Dina Manzo (Who Just Landed an Acting Role) Announces She is Getting Divorced
On February 1, 2013, Dina Manzo announced on Twitter that she and Tommy, her husband of seven years (and Albert Manzo’s brother), are getting divorced:
My secret…I have been separated since October, my heart hurts but Tommy & I will always share a very special love. So grateful for the support of my loved ones during this time, especially my spiritual friends. You know who u are xoxo. And of course my biggest supporter Lexi, Tommy adores her & they will remain close.
Albert and Tommy co-own The Brownstone in Paterson, NJ.
Tommy and Dina’s wedding was featured on VH1′s ‘My Big Fabulous Wedding’ in 2007 (video here).

Dina Manzo is making the leap from reality to scripted.
The former castmember on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey and star of HGTV’s Dina’s Party has landed a role on a new series that portrays the behind-the-scenes on daily soap operas called Tainted Dreams.
Created by Emmy-winning director and soap opera veteran Sonia Blangiardo (General Hospital, As the World Turns, All My Children, One Life to Live), the new dramedy casts Manzo as Allessandra DiGiacomo.
Her character is described as a “smart and successful New York City corporate CEO whose younger gay brother [played by My Big Gay Italian Wedding's Anthony Wilkinson] will face unexpected circumstances due to his sexuality.”
“Coming from a large Italian family, I was immediately drawn to the character of Alessandra’s family dynamic,” Manzo says in a statement.
Regarding the casting, Blangiardo says, “I created the role of Alessandra with Dina Manzo in mind, and we are thrilled to have her join our cast. Her constant support of the gay community and her talent makes her the perfect choice for this series.”
The director created Tainted Dreams after the last of the NYC-based soap operas, One Life to Live, shut down production in November of last year.
“I was struck by the loss of this unique art form that had been such an integral part of NYC for decades. I wanted to somehow capture my own two decades working behind the scenes of three different NYC-based soaps,” Blangiardo explains.
“As a long-time fan of One Life to Live, I am excited to be part of a project centered around the rich, proud heritage of NYC-based daytime drama,” Manzo adds.

“Teresa is not going to take any sh*t from her family members! She felt like everyone ganged up on her last season and she has been dishing it out herself so far this season,” the source shares.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Teresa and Joe fought with each other, yet again, at Kim D’s recent jewelry party, but the source vows that was just a taste of what’s ahead!

RadarOnline reported (see story below) that the argument between Teresa and Joe Gorga at Kim D’s jewelry party on January 18, 2013, was over Teresa not visiting her brother during his brief stay in the hospital for the flu beginning on January 10, 2013 — he must have recovered quickly because he was photographed dining out with Melissa on January 15, 2013. Joe needs to remember that he is an adult with a wife and children, and that his sister, who has a career, husband and four young children of her own, is not his keeper… and their elderly father was in the hospital at the time with a much more serious illness, and that was her priority. Joe Gorga needs to stop being such a baby — he should be more concerned that his wife’s biggest focus during the first day of his hospital stay was her amazing blowout:

Teresa Giudice is starting the new season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey exactly the same way she ended the last one – yelling and fighting with her brother Joe Gorga, and RadarOnline.com has all the exclusive details on what sparked the most recent round of fighting.
The fiery reality TV star was helping her friend Kim DePaola promote her jewelry line recently when the latest altercation occurred and within seconds the siblings were at each other’s throats!
Apparently trouble started after Kim D’s assistant Maria Sancilio attempted to get Joe, who is married to Teresa’s long-time adversary, Melissa Gorga, to kiss and make-up with his sister.
“That’s your only sister, make peace,” Maria told Joe, Fox News Correspondent Tom Murro exclusively tells RadarOnline.com.
“Shut up and get the f**k out of here,” Joe screamed back, before promptly getting in to the bitter battle with Teresa.
“Why didn’t you call me? I was in the hospital?” he screamed at his sister, who quickly snapped back, “Why didn’t your wife tell me?”
That set Joe off, and he tore into Teresa, slamming her for “always bringing my wife up!”
In true Giudice style, all the drama was caught on camera, including Joe storming out of the party after his sibling screaming match ended.
Meanwhile, Kim D, who is solidly Team Teresa, explained why she is so loyal to her friend.
“I owe a lot of the success of my store, Posche, to Teresa, and of course Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline Manzo have also been very supportive,” she told Murro. “I think Teresa is a phenomenal friend and extremely supportive and very influential in getting me on the show.”
Kim D went on to explain why she gives so much credit to Teresa for the popularity of her jewelry, saying that Giudice helped dramatically increase awareness of the brand by wearing it in public, especially the Couture Cuff, which is Teresa’s favorite item from the fashionable line.

I love how someone keeps running to Radar Online with all these stories about Teresa. Who has a friend at Radar? Why Jacko is good friends with Tom Murro a writer for Radar Online along with other media sites.
The information about Teresa and Juicy is just something that Teresa said in Season 1. Why is someone bringing it up now? No doubt someone will claim that Teresa is trying to copy her. NOT!
Personally, I think that Teresa and Jennifer are good friends. I have a feeling that the whole pictures with lookers is more having to due with S5 and real estate. Jennifer is a real estate agent and Lookers home is on the market so it would be natural for her to show the home to a client or for Bravo to film her showing the home.

I just read about this on AATRH. I’m sorry to read this but I can’t say I’m surprised. It kinda seemed liked to me( at least) they lead 2 totally different lives.
I have a feeling they both tried to keep this as private as the could, according to her they have been separted since October. Thats keeping it really quiet. I think someone( CrackerJac) probably leaked this to Tom Murro ( her bestie) and it was gonna hit the gossip sites soon, and that is why Dina came out on twitter with this..Just a feeling.
As far as this Jennifer Dalton, I really do not care if she is ” friendly”‘ with Melissa or Kathy , as long as she stays out of Teresa and their family issues, and doesn’t play both sides.

I am so sad to see this! When any marriage becomes fractured there usually are many different reasons that lead to a separation/divorce. I wonder if the rift between Dina and other members of the family would have had an impact on this. With Al and Tommy being brothers, and Dina and Caroline not speaking, there had to be some strain. I am sure it is NOT the only reason but it may have contributed.
Dina is a class act and I wish her strength to get through this tough and emotional time.
I was thinking the same exact thing Jeannie. I can just picture Caroline making Al badger Tommy to try and get Dina back in line. The strain certainly could not have helped matters. I feel very sorry for Dina but I think she should kick the whole lot of them right to the curb.

I’m not surprised. I think the marriage was doomed from the start with him admitting that he cheated on her. He didn’t seem very supportive either. I could be wrong but that’s just the impression I got. Honestly, I think she’s better off without him and can find someone better for her. Season 5 is filming now and will continue to through March. I wonder how the cast members and Melissa and Joe are going to respond, if at all, to each other about Melissa’s past while filming. Now that Bryan has arrived and has a story to tell, will any of the cast take a step back from Melissa because they don’t want the association any more? Sooner or later, Bryan will tell his story – and once that story is completely revealed, I would think the others, especially the newer cast members, (with the exception of Kim D. and Penny) would not want to be tied to her or Joey. I would think they wouldn’t want to be a part of the negativity that is beginning to surround Melissa and will get worse if Bryan tells what he knows. Is this going to change the direction of the show? Will it have any impact on what is remaining to be filmed?
I am really wondering what Teresa is thinking about all this – while her parents are probably unaware of what we have learned about Bryan these last few weeks, if he does disclose what he knows about Melissa, that is probably going to upset Teresa’s parents even more about their daughter-in-law.. I imagine she is probably a bit concerned about this herself.
If Bryan waits untl S5 is done airing, the storyline will probably not change but it will look ridiculous because we all know now about Bryan. If he comes out before S5 airs, it could possibly cause quite a bit of commotion in Bravo’s editing room on how they could possibly spin or save any of the existing storylines. Who knows – maybe it could become the season where Melissa’s past is alluded to and Season 6 will be when all her skeletons comes out. Doubt it though because I don’t think she will agree to film again if she fears that her past will be revealed on TV for all to see.
This, of course, is all just speculation on my part but it is going very interesting to see how this all unfolds.

Having revisited last season, it’s so obvious that Melissa takes every situation and bends it just enough to make Teresa look bad. For example the text after the Wakile pool party showdown where Joe abuses Teresa. In one of the next clips, he has to get on film that he sent an apology text, then in the kitchen with the Manzo/Laurtia brains trust she brings it up and alludes that he sent it sooner than even he suggests he did. She misconstrues conversations – she’s a walking game of Chinese whispers. I never saw her retell a story with accuracy. It’s got to be a pathological thing. I couldn’t sleep properly if I had taken someone’s words out of context and shared the wrong information – particularly as we know Teresa doesn’t articulate herself well – but we also all know Missy uses that to her advantage. The poor little Wench like me just wont eggmit it because she’s has ethnics.
There’s no doubt Melissa was cheating on Joey with Bryan after they were married. I caught some tweets between Bryan and Johnny the Greek. He said something like… it’s a good thing you got rid of her 10 years ago… no 7 years… no 5 years. And Bryan said hahaha that’s a good way to put it. I don’t know exactly what their words were… (I guess I could go look again)… but regardless… what I wrote is the same point they were making.

Regardless of how Bravo spins Season 5, there is no doubt Melissa has already been exposed as the liar she is. I visit most of the blogs and the support Melissa once had has dwindled and is almost non existent. They story is the same, “she lies”. On Sunday’s, in my area several months ago, back to back reruns were being played. When watching these episodes back to back it is much easier to catch Melissa’s lies.
It appears Bravo has invested all in Melissa, to make her the star.

Chris Stark said that NJ was going to come on in the Fall, well Fredo said on twiiter it’s coming on in May. Anyway I do beleive it will air in May/ June, it has since the show has come on the air.

As you and others have said, I hope Teresa doesn’t take the bait of whatever Bravo tries to feed her. And I believe she will do everything she can to protect her parents. Her brother obviously doesn’t give a damn about them. Unfortunately for Teresa though, that may mean she will have to do damage control and take the shade off Melissa in order to save her parents from further embarrassment. Hope I am wrong.
I’m curious as to whats this season is going to bring. I just hope Teresa steers clear of any nastiness, she knows by now how Bravo works.
I mentioned that I believe NJ would come on in the spring at the time Stark was saying the fall. Just didn’t make sense. BH, Miami and Atlanta just aired or are airing now. That leaves NY, NJ and OC. OC usually comes on around this time and NY usually around March. They wouldn’t leave a gap with no housewives show airing. It just didn’t make sense to me.

If Bravo Andy has any ideas that Melissa will be the next Bettheny he has lost his marbles. I wonder this because of the book coming out and all the hub bub about her “wonderful” marriage. MeHo is a publicist nightmare with her rancid past (which would not even be a big deal if she didn’t lie) and all the inconsistencies and lies catching up with her. Also, the horrible things she and her meanie cronies say and post on twitter. Well, let’s not forget destroying her hubby’s family for fame. I could go on and on, but we all know the narcissist and manipulative BS MeHo has done.
I agree with Jeannie, it will be very interesting to see if Bravo changes course due to the new developments with Bryan @bulldog. It would be rather naive on their part to think they could continue on with the wonderful Gorgas and meanie Guidice theme with all that has been revealed.
PS I don’t know how long Fame has been blogging on this site, but I started reading last season and I am finding the off season very interesting and entertaining. I will be a much more intelligent viewer once RHONJ airs.
I wish every NJ fan would read this site. There are going to be some die hard Melissa fans because they hate Teresa. It comes with the territory. But from the start I believe Melissa thought she would have many more fans than she does.
I go to several sites and I can see the tides are turning. Yes, there are some who clearly don’t like Teresa, but many of those same posters don’t like Melissa either. When the story of her book deal came out, I read most of the articles and the comments. Here is one from Reality Tea, which was once so anti Teresa and pro all other housewives.

I haven’t seen too many pictures of those two together. I know there is still a “battle” between Posche Boutique and the Posh store that both Melissa and Kathy promote heavily on their TL. Melissa’s promotion of that other Posh store is what set Kim D. off. Maybe they’ve called a truce. If that is so, it is amazing how both Melissa and Jacqueline can both be on friendly terms with Kim D. and still have such hatred and animosity towards Teresa. Well, we know the reason why – they are not jealous of Kim D.’s success but they sure are of Teresa’s.

Just watched the video of Dina and Tommy – how sad. That was such a happy day for them both – you can see it in their faces. I’ll be married 39 years this year. A ritual I have with my husband every anniversary is to pour ourselves a drink in the glasses we drank out of on our wedding day. And then we look at all of our wedding pictures and watch the home movie of that special day (converted to VHS – we still have a VCR just so we can play that tape – the quality is not great and we were told to convert it to DVD would make it even worse!). Through the years it has been bittersweet to watch at times – many people have come and gone in our lives but on a much brighter note, the family has grown in size and richer in memories. Every marriage has its mountains and its valleys – and it helps to keep the reason why we got married in the first place in perspective.
When a marriage doesn’t work out, for whatever reason, it is heartbreaking for those involved. I wish both Dina and Tommy the dignity of privacy while going through this difficult time.

Just a little advice to live by, never repeat the same mistake over and over again and expect a different result. If indeed you know and were friends with Melissa, share your story. No one needs to ask you questions.

In addition to sharing our opinions of the real housewives, we also share little bits and pieces of our lives. One of the reasons we have all gathered here is because we did not like the way Bravo tried to fool us with their editing.

I am not surprised, just a gut intuition. Dina’s career really took off, and in TV that can make or break you, especially if your partner is very, very private. Dina is very talented, in my view, as a designer and also focused on her Project Ladybug. The woman is a pure entrepreneur. But, this is the surface of what we may all surmise, who knows what the real reasons are except those two, and it’s none of our biz. I just want to see Dina take off with more interior decor/party planning HGTV-type shows!
