone is buying her “I don’t copy Teresa, it’s the other way around!” story unless Teresa has access to a time machine…

My impression is that the G&L community does not want to be judged/hated for how they live, for how they speak, for how they dress, etc., and does not want the name calling/bullying in regards to them. Yet Andy has allowed this exact treatment to go on with regards to Teresa because her husband used the “gay” comment. Hate is Hate…. the meaning doesn’t matter if you are straight or gay. If Andy (being part of the gay community) despises Teresa so much for this doesn’t he realize that by his treatment towards her he is doing exactly what he hates the most. My impression is that the G&L community is pressing for tolerance, acceptance & anti-bullying. Three qualities that Andy is lacking. But he feels it’s OK because “Teresa is a strong woman”. Little does Andy realize that for every step forward he is making in the G&L community he takes it 2 steps back with this hypocritical treatment towards another.

Side note – Aren’t the 2 main producers for the RH franchise gay also? You are very right about women being cast in a bad light on the HW franchise.

I would bet Melissa has resentment of Teresa connected to her standing in the Gorga family. With her narcissism, she probably thought she would be the celebrated young, beautiful, wife/princess in Teresa’s family. No matter what, T’s parents will put her before Melissa, and they should.

I wonder if Caroline likes that Joe and teresa aren’t talking to each other because of her current situation with Dina. Misery loves company.

My sentiments exactly! Well said Fame! It is wonderful that you can put into words everything I have been feeling. Ps What exactly did Danielle do to deserve the wrath of the Manzo’s? Beside having a “past”? I vividly remember the scene when Caroline and Danielle met to ” talk” and Caroline was beyond mean… She may have used her typical “garbage” comment…. I thought to myself, “Who the F are you to sit there and be judge, jury, and God to another human being.” And Teresa got caught up in the hate against Daniele as we all know….. Ummmm. The ‘ol table flipping incident…. But she has said, I believe, it was wrong of her to bash Danielle as she did because her friends were. Then of course, enter Melissa feeding Danielle ammunition to take down Teresa. But I’m getting off the subject….what did Danielle do that she deserved to be run of RHONJ?

    • October 6, 2012 at 9:27 PM

Meri, it is a great article but it wasn’t written by me… it was written by HairLikeCher. All I did was put together the intro of Ashlee telling her mom that she should mind her own business.

Good blog – I get SO frustrated that people refuse to budge in their belief is she devil incarnate.
I check in at the FB once in awhile and it’s there that I can feel the tension in my body build. I know it’s only a show, I know they’ve signed contracts essentially agreeing to be complicit in the storylines. That said, I don’t believe anyone signed up to be bullied. The lengths they are going to, to discredit Teresa in unbelievable. The lies in the tabloids and blogs as well as Twitter really upsets me – I would be soooooooo angry. I hope Karma comes for them all and I hope it’s sooner rather then later

With all of Melissa’s attempts to discredit Teresa while trying to build a name for herself, has surely paid off. She is now and will forever be known as ” Teresa’s Sister In-Law”…I have to LMAO because I know that has to infuriate her.

At the reunion Part l, Melissa referred to Teresa as “Miss Matriarch”? I found that puzzling as I know in Italian culture, Joe’s is the matriarch – jealousy rearing its head over Teresa’s place in the family or a slip of the tongue?? Hmmm!

Also, tomorrow night, it will be interesting to see the context of when she spits out “I’m the victim!” because in Melissa’s mind, this whole season was really about HER – the victim who needs support and sympathy from her evil sister-in-law. Besides this preview clip we’ve been shown, Melissa plays the victim role very well with the way she just sits there, exactly like she did at the Reunion Season 3 and pretty much lets everyone speak and yell on her behalf with her shaking her head in disapproval, tsk, tsking, making comments under her breath, or nodding in agreement with what is being said.

Melissa Marco has been practically glowing with all the sympathetic attention she has been receiving with media fawning all over her – I believe that will change shortly – sure, she will try and do damage control, and the fallout of tomorrow night’s Part 2 will probably overshadow the news that has been released about her warrant. But, the Pandora’s box is beginning to open – and we all remember what was in that box. . . . .

      October 7, 2012 at 9:48 AM

Exactly! “Guess who the victim is? ME!!!” She gave herself away in that one sentence. “I’m the victim” never sounds good coming out of anyone’s mouth, certainly not hers. She keeps up the little miss angel act pretty well most of the time, but there are definitely moments like that when her true nature starts to show through… She’s starting to feel safe in her current position with her fans and the network, and that will be her downfall.

All is very quiet around the Bravo pages for Reunin Eve. Both Melissa and Jac have failed to put up blogs….

    • October 6, 2012 at 9:36 PM

Those two always wait for the others to blog first. Then they conspire to blog lies about Teresa. Notice how the two ex-strippers are always backing each other up?

      • Jeannie5233
        October 6, 2012 at 9:45 PM

Jacqueline is probably waiting until after tomorrow night and then she will address both Part 1 and 2 – I think she did that one other time and, of course, it will be a 12 page blow by blow of everything Teresa did – Teresa is even responsible for Mitt Romney cutting funding for BiG BIRD! And Melissa, well she will probably wait now too apologizing because she had a death in the family and she was in mourning doing retail therapy at POSH (not Kim D.’s) They better check their inventory.

        • Kate
          October 7, 2012 at 9:50 AM

No, I think Jacqueline probably loves Mitt… we’ve seen how partial she is to shameless liars! 😛

      • October 6, 2012 at 10:29 PM

It’s part of their job so I see it as a F-you to Andy and an F-you to viewers, without whom they wouldn’t be in this position. If she’s in mourning, why go on VH1, home of Bravo’s competition? If she pulls the obligation card, wouldn’t you think her first obligation would be to the people who employ her? Jac can obviously get away with murder on Bravo, this is the second blog she’s missed and let’s not forget the no show (regardless of Bravo not wanting her there) but Teresa’s ask for a gentle hand with “the phone call” is refused. Jeez blatant much?

          October 7, 2012 at 10:49 AM

Ugh I for one and tired of the target on the Giudice’s backs. Sackem your comment regarding Teresa asking about the phone call reminded me of information that I ran across regarding Bravo’s treatment of DeShawn Snow(RHOA season 1) which was completely opposite of how they are handling Teresa.
I only bring this up because Teresa was compared to DeShawn (both sweet, maybe alittle dingy, both like to spend money, etc.) at that time.
Anyway I digress, I cannot remember when or where I read that DeShawn was treated very poorly by her then (now ex) husband, Eric Snow. In fact, rumor alleges that DeShawn was not asked to return after Season 1 because producers were not able to use film due to Eric being verbally abusive to DeShawn and some allege there were hints of physical abuse.
I went looking on the blogs as to why she was not returning because I liked her and knew others were fans and didn’t really believe the official reason that she was too boring.
It was later big news that Eric had been having an affair, his mistress was pregnant so they eventually divorced.
MY POINT(yes I have one): Producers have been publicly painting Joe Gui. as a cheater and verbal abuser as have fellow castmates. Fellow castmates have been alleging abuse, verbal and potentially physical. IF this is true, why were the Guidices not allowed to remain on the series for 4 seasons??
Apparently DeShawn was let go because Bravo feared liability, wouldn’t Bravo fear liability in the Guidice family if the allegations are true??
          Does not make sense!

          • CleverID
            October 7, 2012 at 10:51 AM

Oops, meant why were the Guidice’s allowed( instead of “not allowed”) to remain on the series for 4 season?

      • October 7, 2012 at 10:51 AM

They are in this together. They want to annihilate Teresa. Jacqueline because she is a clinically insane, pill-popping, jealous mess from glitter Gultch, and Melissa because she is ghetto trash who hooked up with Joey, popped out some (lovely) kids so he won’t leave her,
whore. Quite frankly. The thing is. Teresa knows the truth about the both of them. and now that Jacqueline has announced her son is autistic, she knows Teresa would be crucified if she outed the very crazy Jacqueline for who she truly is.

          October 7, 2012 at 11:44 AM

From what I’ve heard, at the Reunion they all ganged up on Teresa when she started to question Jacqueline – because, after all, her son is autistic and she has been through alot — even Andy makes some comment saying to Teresa that she is being insensitive.

You are amazing. This article is worthy of a pulitzer prize. My heart breaks for anyone in Teresa’s position. How do you defend yourself against all the lies being told about you by supposed family/friends? How can anyone who is continually being bullied carry one with a smile? Teresa is one strong woman and someone I would be proud to call friend. Thankfully there are people like you (FAME) who can put into words what many of us are thinking/feeling. I am a proud Tre Hugger. Thank you Fame

Wow a breath of fresh air! Great article. I have also become consumed with this show. So much that I refuse to watch the reunion. I have actually decided to stop watching bravo. It’s pretty disgusting how they manipulate this “reality” show. One major mess up that clued me in was the mismatch of events. The posche fashion show was sept. 28, 2011 and Teresa’s fabellini launch party some time in October. Bravo showed the launch party first & jac goes on to say she didn’t know why she wasn’t invited making teresa look bad. Well why would she invite any of those ladies after the showdown at the fashion show?
Also, has anyone else noted how fake Melissa’s alleged BA diploma is? It’s missing the major! She seems like a loser.

    • Kate
      October 7, 2012 at 9:57 AM

I think that a lack of a major being listed on a diploma can also be due to the University not having the proper accreditation for that major/department.

Watching the reunion it was very telling how when Andy asked jaq why she was no show last reunion she couldn’t get two sentences out before Caroline started speaking for her and telling her to calm down. Seemed like she didn’t want jaq saying something that might have proved the “set up wasn’t what it was made to be on the show. Also when Teresa and Kathy had their little blow out, and Kathy was in rare form to viewers as we’ve never really seen her even raise her voice,

Jaq says during that argument that that’s what it was like behind scences all season so when they say Reseda would only play nice for the cameras honestly I think that’s what they all were doing

HairLikeCher, Thank you, your post should be on the cover of US magazine. You were so articulate and said it better then I’ve read anywhere. I have been so frustrated with how Teresa is being portrayed and the mean comments on other sites about her. I too question what lies everyone keeps referring too when they talk about her. Ive been watching from season 1 and I see the same girl, she has a good heart and she is a great mom and is willing to go through fire to keep her marriage intact and her family business private. Even with Melissa attacking her on the reunion, she managed to tell her she loved her. People attack for her parenting when she has been the only mom that has not worried about messing her hair up and really played with her girls. At Melissa’s party she was crawling thru the tunnels with the kids while Melissa just stood there and watched, instead of going to parties she stays home with her kids and husband. My heart breaks for her and I just hope she continues strong and doesn’t let them bring her down. The truth will come out I just hope its sooner rather then later, but just Thank you for your post : )

Wow, I completely forgot about that conversation in season 3. Guess it shows that even Ashlee can be wise about some stuff. I think the major difference between Ashlee & Jacqueline when it comes to drama is that Ashlee is just a spoiled brat; and spoiled brats, by definition, cause drama for their parents. But with Jacqueline, she CHOOSES to be involved in something that doesn’t involve herself. While it is a bit hypocritical for Ashlee to tell Jacqueline to stay out of drama considering she’s been a pain in the ass to her parents, but Jacqueline and Caroline choose to involve themselves in the drama between Teresa and her family. They have no one to blame but themselves.

  25. WTH??!
    October 7, 2012 at 11:08 PM

When you look back at the episodes in season 3 where Melissa and Teresa’s kids together, you can tell these kids get along well and like each other. Obviously that is because they had been in contact and seeing each other unlike what Melissa claimed that she and Teresa did not talk… I doubt the kids had play dates all the time without the mothers being around specially since Melissa claims she has no babysitters.

Does anyone remember reading about Jac, Ashlee, & Chris awhile back? Cant remember where I read but; yhe blog talked to some xstrippers from GlitterGulch that Jac DID strip with. She was a party girl back then too. Said her mother literally raised Asslee until they moved to Jersey. Also said Jac get too physical (arrested for assalt) and she had bad reputation. It was said that reason Chris Laurita always spoiled Asslee & still covers her bills, etc., is because he feared/fesrs she would/will reveal some of their dirty secrets-from payoffs to shut people up to Jac’s many skeletons, etc., the article said how Aslee dropped what few friends she had one she became a “reality star” and people of Franklin Lakes and area couldn’t stand them or Manzos. This article was before the Lauritas $55 million fraud case caught any attention…yet is referred to what a shady biz guy he & his family are — kinda the mafia vibe. Caroline’s kuds dont really respect her/verbally abuse her but suck up to her for $$$. Wish I could remeber where I read this? If anyone finds it – give to Fame — very intetesting read, especially the details about Jac/Assley’s past before she married Chris.
