A Question for Patti Stanger — Do You Think Joe Gorga Should Leave Melissa for Cheating on Him?

During her Watch What Happens Live special on Valentine’s Day, Patti Stanger was doling out love advice for Bravo couples. In true Patti fashion, words were hardly minced, and when it came to Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe, Patti said that she thought Teresa should consider dumping Joe. In fact, here’s what she said, verbatim:
“Ugh. Teresa, you know that I got your back, you know that I love you, but this is a bad dude. Get rid of him — and call me.”
Needless to say, Teresa isn’t exactly thrilled with The Millionaire Matchmaker’s humble opinion, and on Friday she decided to hit back on Twitter. With a seemingly calm and loving demeanor, Teresa tweeted:
“Last night @pattistanger with @bravoandy all relationships are a work in progress. One can only judge by walking in someone’s shoes. XOXO”
Patti was quick to respond, replying directly to the tweet saying that she was only hoping for the best for Teresa and the family:
“@Teresa_Giudice @bravoandy I love u n want the best for u n the kids.”
Now why would Andy ask Patti what she thought of Teresa’s marriage — the heavily edited scene in the vineyard was from a year and a half ago (September 2011)?
When asked, “Was Joe Giudice talking to a woman on the phone in Napa; did he forget to turn off his mic?”, a former RHONJ post production supervisor, speaking to a cousin on September 17, 2012, responded: “The call was 100% innocent. He called Teresa a c*** because he didn’t want to be there filming, and was taking it out on her. He had a legal mess at home he needed to deal with but was contractually obligated to be there.”
Of course, Andy Cohen did not ask Patti what she thought about the Life & Style COVER story with the headline “Melissa Cheated on Joe!,” which came out the day before, February 13, 2013.

No woman has ever come forward alleging Joe cheated on Teresa, yet there are strong allegations against Melissa; however, the Andy Cohen machine (Us Weekly, Wendy Williams, Anderson Cooper, Kelly Ripa, Kathy Griffin, Patti Stanger, etc.) wants to stifle the truth about that.
The following are January 2013 tweets from Melissa’s ex, Bryan ‘Bulldog’ Bowen (@bulldog_nj), who she had an extramarital affair with:
“I don’t have to look in her mirror or live with her. She has to do that all by herself. I know the TRUTH & so does she.”

Talk show host Wendy Williams has quickly come to the defense of one of her favorite Housewives.
On Friday, Wendy opened her show with a rant against the Bravo network’s Real Housewives of New Jersey. Williams took a stand and defended Melissa Gorga who was called out for cheating on her husband, Joe, in this week’s Life&Style.
The outspoken host made it clear that she does not believe the accusations against Melissa and sharply warned Bravo that RHONJ producers are gonna have to “do better than this or just shut down the [Real Houswives] franchise.”
Wendy went on to point her finger at Melissa’s enemies on the show, Teresa Giudice and Kim D. She called them “troublemakers” and said the the whole plot line to destroy Melissa is “very tiring” and that it’s time for producers to “come up with newer and fresh material!”
So let me get this straight Wendy…………it’s perfectly fine to disect Teresa’s marriage but once it comes to your beloved Melissa, now Bravo is going too far???????????
She doesn’t believe the accusations. That’s okay. Her opinion. But to call out Teresa as the one doing this is just plain wrong.
This, again, is why I go crazy with NJ & defend Teresa. Teresa’s the troublemaker. Teresa is out to destroy the family.
In MY opinion, it has been Melissa all along. But Wendy Williams, Kelly Ripa, all of the WWHL guests that Bravo books…………they are all against Teresa. Saying she should leave the show.

Patti Stanger is a soon to be 52 year old woman who has not been able to maintain a long term relationship with a man and never been married. She has no clue what it takes – all the hard work and attention needed – to keep a marriage going, having never been in one herself. As Teresa said, all marriages are a work in progress and that never changes – no matter how long you are married.
When taking marriage vows, do people REALLY take the time to think about the actual vows: in sickness and in health; for richer for poor; for better or worse??? Teresa is Italian, raised with “old fashioned” values (whatever happened to those? Maybe we should revisit them?!), and is Catholic. Divorce is not an option in the eyes of the Church – doesn’t matter what WE think – it only matters what Teresa and Joe think. That is their business and it certainly is not the business of Patti, who purports herself as being a “Matchmaker”
It’s a pretty low blow to suggest someone walk away from their long term marriage – especially when their are four children that resulted from that sacred union. And then have the nerve – the nerve to tell Teresa to call her!!! I find this to be totally disrespectful!!

Hi Jeanie, I couldn’t agree more! It angers me when any person can be so flippant and nonchalant about what marriage means!! Her comments show her absolute ignorance on this topic. Who elected Patti as the marriage/ dating maven anyhow? My husband left me with a 4&7 yr old. That was 18 yrs ago and I still hurt for my adult children. Relationships are definitely a work in progress. What an ass she is!
Well said! I think Andy pays them off to say these things about Teresa or, maybe he threats them. Who knows! I just know that I find it funny they can talk about Teresa’s marriage but leave Melissa’s, Caroline’s and Jacqueline’s in the dark. We all know their marriages aren’t what they make it out to be definitely Melissa. And thanks so much for the kind words on the blog where Fame was thinking about letting this site go. I agree with you. Marriage takes constant work and commitment. It’s easy for someone on the outside to judge but unless they have walked a mile in there shoes they have no room to talk. I believe that they are going after Teresa’s marriage is because they are trying to make her look like and unhappy person who is welling to hurt her brother’s marriage. They have pushed this angle since season 3 and I don’t think that they are willing to relinqush it. Especially Melissa because if people stop trashing Teresa and her marriage she knows that her house of cards that is beginning to crumble will definately fall if they really start looking at her.
Unfortunately, Joe Guidice gave them ammo for their agenda on a silver platter. I do believe he was on the phone with another woman but that’s only an opinion and not a fact. Even so, it is not for anyone else to say whether Teresa should or shouldn’t leave him. I stayed with my ex because of HIS kids until they were in their 20s and even then I wouldn’t have left if it wasn’t for a straw that broke the camel’s back (trust me, if kids weren’t involved I wouldn’t have stayed as long as I did. Long, complicated story, won’t bore any of you with). Once you have children, or even involve children, it’s not what’s right for only YOU any longer. However, if the problem was my ex cheating on me, that would have been it for ME. I know plenty of couples who one or the other cheated and they worked it out. I would have NEVER told a friend of mine to leave. I would always say, “it’s up to you,” how do YOU feel about it. I can’t even imagine telling my friend “leave you husband.” (Unless, of course, there was abuse involved.) And to put that kind of comment out there for the world to hear is just wrong.
Thank you Jeannie, I might ad that bringing a boyfriend or stepdad into a home is very difficult to do. Joe was NOT talking to a woman. You can tell the scene was fake. I watched it a few times and it is so obvious. I say stay out of T and Joe’s business Patty ( I can’t stand her). Joe loves T and the girls.
Another thing Andy talks about people who are drunk on WWHL. He is loaded more than half the time on this show. He slurs his words, eyes are bloodshot. Blah!!!!!!

Mentioned this before but… revisiting the reunion and all Missy could do was shout at Teresa for commenting on her marriage. Take the Bravo glasses off ladies! Teresa had a private conversation with her brother who used it against her to win some “popularity” contest on a C grade show. We all saw that it was Missy and the other “ladies” constantly bringing up Melissa’s marriage, that was her plot line, in between attacking Teresa’s marriage. Did Caroline not pull out her crystal ball and predict it’s demise or say that Teresa’s need to keep up with Melissa (sorry I just laughed a little typing that) has put strain on Juicy? Was it not Jac who commented on a child’s remark about separate rooms? Was it not Missy alluding to an imperfect union? These women are delusional.
As for Patti – I’m with you guys. Until you experience true love and commitment, you’ll never realise the lengths another will go to to maintain their happiness. As soon as children enter the equation, the rules change – and I’m a product of divorce. I believe that divorce does have its place, relationships are complex, but as my Nanna advised my Mum when we got married “don’t worry about them fighting because while you’re worrying, they’re at home making up”. No one ever knows what goes on behind closed doors. Juicy said he was turned on by the table flip – maybe that’s their thing!

When responding to a question from a gay man about a long-distance open relationship, she said, “There is no curbing you people”, meaning that gay men are incapable of monogamy. I think Andy’s hatred for Teresa is a mix of Joe’s comments and he probably feels she emasculated him when she threw him off her during the season 2 reunion, he still gripes and makes comments about that, almost 3 years later.

Exactly. There is no good reason for it. Andy has commented that he thought it was funny when Teresa pushed him back into his chair. Although he’s not going to act like it bothered him. There are plenty of housewives that aren’t Jewish that he likes. Maybe it’s something that the viewers don’t know about, who knows? Other than the first season when Teresa said her gay friends thought that it was “stupid” to be offended by Joe’s comments, right after Andy said he was offended. But he didn’t pick on her in the second season so…
I have said it before, Andy is jealous of Teresa. Jealous of what she has accomplished and jealous of her ever growing fan base. To me a jealous person feels, week, needy and lacks self-esteem. Andy only feels better when he puts Teresa down, it makes him feel strong, important. He has shown his true colors time and time again.

What, Joe says the f-word two or three times, and claims that Greg has a “loose hole” (Which I heard was referring to Greg being a ho rather than his sexuality; but either way, Joe made a very sincere apology soon after he made that comment), but Stanger stereotyping an entire sexual orientation is okay in the eyes of Andy?? Is it because Joe has never “apologized” for saying them? Joe isn’t homophobic, just ignorant. And with all the ignorant people starring in current Bravo reality shows, I would have expected Andy to have tolerated it.

I liked Tre’s response. She was very cordial. She could have gone crazy on Patti, but that doesn’t seem like Tre…at least on twitter. I feel that on twitter, Tre has the opportunity to compose herself and think about her answer. Unlike the reunions, where we see Caro and MeGo seize the opportunity to make Tre look dumb and incoherent. Tre can be a fireball, but she handled it/all very well.

I agree. It’s always good to talk out with those close to you to figure out appropriate ways to respond to someone attacking/criticizing her marriage. I wonder if Andy’s mouthpiece(s) realize how close-minded they sound when they only attack Teresa. What about the others? Are we only to forgive them for their actions, but attack when Teresa makes similar mistakes? Foolish, I tell you.
I think it’s because Tre is in her happy place, with her family, when she sees these tweets. She not trapped in a setting that is subjected to a fight or flight response where she can’t flee so she retaliates. She obviously still does not go for the jugular because at any time during these reunions she could spill the secrets she knows but she doesn’t.
Think about it, the times that she was attacked by Joe and Melissa during the season, she has walked away from the situation. Although the one time Melissa kept her interacting by calling her a coward that she was leaving, but she still ended up leaving.
Dina said in a recent interview that Teresa was a pretty quiet person in real life.
No one watches Patti’s show or WWHL. Their ratings are in the toliet. They can both get lost and no one takes advice about marriage from a person who was never married.

I once watched Regis and Kelly. When she took over I just could not stand the way she acts like a baby. All her pouts and baby talk were just a turn off. As far as Cooper, Kathy, Patti and Wendy, I really never watched. I would find the television tuned in, but their programs never kept me interested.

What a couple. Feels about each other. And you cannot say what is ultimately most important in a relationship… Not all couples have the same values. Thats perfectly fine. Who cares if someone stands for behavior you dont like? obviously tre thinks he has qualities that make him worth the trouble. There is no formula for a marriage without problems, and Patti thinks there is. We are all people, not finite numbers. Relationships are not a science.
Patty is as good at her job as Dr. Drew. Half of Dr. Drew’s patients are now dead, and patti Stanger doesn’t have a track record of success at all. F** her that fat, ugly pig.

We are great Moma and our little Ava has settled in nicely! I’m learning her little idiosyncrasies but my favourite is when she’s really satisfied after a feed and her little face shines with contentment and pure bliss. I call it “milk drunk”. The fog has lifted so I’m good, still a little teary every now and again but that’s expected.
My mind’s spinning at the new wave of attack on Teresa though. Seriously, we know how Bryan came about, to suggest otherwise is just ludicrous!

This is social commentary. The allure of “reality TV” is that people identify more with these players than they do characters on scripted TV. It makes us look at ourselves, our lives, and want to discuss.

Didn’t get a chance to read all the comments so forgive me if this sounds redundant. How is it that Teresa’s marital issues were on the covers of all the rag mags well over a year ago, but Melissa’s are gracing the covers of this months issues, and Teresa and Joe are still the hot topic..
Just my opinion but as long as they are talking about Teresa’s marriage people will not be focused on Melissa’s. Deflecting. Andy most likely pulled the friend card and Wendy and Patti turned their focus on Tre to take some of the heat off of MeHo.
Calypso – you hit the nail on the head – I believe you are right!! All these pieces of information are coming to light about Melissa and Joe – negative stories and Bravo/Andy are scrambling. How are they going to salvage the “storylines” they are now currently filming with all of this information about Melissa coming out? How are they going to do damage control?
Well, of course!! Just play up the “plot” they have already established for Teresa for S5; that being Teresa is the one behind trying to expose Melissa and setting her again – after all, Melissa will still be “the victim”!!!!
Oprah(@spaghettikitten) (aka “whaddup” LOL!) is also right – the timing of Patti and Wendy’s statements is suspect to say the least. It is quite the coincidence.
Jeannie, IMO Teresa will never again get a good edit from Bravo. I don’t believe Bravo or Andy would have ever given Meho the time of day had it not been for Tre’s bankruptcy. Who on earth would have imagined Tre would or could maintain a smile and say I’m fine during such a humbling time? Certainly not Bravo! They expected her to crumble and when she did, they would replace her with a Teresa knock off and Meho fit the bill. Honestly, had Tre left the show it would have never skipped a beat, she would have easily been accepted being Tre’s SIL and no one would have ever known of the bad blood between them. But, as we all know, that didn’t happen. So now what’s Bravo to do but try to humiliate Tre into leaving but that hasn’t worked either. It won’t stop until Teresa or Meho leaves the show.
The only way Meho’s cheating will ever be aired by Bravo will be as she and Joe retreat into obscurity when they can no longer maintain the public image they’ve created for themselves. I find this troubling because rock bottom is dark and lonely place to take your kids in the quest for fame and Bravo will have no trouble using the footage for ratings. Bravo won’t pay them enough to maintain the lavish lifestyle they pretend to live and neither of them have or ever will have the draw that Teresa does to earn it themselves. Joe on SizzleTan billboards speaks volumes as to how desperate for cash they really are and living the lie still seems to be priority #1. This is why I worry about Bryan – If wishing him dead was their first thought – How far would they actually go to keep him quiet? Look at what they’ve done to Teresa and the Gorgas (family) and the behavior of the Marco’s and their minions -it’s scary! Or, how far will Bravo and Andy go to belittle him to save their show?
Again this is just my opinion, but after last season, I don’t think they’ve scratched the surface on how low will they go.
Again, I agree with you Calypso! I fear we are in for another season of Teresa being made to look like the villian and Melissa is the victim. Teresa is going to lose a huge part of her fan base if she allows this to happen again, including me. I will no longer have empathy for her. People are getting tired of it all.
Teresa has got to be aware of all of this – if she is not, then she really has her head in the ground like an ostrich! There is no way she doesn’t know what Bravo has in store for her. It is all over the internet right now even before filming has finished. And I have no doubt either she reads these blogs and articles or people who are close to her do.
Maybe she feels she needs to protect her family and her brother and “take one for the team” again? Or maybe she is just consumed with trying to deal with Joe’s hearing coming up on the 25th of February – HMMMMM – I just thought of something – I wonder if that is going to be filmed???
While it may look like a PR stunt on Bravo’s part to drum up audience viewership for S5, Bravo will HAVE to deal with changing this storyline of Teresa the villian if this information about Melissa continues to keep coming out piece by piece, making all of Bravo’s current footage look like old news and obsolete before it even airs late Spring early Summer. Other people are starting to come out of the woodwork, (Melissa’s ex-friend for example), encouraged by Bryan surfacing I believe. And if Bryan were to tell his story (if he doesn’t, it would be understandable as he has far more important issues to deal with right now) and provide evidence of him being with Melissa after she was married BEFORE S5 airs, Bravo will be up the creek with no paddle. It would be foolish on Bravo’s part to air old footage at that point. They have already started putting damage control in motion right now (with Patti and Wendy; with more to come undoubtably) to counteract this scenario because it would hurt their bottom line dramatically.
If none of this happens, well then we are in for the same old tired storyline this coming Season and it definitely will hurt Teresa this time around – it will be a shame but she is going to have to start taking responsibility for allowing it to happen.
I agree with these posts, and it’s horrible what that Melissa has done. However, I’m also a cynic and conspirator at times and what if Teresa knows all about Melissa, her affairs, etc. everything. And what if Bravo went to Teresa and said, we’ll pay you much more money (which she needs) if she goes along with how they portray Melissa. She’s allowed to say what she wants in the reunions, she can fight her way through, say what she wants in her talking heads to plead her case, but she has to allow the edit and get paid more and never say a thing. She is not allowed to say a thing about her agreement. She can go at Melissa all she wants, but she will be edited to look bad, but she will ride it all the way to the bank. Because behind the cameras, it doesn’t matter, they hate each other, Teresa and her family have known the truth for a long time about Melissa, and that is why the family is divided. But Melissa now getting on the show, well, I think when Teresa was not sure if she would sign on, they must have gone to her and said, we are editing it to make you look bad, we need the viewers, we will pay you much more money. It’s a business deal, plain and simple. However, when they film, it’s still a real issue, so Teresa gets upset and angry and that is all truth, they film a lot of situations, but then they also get the others to talk about Teresa. Remember S1, it was Danielle. Everyone wins. Andy doesn’t like Teresa, but I’m sure he never told her to her face, we can figure it out, but he wins, because he’ll pay her more to allow the editing, and set ups, she wins because she gets the money which she sorely needs, and I’m sure they helped her get her little empire going, and Andy wins, because everyone tunes into his show to watch what unfolds. They have more advertisers on these shows, have you noticed. There are several minutes of ADs. They are making money on this drama. I think it’s possible that Teresa has this other contract with the network. And you know what, she gets publicity, even if it’s bad, it is still covers, talk shows, etc. She is riding that wave, though tough and stressful, to the bank. We’ll never know because if this is true, that she may have this other deal, and she talks, she will be sued and be back in Bankruptcy for the money she will have to pay back. Teresa maybe a little ditzy, and clueless, but she’s no dummy about the money now that she’d been in the hole. Just a thought. It makes sense to me, because why would she settle for being set up by Bravo for the amount of money she gets, it’s not millions of dollars, I would have walked away once my little empire got going.
I don’t think she can “walk away”, think she is under contract through next season. Besides, she & Joe were on the hook for over 10 million dollars, not including lawyer fees, or their own substantial household expenses. Then there’s the platform she would be losing for her products, the fame and the feeling that by walking away, the Gorgas, Manzos, et al, would be the last men standing.
I believe Teresa knows all the dirt on Melissa. I also believe that she has wanted to protect her brother and the Gorga name. I’ll have to wait and see how Season 5 goes down to say if she’s finally had enough and doesn’t give a damn anymore about protecting anyone.
I agree Jeannie! It never occurred to me that they might film the hearing or trial. I assumed they would film the reaction/fallout from it but this opens the door to so much more. Do you think if Joe does have to go away that Joey will try to swoop in and play the savior? Joey considers Joe the reason for his bad relationship with his parents and sister and this could be the foot in the door he needs.
This thought just opens my mind up to a million what ifs. Imagine Juicy goes away and Joey gets the proof he needs that Mel cheated and runs to his sister. Well maybe that’s a stretch – I don’t think Joey cares if Mel cheated.
I’m not so sure they ever wanted Teresa to walk away. She’s the highest paid housewife, by far, on the show. As far as JoeGo and Sizzletan… it comes down to him being a famewhore. Did you see the billboard? It probably excites him as much as Melissa in her red bikini.

I’ve watched M.Matchmaker (like all things BRAVO at one time or another/bit of Marathon – just din’t hold my interest/not a fan. I remember thinking that Patti is strangely a lot like Tori Spelling…it’s a certain ethnic look that both should have been proud of, but have spent zillions destroying the basic shapes of their respective faces with really altering surgery that I think has been disastrous. AND…..lol….altho’ I’m not a fan, not only wasn’t I offended by Patti’s remarks about gay men on monogamy and “queeeniness,” I actually kind of agreed when I read of the outrage. It’s her opinion, based on her life experiences, I’m sure. (I’m not familiar with the comments she made about Jewish men/smart women.) In the context of the dance class setting, and all things considered, I wasn’t offended by Joe Giudice’s “gay slur” comment either. ANNNNND….lol…….since I seem to be listing the things I haven’t been offended by, I don’t even mind Patti’s “advice” to Teresa………….
What I AM offended by, as mentioned, is the timing of the advice and the single-minded and orchestrated persecution of Teresa (and Joe…and their Family…!) I loved Tre’s response and I think business Girl that she is, realizes as long as they’re talking – any publicity is good publicity. The total silence – hypocrisy – regarding the rest of the Cast is what is offensive and infuriating!
I think many are bothered that Andy allowed Patti to say what she thought about gays and not once became defensive w/ her remarks/outlook on gay men but when Joe Guiduice makes a gay remark/slur on gays he quick to jump down him and Teresa’s throats. Not just that but people in New Jersey don’t hold their tongues. They say f*ggot, queers, c*nt… You name it. Normally when they call someone “f*ggot” it’s towards people that aren’t gay. Believe it or, not buy people in the south like in Alabama and states like that they say the word “f*ggot” all the time. My uncle came to visit about 3 months ago and was so freely with that word. My mom and I was like “Stop using that word.” He’s like people get offended with that word? We were like “Hell yes! We live in Dallas! There is nothing country about Dallas!” Haha! Plus, we have cousins who are gay so we were trying to inform him that people find that word very offensive. Andy is a self made bitch (excuse my French). There is not form of fairness when it comes to that clown. He is so vindictive and sneaky. It bothers me because Teresa is going to look like the bad guy again this season. Brian is the only guy that holds the key when it comes to really exposing Melissa. There is not doubt in my mind that he is going to watch this season and make note of ALL the lies Melissa is saying and he is not only going to expose her but have evidence. Melissa’s clock is quickly ticking!
My bad! Joe made gay remarks towards men who weren’t gay. I think he made one joke on Greg which Greg deserved for instigating and meddling in business that doesn’t include him but other than that–Andy is making a mountain out of an anthill and he has minions doing ALL his dirty work. Andy I’m sure you like balls in your mouth so how about you get a pair of your own and be a MAN and just admit you don’t like Teresa and Joe instead, of having people bully on them doing YOUR dirty work, coward! The only reason why Anderson Cooper does Andy’s dirty work because he’s gay, Wendy Williams does it because she’s a transvestite, Kelly Ripa does it because she has no brain and, Kathy Griffin does it to keep a show because in all honesty she’s not funny and she looks like Andy Dick w/ a wig. Just from watching the show you can tell that she still loves him a lot. All the other NY wives are a bit snobby but knowing the background that Carol has she is probably the only one that should be a snob but, thankfully she isn’t one.
I am older and single and I can tell you this- You don’t find love with a match maker who has never been married. I am close to her age and would never in a million years look to Patti for a match up. Why? She has no experience at life and marriage. Like I have said a million times why take a poor man to lunch if you want to be rich. What gets me so worked up is she doesn’t have a clue what it takes to have a long lasting marriage. Her ignorance and yes I did say ignorance is so obvious to me that I find myself in awe. Why in the world would anyone go to her for marriage endeavors???? She is not married! True. I used to watch, but now I’m asleep. If Teresa or Brandi, or Lisa, were on, I’d try to catch them. I read his book, and I have to say, it was funny; and I related to much of his past experiences with TV show, people, etc. as we are about the same age. The next round of people coming out of the woodwork bashing Teresa and her marriage will probably be Monday, February 25, 2013 when Joe Giudice is required to appear in court for a hearing to set the date for trial on several criminal charges, stemming from allegedly trying to obtain a fake driver’s license.
Teresa, of course, will stand by her husband. Pity her brother is not there for her to lean on and help her through a very difficult time.

We take interest in a television show and enjoy talking about it with fellow viewers. Half the fun is in rooting for one side against the villian. I think “Miss messy” is trying to divert attention off of “Melissa” – the style of writing is very familiar; aka someone in the Marco camp. Very obvious.

I totally agree w/ all of these assessments!! About “Miss Messy” last fall upon searching facebook “fanpages” of the housewives,I went to one for Melissa and it was very clear that she ran the page in 2012 (referred to herself and family directly,posted private pics the whole shabang…) but when I scrolled to the beginning of page(which is so easy now bc it it categorized neatly by year) it was so (super duper) obvious that in 2010? (or whenever it began) it was written in third person AS IF a fan was writing/running the page. Pathetic. Funny,but mostly pathetic. I am sure this is an “old industry trick” but when I was reading it in living color (so to speak) it just all oozed of desperation. Luckily for Teresa there is karma.
I think Catface shaped up her act bc she could NOT continue the”bitter ginger” act AND sell “I have great advice for you” books (and also,many of us know they were all just ganging up on the Giudices!) I just revisited the reunion and the bias Andy shows is incredible. At no point did he actually attempt to protect Teresa is the onslaught. Unfortunately, Joe Guidice gave them ammo for their agenda on a silver platter. I do believe he was on the phone with another woman but that’s only an opinion and not a fact. Even so, it is not for anyone else to say whether Teresa should or shouldn’t leave him. I stayed with my ex because of HIS kids until they were in their 20s and even then I wouldn’t have left if it wasn’t for a straw that broke the camel’s back (trust me, if kids weren’t involved I wouldn’t have stayed as long as I did. Long, complicated story, won’t bore any of you with). Once you have children, or even involve children, it’s not what’s right for only YOU any longer. However, if the problem was my ex cheating on me, that would have been it for ME. I know plenty of couples who one or the other cheated and they worked it out. I would have NEVER told a friend of mine to leave. I would always say, “it’s up to you,” how do YOU feel about it. I can’t even imagine telling my friend “leave you husband.” (Unless, of course, there was abuse involved.) And to put that kind of comment out there for the world to hear is just wrong.

That does not mean Joe Guidice has not strayed but why hasn’t a friend or the other party involved come forward by now? The Gorgas have been on the show far less and the infidelity rumors with great detail started the first season they appeared on RHONJ. Teresa readily acknowledges that their marriage isn’t perfect and that is proof to me that she has always been reluctant to spill what she knows about baby brother. She nows how difficult marriage can be. Like you, I would never advise anyone to leave a marriage for any reason. Infidelity has always been a deal breaker for me. Marrying someone for material, monetary reasons is a betrayal of trust , it means the entire marriage is built not on love but a lie. JMO Joey Marco nee’ Gorga has to know that infideity isn’t difficult for someone like Melissa who has no compunction about marrying him for his apparent wealth. He knows he bought a wife and that when Melissa became comfortable materially and the new wore off the marriage she would look for new and novel ways to have everything she wants. Bryan was suddenly unobtainable and out of reach just as money and stability once were so MeGo went running back.
Teresa said that she didn’t want Bravo to film that phone call so that kinda says that there’s at least some truth to it. Of course I believe she was talking about the names he called her. I used to watch MM all of the time as it was so comical and you KNEW it was scripted. I mean seriously, what millionaire in their right minds are going to go to Patti on TV and pay her to yell at them. Seriously, it was a joke, but it was funny at times until it got old and too over the top. Similar to Tabitha, it was fun at first but you knew it was not real (though I do think Tabitha was a bit closer to reality) and the yelling and recycled story lines got old quick.

To be frank you pay for critique and instruction but never demeaning comments. If it isn’t constructive the athlete or dancer will not improve , especially with potty mouth stream of consciousness filth. Mean only creates more meanness. Both girls had wonderful relationships with their instructors and that’s important because of the incredible time commitment. Abby is not a role model I would ever choose for a loved one or friend. I applaud the desire to compete and win but not if those are the methods . At the end of the day you need to be more than a dancer or an athlete a child needs to be a ind human being. Abby Lee is a monster with an ego as big as her fat can.
