Melissa Gorga Lied in Her Voice-Over: She Didn’t Babysit for Teresa Giudice on October 7, 2011 So That She Could Go to Her Fabellini Launch Party – The Sweet & Sassy Scene Was Taped on July 11, 2011

“Took Antonia, Gabriella, & Miliania to get manis & pedis this morning! They were sooo cute! #cousinlove xoxo” – Melissa Gorga, Monday, July 11, 2011, 1:36 PM, Twitter

“I don’t get why Bravo does this. There was certainly enough drama to be had without having to go to extreme lengths to concoct more. I really question as to whether Teresa was out to expose Melissa’s alleged past stint as a stripper. IMO Bravo set that up too. Their motives are weird to me. I’m ashamed to admit that I actually believed Andy when he stated in his book that you can’t make this shit up and it’s all real. Boy was I a fool!” – BravaBravo, September 13, 2012, Television Without Pity

“The editors change up the chronology of events for certain reasons, and the cast just has to play along. In this case, though, it makes Teresa look bad, like she was just being vindictive for not inviting Jacqueline and later being ungrateful to Melissa after she babysat for her. The timeline wasn’t really like that. So they STAGED the scene where Melissa is talking to Caroline about acting like she is in high school? WOW. That is some creative manipulation there. The thing is, most viewers don’t know the dates of filming or when these events occurred, so the overall impression will be that Teresa is the villain and everyone tried to be nice to her. This is crazy. But also, wouldn’t Teresa know and say something about this? Or is this all about ratings and she agreed to be the villain if it keeps people watching? Hmm.” – blumarine, September 12, 2012, Lipstick Alley

“That non disclosure clause in their contracts must be something serious because there’s no way I could just let certain stuff slip by without a wink wink nod nod to let my supporters know that ‘yeah the events happened but not in the order you see them’ without me getting in trouble by Mama Andy, Bravo ‘nem.” – shampoona, September 13, 2012, Lipstick Alley

Savvy viewers are asking:

  1. In her talking head interview for season 4 episode 18, why did Jacqueline say she was hurt that she wasn’t invited to Teresa’s Fabellini launch party on October 7, 2011, when we know that the cast verbally assaulted Teresa at the Posche Fashion Show (PFS) on September 27, 2011 and at the reunion 3 taping the next day, September 28, 2011, which Jacqueline didn’t attend because she was too upset with Teresa (later calling her ‘scum’ in her tweets during the reunion 3 premiere).
  2. Why was Melissa watching Teresa’s girls so that Teresa could go to her Fabellini launch party on October 7th when we know that she led the verbal assault against Teresa on September 27th and 28th, which she and the cast continued during the months that followed (the cast set out on a smear campaign after the reunion to bash Teresa, accusing her of setting up Melissa at the PFS).
  3. How could Melissa be watching Teresa’s girls so she could attend her Fabellini launch party on October 7th, when Teresa and Melissa both agree they haven’t seen each other since the season 3 reunion taping on September 28th (except for Milania’s and Gia’s joint birthday party on January 28, 2012). And Sweet & Sassy posted on their Facebook page, with photo, that Melissa was there on July 11, 2011.
  4. Why are Joe and Melissa suddenly so supportive of Teresa and standing up to Caroline: Joe saying Caroline was wrong and ruined the last day of the vacation and Melissa telling Caroline that’s she being childish (and Caroline is taking it, which is so not like Caroline to take that kind of criticism)?

The Fabellini launch party was on Friday, October 7, 2011; Melissa brought Antonia, Grabiella and Milania to Sweet & Sassy on July 11, 2011.

After the PFS show on September 28, 2011, none of the other ladies were speaking to Teresa, so of course they wouldn’t have gone to her Fabellini launch party on October 7, 2011, even if all of them had been invited. Melissa wasn’t babysitting for Teresa on October 7, 2011 so that she could go to her launch party — this voice-over explanation by Melissa is a lie — Melissa took the girls to Sweet & Sassy on July 11, 2011 (look at how they are dressed: that is summer attire and not what you would be wearing in New Jersey in October).

The reason the cast was not at the Fabellini launch party is because they refused to go — it took place after the PFS on September 27, 2011, and after the season 3 reunion was taped on September 28, 2011, and the cast has publicly stated that none of them have really talked to Teresa since then.

The scenes in season 4 episode 18 are out of sequence: some scenes were taped in July 2011 while others were taped in October 2011. Voice-overs and talking head interviews by Melissa and Jacqueline are lies used to conceal this fact. The timing doesn’t make sense because Bravo and the cast are lying to us.  Why? It’s a smear campaign to bring in ratings. The producers want us to believe that Melissa couldn’t go to the launch party because she was babysitting for Teresa, when in reality she didn’t attend because she and the rest of the cast refused to go to support her; and they want us to believe that Joe and Melissa solidly backed Teresa after Caroline’s verbal assault against her in California when in actuality they have always been on any side other than Teresa’s. They are editing footage and creating voice-overs to make it appear like Melissa was trying to move forward with Teresa after the California trip and then, out of nowhere, Teresa ambushed her (the PFS setup). Melissa comes right out and says this in her Bravo blog for episode 18, published on September 11, 2012 (after this Fame-Whorgas’ article was written):

“Knowing what’s to come in the season finale, this episode makes me happy and sad at the same time. When I called a truce with Teresa, I meant it. I truly wanted to put all the past behind us and start with a clean slate. I wanted to forget about all the vindictive things that went on between us and move on for our children and our family. I was putting my two feet forward and giving the relationship my all. I didn’t want to go back to where we were in the past. We made a promise to move forward, and that’s exactly what I did. You will soon see that wasn’t the case for Teresa. The next two episodes are really telling and you will understand why we are all at the place we are today. Stay tuned for a wild ride.

There is hardly anything real about The Real Housewives franchise (except for the cast members’ hatred for Teresa): the show is semi-scripted with producer-driven storylines. And Bravo has taken it to a new low with the darkness and hate over the past two seasons.

Bravo starts season 4 episode 18 with scenes of the girls going off for their first day of school. Then we see Melissa pickup Gabriella and Milania during the day to join her and Antonia at Sweet & Sassy — she talks over the scene saying she’s babysitting for Teresa so that she can go to her Fabellini launch party. The launch party was on Friday, October 7, 2011, a school day, so why wouldn’t the girls be in school on this day, and why would Melissa need to babysit during the day when the party was held at night? Obviously, Melissa is lying in her voice over — this mani/pedi trip to Sweet & Sassy was filmed before the school year started and well before the launch party. Bravo is trying to manipulate the viewers — they often take scenes out of sequence to support the story they are trying to tell.

On the Sweet & Sassy Facebook page, they show a photo with Melissa in the outfit she wore in episode 18 (video) with a caption dated July 11, 2011, the actual day that Melissa brought the girls to the salon, which was early in the taping of season 4. On July 6, 2011, they posted this comment on their Facebook page: “We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming The Real Housewives of New Jersey back to film again very soon! Can’t wait to spread the glitter and glam love with our favorite ladies and their little divas! — Gia’s 9th birthday party was filmed at Sweet & Sassy. The producers had to go all the way back to the beginning of July to find footage where Melissa actually spent time with her nieces, and even then she only picked up two of the four Giudice girls.

Getty images of Melissa in the outfit she wore (and the same hair, makeup and jewelry) in her talking head interviews for episode 18 are dated March 8, 2012.

You only heard Melissa talking over the scene saying she was taking the girls so Teresa could go to her launch party — an outright lie. And Jacqueline’s talking head comment wondering why she wasn’t invited to Teresa’s launch party was another trick to deceive the viewers. Jacqueline probably taped her talking head around the same time as Melissa’s talking head interview, which was March 8, 2012. Also, during Kathy’s dessert party under the tent beside the cemetery during season 4 episode 13, Teresa invited Chris and Jacqueline to her Fabellini launch party; so Jacqueline was invited prior to the PFS blowup and she is misleading the viewers in her talking head interview, like Melissa is lying in her voice-over, which were both taped months after the season ended.

Melissa’s visits to Caroline’s and Jacqueline’s houses where she discusses Caroline being done with Teresa, and how childish Caroline is acting, were staged — you could tell something was off with their conversations, like they were scripted, and that their expressions were not in sync with what they were saying (and suddenly Joe Gorga is supporting his sister over Caroline?) These were extra scenes taped in early October 2011, after the PFS and after the season 3 reunion special was taped. Caroline’s Sirius radio gig was October 8 – 9, 2011.

The producers, with the cast members’ cooperation (other than Teresa), staged these scenes to setup Caroline’s and Melissa’s storylines for season 5 — they are going to start off season 5 blaming Teresa for the PFS setup. Why else would Caroline stand there meekly and let Melissa talk down to her?

“Melissa flat out tells Caro that she was the one who put it out there in the first place, out of nowhere, so it’s really not fair to sit there playing victim now. Wow! Defying Caroline? I like the turn this thing is taking! Caro then turns it around to say that she was only defending Kat from THE SNUB. Mel replies that they’re not in high school. Wow again! She says that Ter repeatedly apologized, so what else is left? Car finally brushes it all off by saying she doesn’t care what anyone thinks, she feels good about getting Ter out of her life and she’s “here to help”. She doesn’t specify with what exactly, but I’m guessing if a new blood feud need stirring, she’s got the spoon.” – ChickBomb, September 11, 2012, Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: Blood Is Thicker Than Marinara

Now we know why Bravo taped reunion 4 before the PFS episode. They didn’t want it discussed at the reunion so they could use it for the main storyline to start off season 5. And they wanted to end the season with the viewers believing Teresa ambushed Melissa just after they were getting along so well. And they wanted the viewers to see Joe and Melissa finally taking Teresa’s side over Caroline’s and, of course, for everyone to finally see that Caroline was right all along about Teresa.

During Teresa’s WWHL appearance on September 9, 2012, Andy asked Teresa why she didn’t invite Jacqueline to the launch party, the same thing Jacqueline wondered in her talking head interview during episode 18, yet Jacqueline knew exactly why she wasn’t invited — they are deceiving the viewers with the editing and voice-overs. The look on Teresa’s face when Andy asked was a dead give away: she was caught off guard by the question and Andy fed her the answer he wanted.

Teresa explained in her Bravo blog for episode 18 that she invited everyone but Jacqueline and Caroline; however, she can’t reveal the real reason that Jacqueline wasn’t invited (her blaming Teresa for the PFS setup of Melissa more than a week earlier) because the episode has yet to premiere:
