Andy Cohen Teases Fans by Hinting That Danielle Staub Could Be Returning to RHONJ; Bravo Leaks Details from RHONJ Season 4 Reunion

September 7, 2012

Terra @terrad85 on September 3, 2012, tweeted this question to Andy Cohen:

“If you had to bring back one of the housewives, which one would it be? You may NOT #PleadTheFifth, sorry.”

Andy replied:

“Dina and Danielle!”

He then tweeted (to no one in specific):

“Truth is stranger than fiction. And I am reminded of that each and every day at Bravo! Good night.”

Terra replied:

“That’s very vague. Be more specific.”

But Andy didn’t respond.

This Twitter exchange between Andy and a fan fuels the rumors that Dina or Danielle, or maybe both, may be returning for season 5.

Andy tweeted a photo and comment on September 7, 2012 (see below), leading viewers to believe that taping for the reunion was in progress. Later that day, Andy tweeted:

“Just wrapped #RHONJ reunion. It was intense, funny, dramatic & VERY EMO. And I have Teresa’s bronzing glitter all over my suit sleeve!! … Man do I need a drink.”

Below are photos tweeted from the Borgato Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ, on the day the reunion special was taping.

Dina made an appearance on season 4 episode 18, which premiered Sunday, September 9, 2012, where she attends Teresa’s Fabellini Launch Party held on October 7, 2011.

Teresa appeared on WWHL after episode 18 premiered. On the WWHL After Show, Andy showed a comment that Teresa made about Danielle which didn’t make air from her one-on-one interview with him (which premiered August 26, 2012):

Teresa: Definitely love and light.

Andy: I’m just impressed that you quoted Danielle.

Teresa: I kinda, I don’t know, I kinda miss… not that I miss… you know what, she did do things to hurt me… not hurt me, she really didn’t hurt me. Look, I stuck by Jacqueline and Caroline, being loyal because they were telling me all this stuff about Danielle, and I really didn’t know Danielle.

Andy: So you’re feeling more of an alliance with Danielle, now, in the rear view mirror.

Teresa: Well, she knew a lot of things about Caroline and Jacqueline, and she, at the reunion show, she kept her mouth shut. She didn’t, you know, let it out. And, you know, that’s something to be said about that.

Danielle tweeted this response (which later was removed from her timeline):

Rumors have been circulating that Bravo may bring back Danielle next season to expose Melissa’s lies. According to Danielle, she has copies of the e-mails that Melissa sent to her from 2009 through 2010. Melissa is the one who told Danielle the lies about Teresa’s home being in foreclosure (which infuriated Teresa during the confrontation with Danielle at the Posche Fashion Show at the end of season 2) and about Teresa not visiting her newborn nephew (which enraged Teresa during the season 2 reunion).

On August 16, 2012, when asked if is she is coming back soon to TV, Danielle tweeted:

“Soon sweetie, I will keep you informed.”

When asked if she thought she’d ever be back on RHONJ, Danielle tweeted:

“Not sure.”

Danielle tweeted Teresa during her August 7, 2011 guest spot on WWHL, telling her that Melissa had been feeding her information, unsolicited, about Teresa prior to Melissa being cast on the show. Danielle tweeted that Melissa asked her, “Will you help me expose Teresa and Joe please?” and that Melissa “did indeed tell me (about the dirt Danielle brought up about Teresa during reunion 2); how else would I know.”

Danielle tweeted Teresa on August 9, 2011, to tell her that a former executive producer for RHONJ has copies of the emails:

“@AllAboutTRHONJ you do realize I’m not the only one holding that info right??? One other person has it!!!”

According to IMDb, Rebecca Toth was executive producer for 3 episodes of RHONJ in 2010:
– Reunion (2010) (executive producer)
– Babies, Bubbles and Bubbies (2010) (executive producer)
– Generation Vexed (2010) (executive producer)

More tweets from Danielle about Melissa contacting her during season 1 and season 2:

“@JordanMorrris85 yes i did but I had made a promise to not tell bc Melissa didn’t want tre to know about her coming on the show”

“@cdoddsgo @real_housewives @bravoandy @melissagorga she’s busy searching her many lengthy emails to me Andy I told u about this a yr ago”

“@bravoandy @bravotv Maybe I should show everyone what @melissagorga wrote my fb inbox about Teresa?”

“@melissagorga Melissa Did you ever tell Teresa you were contacting me constantly?”

“@melissagorga did you tell tre you wanted to come on w me last season To get back at her”

“@melissagorga and everytime you & Tre’s brother begged me to come on w me – I said no!”

In September 2010, Danielle said that Joe Gorga also contacted her to help take down his own sister:

“Teresa’s brother has been directly contacting me for the past year and a half, letting me know how he feels about his sister.” – Danielle Staub, September 6, 2010, Out.com

At the end of part 2 of the season 2 reunion special (which premiered on September 6, 2010), Danielle hugged it out with Teresa and Jacqueline and called a truce; Caroline refused to accept her apology. Danielle tweeted recently that only Teresa kept her promise for the truce; however, Danielle also tweeted that she would forgive Teresa only if she apologized in person.

In October and November of 2011, Danielle exchanged tweets with a few viewers who surmised that Jacqueline skipped reunion 3 because she was afraid her past as a stripper was going to come out. Danielle tweeted that Jacqueline “needs everyone to love her and if they don’t, she literally destroys them.” Danielle also tweeted that Jacqueline would attack anyone who supported her and that Jacqueline “doesn’t realize how loyalty really works.” She also tweeted that Jacqueline “should spend more time parenting and less time worrying about what Teresa is doing.”

Danielle’s tweets claiming that Jacqueline was a stripper in Las Vegas were in late October 2011; the season 4 episodes where Jacqueline practically forbid Teresa to communicate with Danielle were filmed in early August 2011, a few months earlier. When Danielle outed Melissa in her August 7, 2011 tweets during Teresa’s appearance on WWHL, Teresa tweeted back that she would like to know more about what Danielle had to say, which infuriated Jacqueline because Jacqueline was fearful that Danielle also would reveal all of her secrets.

Other tweets from Danielle about returning to TV:

  • In March 2012, Danielle tweeted: “In studio today undisclosed location in nyc – it’ll be a bit longer before I can announce my current project ~ the wait will be worth it!”
  • In April 2012, she tweeted a reply to @hollyoliver0822, who asked Danielle if she had anything in the works for TV: “You will see me on your set very soon, currently in production!!” (she later deleted the tweet).
  • In May 2012, she tweeted: “Huge announcements coming!! For all who have been so supportive and patiently awaiting my return….. Thank you! The time is near!”
  • In June and July 2012 she didn’t tweet anything more about returning to TV.

Responses to Andy’s tweet about wanting Dina and Danielle to return to the RHONJ:

Bravo Leaks Details from the Reunion

Note: Bravo’s The Dish blog has exclusive details about the reunion. However, the blog has been edited since first being published because of negative comments from viewers. The edited post ends with this statement: “It wasn’t pretty, but as you’ve seen in the past on Jersey, even when there’s massive blowouts that cause major rifts, the old adage of “family is the most important thing” tends to sway things back to a better place. Here’s hoping that can happen.” The unedited version is below.

Inside the ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Reunion
By MikeHess for Bravo
September 12, 2012

It was around 7:45 PM, nine hours into the nearly 13-hour Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion shoot, that a peculiar sense of tension and unease settled into the room at the Borgata Hotel and Casino.

It’s not as though the ‘Wives had been warm and fuzzy up to this point — since the shoot began around 11 AM, screaming and all-out verbal war had been taking place. But now for some reason, there was a creepy buzz in the room … one that you could feel in your gut and on your armhairs that things were about to get ugly.

Yelling. There was so much of it. Tears flowed. Finger-pointing. Insults. Physical appearances, dress choices, literacy levels, parenting style, children’s employment history and family members were mercilessly mocked. Through nearly every second of filming, there was arguing of some sort. Usually these reunions have at least a little element of joking, jovial interactions and light-hearted conversation. This time, not so much.

Think the cameras turning off would put an end to the fireworks? Nope — the screaming matches went long after the “record” button was toggled off, making routine pauses, bathroom and meal breaks a time of eggshell walking for everyone involved. These wounds were pre-existing and deep, and there wasn’t a whole lot to be done when it came to fixing them.

If you read any of the Tweets from the ‘Wives or Andy Cohen this weekend (Sayeth Andy: “OMFG THIS REUNION IS EPIC!!!”), you got the sense that this particular taping was different. It’s that way because all of the women had not been in the same room together since the major drama that will unfold in the season’s final two episodes. Jacqueline Laurita opted out of last season’s reunion — which shot the day after the big incident — and since then, none have had any contact with Teresa Giudice.

That includes her brother Joe and his wife Melissa Gorga, making for hours upon hours of straight-up unprecedented Housewives chaos.

Without giving anything away, it’s safe to say that there’s never been a reunion with so much bad blood or back-and-forth sparring (even in the Danielle Staub days), and it was all either aimed at or coming from Teresa. Her sister-in-law Melissa, who has both the biggest bone to pick as well as the closest family ties with Teresa, took to Twitter to tell her fans that she had to pop a Xanax in between takes because she was getting so riled up. [Note: That was Jacqueline.]

Other times, Jacqueline had to be held back either by Caroline Manzo or her husband Chris to prevent her from leaving the couch as she lurched toward Teresa. There was an exchange between Kathy Wakile and Teresa that escalated so quickly and became so personal that Kathy’s sister Rosie, who was watching from the sidelines, had to walk off set to cool down.

Even Lauren Manzo got in on the action, throwing some particularly pointed insults at Teresa. The incessant yelling-over-one-another went on for so long that near the end, Andy couldn’t even get a question or comment in over the infighting. Clearly, nothing was getting resolved, and if anything the day’s worth of accusations and put-downs had only made things worse.

As for the aforementioned 7:45 turning point of the night — that’s when the husbands took the stage. (Kathy Wakile sent us the pic above of Rich Wakile, Chris Laurita and Joe Gorga in the moments before coming on set) Anyone who watches the show could predict that Joe Gorga and Joe Giudice would likely butt heads. It’s just what they do. So there’s no real shocker that within minutes, the Joes were shouting at one another for dominance and protecting their wives.

The word “stripper” was thrown around dozens of times, and not just the plotline you know about Melissa. Sure, it was petty fighting when it all boiled down, but the aura that overtook the room was one of familial fracture; brother and sister, cousins and long-time friends going past the brink of inconsequential squabbling and into the void of perhaps never being able to repair things ever again.

“I thought we were coming here to have a little fun,” a puzzled Rich Wakile told me as he left the stage. Fun had already cashed in its chips and checked out of the hotel before Friday morning, apparently. And as is the case with many trips to Atlantic City, what everyone thought would be a good old time quickly unraveled into a did-that-really-happen day which left everyone feeling that sting of unexpected loss.

To quote Melissa’s Twitter once again, because it perfectly sums up this impending reunion: “It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before.”

Danielle could use the paycheck! Would love to see her expose Melissa.

I don’t think Dina would do it, not even a reunion appearance. She seems done.

As much as Bravo is in it for the ratings, it would be true ratings gold to bring back these women to the reunion to answer questions regarding the backstabbing that was taking place. I agree with MP, and don’t believe that Dina would, but I do think Danielle would. This has been such a nasty spectacle so far, but I would love to have the truth regarding Melissa and Joe Gorga’s involvement with Danielle, to tear Teresa down. Unfortunately, it probably would be hurtful to Teresa, especially if Joe was also in on it, but there have been so many lies, and the cast was willing to ignore Melissa’s involvement with Danielle. The fact that they were, was astonishing to me, because of the hatred for Danielle. I would love to see an in the face moment of how underhanded Melissa was, because Caroline has gone after Teresa so badly, and Caroline hated Danielle. I don’t know that Bravo would bring Danielle in for the reunion, but the fact that they wouldn’t or didn’t, also speaks to their agenda, because it would absolutely be ratings gold. I think we all know Danielle would be delighted to come, so if Bravo didn’t bring her in, that shows me that Bravo has no intention to show that Teresa spoke the truth about Melissa and what type of person she was/is. Caroline has stated in the last episode that Teresa said all these bad things about Melissa, and that she likes Melissa, and shame on Teresa. Bringing Danielle in, and exposing Melissa’s intent to hurt Teresa would vindicate her, and if Bravo isn’t willing to do that, then I would really like to know why. I don’t believe in distorting the facts, or skewing the facts to make any one person the villain, and certainly this cast has been doing nothing but demonizing Teresa and Joe Giudice. We have all read about legal and financial issues of various other cast members, but they have not been exposed on the show. I believe in a level playing field, and hope that Andy Cohen will “man up”, and conduct himself without showing favoritism to anyone. I am curious about his only tweet regarding the taping of the reunion show, saying it was very emotional, intense, dramatic, and he has Teresa’s bronzing glitter all over his suit sleeve. Wondering why her glitter is on his sleeve? He has now tweeted he needs a drink, and Caroline Manzo, says a double, and he responds with a triple. It galls me that Caroline is the one who responded to the tweet, saying a double. Can just see her screaming and attacking, and if she remains on this show, they have lost a viewer–actually, I hope they lose many viewers. I look at Caroline Manzo, and I see an “ugly person”, and her angry screaming behavior is a disgrace.

wow isolde you have said it all. I’m with you on that, and this is why i didn’t watch this season. andy could of been exposed melissa by simply answering who contacted who first. their is prof
that melissa has been sabotaging teresa but it’s like andy is protecting both her and joe. she is a big fake and i dont understand why andy would’t bring danielle on the reunion show, i would watch that. jac is annoying and doesn’t know how to be a good friend. i read one of her post and she said when caroline and dina wasnt speaking to her teresa always stayed her friend even though teresa knew dina and caroline first. how is this reality t.v. when you have someone pulling strings. if they dont expose melissa i will be done with real house wives period.i feel like andy is the new kim k.

PS I was finally harassed off the RT page… If anyone choses to visit Reality Tea best of luck!!!!

I am not really familiar with RT–have seen it in passing, but I don’t think I ever really participated. If a site seems overpopulated with unfriendlies, I tend to shy away.

So sorry for your experience there.

That site is not worth anyone’s time. This site is by far the most informative. Fabulous research and time lines given.

      • September 8, 2012 at 6:00 PM

I agree, this site is far more informative!

      September 8, 2012 at 3:47 PM

Sackem, I usually jump ship there after 10 comments. The people on that site come off as highly uneducated. Certainly wouldn’t want any of them in my corner during a crisis. I’ve noticed though, the worst offenders re: NJ are rather pleasant when commenting on other franchises. The ugly comes out big time when it comes to anything NJ. Brutal site. That’s for sure 

      • September 8, 2012 at 6:04 PM

I agree, there’s something about NJ that has really struck a chord. I for one cannot believe how they’ve gone about attacking one person for fame. It really is incredible. It’s also unprecedented the way the production company has overtly damaged reputations.

    • mzjulesaz
      September 8, 2012 at 7:44 PM

I can imagine by whom Sackem. I loved going to see you give them crap right back. I quit going and attempting to look at the comments because the certain people just attacked anyone remotely favorable of Tre or that did not share their opinion.

      • September 10, 2012 at 2:10 AM

That’s so cool!! I was fine until I got dogged by one poster who would just jump on me every time I posted with absolute nonsense which had nothing to do with the show. As soon as I dropped an F Bomb I knew it was time to leave!!!!!

It really is a very bias site and whilst some contributors are lovely, they talk in circles about PR releases and unsubstantiated gossip. I enjoyed the rumble though!!!

This site is just so much more informative and credible. The contributors here are insightful! It’s so great to read different perspectives that make you think “oh yeah, I can see that”!

RealityTea banned me from commenting because i disagreed with insulting children -18 and because i dared to argue that calling Teresa an ape is simply deplorable behavior unbecoming of adults. That website is full of tools. A total lost cause.

      • September 9, 2012 at 12:03 AM

Sackem fought a stern battle over at RT. Kudos to Sackem for sticking it out so long… I would have abandoned the fight much sooner. Here’s what I have to say about RT:

There are about 10 or so Teresa haters at that site who post caustic comments and attack anyone who doesn’t agree with them. Sackem did a great job of counteracting the BS, but it’s a battle that can’t be won since the site owners are anti-Teresa too. I think the site owners have to kiss up to the other cast members because they are obviously their ‘inside sources’, but those cast members have an agenda and, therefore, lack any credibility (in other words, Caroline, Jacqueline, Melissa and her sisters feed lies to bloggers about Teresa). I no longer visit that site and I removed it from my blog roll.

        • Marty
          September 9, 2012 at 12:52 AM

Thank you!! RT is disturbing…good thing it’s only 10 plus or minus 1 or 2. Teresa has hundreds more to their 10 ish. When I realized to look at the posters names a little more critically I came to the same conclusion only 10ish. To Sackem, Good Job! I

          • September 10, 2012 at 2:55 AM

Thanks Marty!!! I really enjoy reading your comments here!!!

        • September 10, 2012 at 3:02 AM

Seriously, who are you???? No don’t tell me!!!!! Mild mannered office worker by day, crime fighter by night! Thanks for the shout out Famewhorgas!!!! I’m just going to invent personas for you!

      • September 10, 2012 at 2:53 AM

Wow, you got banned for that?!?!?!?

That whole kid thing made me loath the show more. I think the way Bravo set up the Anti Teresa Campaign opened the door to a lot of criticism towards her children. Nothing was off limits for them to show. She was just hung out there so obviously by her employer that it left her vulnerable. So many children have appeared on this show, it’s meant to be about housewives, and yet their unprecedented decision to lead the attack changed the game. It’s like the 4th wall came down… I’m not sure if I’m finding the right words to get my point across…. I guess that distance between TV personality and audience is weak and I’m not sure why it is particularly around Teresa… they all tweet and Facebook yet, she seems more reachable or bash-able. Maybe they removed a layer of protection by feeding her to the wolves? I could totally be boxing at shadows with this train of thought though! I just feel they dropped a certain level of responsibility towards her family, removed the safety net because they called the shots and chose to portray her in a certain light. You’re talking hundreds of hours of footage to choose from and they choose the parts with the most sass.

I was absolutely gob smacked that contributors who are, if the demographic stats of the show are to be believed, mainly mothers, would say such terrible things about a child and then blame Teresa for their lack of control. In one breath they’d talk about how minors should not be on TV and then in the next say how much they enjoyed that Honey Child show. I don’t get it!

Twitter also has a hand in this. I think many people don’t really know how to place it in this context. I honestly see it as a marketing device… I could be wrong but it’s become an acceptable extension of the show maybe because you’re “friended” or “accepted” into it. I don’t know.. it’s weird that it’s fine for Jac to show baby photos in a magazine but wrong of Teresa to show baby photos on twitter despite the fact that Melissa, ever the copy cat post just as many….. Werid weird weird!!!

        • September 10, 2012 at 3:13 AM

I just wanted to add… When Jill Zarin was bad, she was bad on her own. Same with LuAnn and Ramona. They create the situation through character. This show just wreaks of a set up and it’s Teresa who has been stripped bare, warts and all. But we know this right!

          September 17, 2012 at 7:25 PM

i agree with you. but i think between her bankruptcy and the way it looked like her and the other cast were picking on danielle, i found myself not being a fan. then i watch season 3 and
i seen karma. but i also seen how quickly people turned on her. i do like teresa after watching
season 3 ,and i love the way she stood her ground i mean with family like her brother and kathy who needs enemies. but the way she was treated led me not to watch this season. this show is breaking up friendships, family, and many marriages has ended in divorce because of this show.like your self i wounder why is everyone so negative when it comes to teresa. i watched a wendy williams show and i felt attacked for her. i dont think she has anything to be jelly over melissa. i think her family is lovely and i would watch a show based on her family. i just feel like i’m to old for the drama.

I would be really surprised to learn Dina would return. Found it interesting to rewatch the first season reunion. Definitely some hostility btw Dina,VegasJac, and Caro. Espec Dina & Caro, who kept trying to put words in Dina’s mouth, egging on trouble with Danielle, etc–Dina kept giving Caro dirty looks, even defended Danielle telling Caro to “let it drop”, “forget it”. I believe she was sincere, b/c she left the show the next season, for reasons we all heard–and I think in the past few years, we’ve seen she definitely does NOT want to get involved in their drama. Thus, distancing herself from all of them—(and of course b/c she didn’t want her HGTV show tainted with that stink!). But it seems like Dina has actually lived what she preached, so I don’t know she’d return and resume any of that. She’s got ability to succeed without Bravo.

I watched the season 1 reunion yesterday as well. Caroline spoke for all, Dina and Jacqueline couldn’t get a word in. Danielle called Caroline out finally when she wouldn’t let Jacqueline speak for herself. Classic Caroline Manzo, same bully, different victim. Seriously hope she’s gone next year!! I have a high pain threshold and have reached my max level. Enough already with these women!!!

I don’t think Danielle should come back as a housewife – too dark and something is just off about her. That said I would love for her to be at the reunion. Dina will not – too much drama, if asked I’m pretty sure she’d refuse

Same here. While I don’t want her back on the show, I would LOVE to see her at the reunion- just so she can set everything straight on the whole “Did Mel or did Mel not try to collaborate with Danielle to take Tre down?” question. I would love to see Danielle and Melissa go face to face.

Bravo rating gold – Danielle exposing both Melissa and Jac – fans deserve that considering the last two seasons they have endured. Bravo rating platinum – exposing Caroline and forcing her to explain all her lies. It is time for Bravo to get rid of the family feud garbage. I wonder if BravoAndy realizes that he will either sink or save this franchise with how he handles this reunion.

    • September 8, 2012 at 1:45 PM

If this reunion is anything like the last one, I am done with RHONJ. I can not take and entire cast ganging up on one person any longer. Its sickening.

    September 8, 2012 at 12:46 PM

I totally agree with you. Caroline needs to explain all of her lies, so does Melissa, Joe and Kathy. After watching the Season 1 Reunion, it appears Jacqueline has been living in a very tiny world, inside of her own head and has stayed there the past 3 years. It is clear from watching that reunion, it is Caroline who pulls Jac’s strings. As far as Richie, his words and his actions, “garbage”. I certainly hope Andy handles this reunion fairly. As I have said before, “if not, I am gone”, although I will continue to support Teresa’s projects.

Sometimes I think Andy and BRAVO planted the “let’s be mean to Teresa” seed inside all the other’s heads. It was interesting to watch all of them continue to bash Teresa, over and over again for no apparent reason. Their actions and words even caused them to lose some of their own fans. (Yes, I was more of a Caroline fan, although I did like Jacqueline and Teresa.) Yet, they all continued. They all seemed programed to do this, perhaps anticipating some great reward in the end. Also, by planting this seed, Andy and BRAVO would be able to test Teresa’s star power, as well as the loyalty of her fans. I believe this planted seed, along with Teresa and Joe not investing in blk fueled these past two seasons. Just a thought.

I am so happy I stumbled upon this site. Another site some of you housewives fans might enjoy is tvgasm.com. This writer seems to dislike all of the housewives, but the writing is so funny.

In October and November of 2011, Melissa pointed a finger at Teresa, accusing her of setting her up at the September 27, 2011 Posche fashion show (PFS) to expose her ‘dancer’ past (Melissa was quoted by several tabloids as accusing Teresa). Melissa then changed her story after The Huffington Post and Radaronline wrote articles where insiders claimed Teresa had nothing to do with the setup. Melissa said she would wait to make her final accusation after seeing how Bravo spins it; Jacqueline said that Bravo will make Teresa appear innocent.

“Jacqueline did say Teresa will appear INNOCENT of any wrongdoing in regards to the set up!” [she was interviewed by RHWGossip on January 14, 2012].

“Bravo has magic. We’ll see which way they play it” [she was interviewed by Reality Tea on April 12, 2012].

Melissa said she was waiting to watch the PFS episode so she could see how Bravo would ‘spin’ it, yet Bravo taped the reunion special at least two weeks before the premiere of that episode. This means that, while taping the reunion special, Melissa and Jacqueline wouldn’t have been able to staunchly defend their position that Teresa was behind the setup because neither would have known yet how Bravo ‘played it’ since the episode hadn’t aired [although it is possible that Bravo gave them their copies early and they saw it before taping the reunion special].

This will make the reunion worth watching… just to see if they commit to accusing Teresa of setting up Melissa without having seen the episode [if this is the case].

I swear I wish Tre’s parents would sue Andy Cohen, the producers, Bravo, and the Manzos, Lauritas, the Wakilies and yes even the Gorgas. These asswipes should be held accountable and responsible for the utter, purposeful demise of a family. This says everything about Bravo and Andy Cohen – after Russell’s suicide, they hurridly, without consious, actually plot to hurt another family! Andy, Bravo, NBC….they all makes me sick!

When these shows first started, I admit I watched them, and I was hooked. But as the years wore on, and it become a constant battle between all of these ladies, which word I use loosely, I got bored. I watch these shows for enjoyment, an escape from the stresses of my own everyday life. I want to be entertained. If I wanted to watch girls fighting in the schoolyard, I’d hang out with 13 year olds. I really think that Bravo has done an incredible disservice to women. Whether it was the initial idea of the narrative, I don’t know, but they have managed to make women look small, catty, bitchy, immature and unable to have meaningful relationships. I have had some of the same girl friends for over 40 years, and we’ve never, ever acted like these ladies do. Ever. And if anyone did act that way, I would not have continued the friendship. Its obvious that these women are in for the big haul, the books, the spin off shows, the radio programs, the exposure for their kids. But at what price? Have they no self-respect, or dignity? Obviously not. And what a sad statement that is.
