Teresa Giudice Should Have Thrown Melissa Gorga's Words Right Back at Her

Throughout the airing of season 4, Melissa waited for Teresa to publish her Bravo blog for each episode before she would publish her own. Teresa needs to do that to Melissa during the airing of season 5, and then take Melissa’s words and throw them right back at her.

The following are highlights, in chronological order, taken from Melissa Gorga’s season 4 Bravo blogs, and altered as if Teresa wrote them. In red are the words I added so that the sentence would appear to have been written by Teresa; Melissa’s words with the strikethrough should be ignored when reading the quotes — I left them in so you could go back and read what Melissa actually wrote.

When I talk it out and forgive and let something go, I truly mean it.

I was done with all the petty games and nonsense, and Teresa Melissa said she was too. So with that in mind, yes, I was a little confused when the cookbook came out and she threw a dig at me. I was a little taken aback, because I thought we decided not to go down that road, but I decided to let this pass and not make a big deal of it.

It does make me think maybe Teresa Melissa had no intention of moving on and was just being nice for the cameras.

As the season goes on, you see how we did let it go and decided to move forward and keep trying to just enjoy being together and have his sister and her family my brother and his family in our life.

I was trying to put the issues between Teresa Melissa and I behind us, as I thought we both agreed to do, but I started to realize and now can definitely say after watching these past few episodes and reading her blogs that’s not at all what Teresa Melissa was trying to do.

I feel like Teresa Melissa is constantly looking for any reason she can to say I’m a bad wife sister, SIL, aunt, mother and friend. I honestly can’t help but feel that she is projecting the issues in her life onto mine. Does she think that if my marriage goes badly hers will get better?

Does she think that if she puts the negative attention on me then it will not be on her?

Teresa Melissa obviously hasn’t learned her lesson because in last week’s blog she continues to talk about the rumors she hears about my marriage.

She won’t let up and I don’t know how she can look at herself in the mirror at this point.

We are all trying really hard to move past the spot we are at and start enjoying each other.

Remember, when these episodes were shot last summer, I was trying to move on from the horrible place Teresa Melissa and I had been.

Regardless of what Teresa Melissa says about our relationship before RHONJ, there was a time that BOTH of us were being very vindictive to each other. I won’t deny that, but since joining she joined the show, I haven’t taken opportunities to throw her troubles in her face.

Teresa Melissa holds grudges like no other, and I can’t control that. She has to decide her family is important enough to her and let it go.

What’s starting to confuse me now is that you will start to see some pretty amazing times between me and Teresa Melissa.

What you will see if you pay attention is that Teresa Melissa is trying to take me down every chance she gets.

I am trying to move on, but quite honestly she is making it impossible.

I’m a smart girl and I can figure out why she is doing this. Teresa Melissa likes to be the center of attention. Be beneath her or get the hell out of her way.

This is what life is about, being with your closest friends and family.

I know I’m never going to get her to totally change the way she treats me, but as long as she backs off my marriage and my brother’s relationship with his side of the family, we can do this.

I’m going to give her the chance to prove it.

I’m going to be optimistic and put my all into the relationship. I really do want it to work. I feel like we are both only I am really going to try and fix this.

I think it is very obvious that I have never been the problem here. She makes me the problem and she constantly blames me for everything. I guess she doesn’t want the world to think that it’s her and her family or her relationship with her brother who are trying to turn my brother and my friends against me that is failing.

It was great to see Teresa and Joe Joe and I getting along at the party. See how easy it is without Melissa’s interference? Just enjoying each other! And then Melissa had to take another dig I loved being able to play with Teresa about the sprinkle cookies!

I just want a happy, normal relationship with her so that we can get our families together. Is that so hard? It’s not for me!

I’m happy Teresa Melissa is getting to the point where she is realizing that life is too short to worry about the petty things. I hope she is going to start having a more positive attitude about my marriage, my career music, and my kids, and just stop overanalyzing me and everything I do. It must be draining for her to worry about me all day and worry about how we are living our life.

I would never do anything to sabotage this good thing we have going. So as long as Teresa Melissa doesn’t, I don’t see how anything could ever go wrong again. Does it stay like that? Well you will have to keep watching and see.

It definitely bothered me when she said I lip synced at my release party. I never she questioned her my cooking and said she I NEVER would. That is her my business and livelihood, what kind of person would I be is she to try if I tried to make people not believe in her me?

Melissa wrote in her blog that when we do Sunday pasta at Teresa’s my house, my mother-in-law cooks — how can she not so I don’t understand what the big deal is telling lies like that?

The California trip was amazing, and you haven’t seen anything yet. The best stuff is still coming! We had so much fun on that trip. I can honestly tell you from the bottom of my heart that I loved every single minute of it. I’m glad Teresa and Jacqueline and I talked. I can’t help but sometimes feel like if Teresa Melissa says she’s wearing black, then she’s definitely wearing white. It’s just my gut feeling, but I’m putting all this aside for the sake of the family and just really enjoying her and Joe’s company. I She can see that my husband my brother is happy and that she is I am too, so that’s all that really matters. To hell with my gut! Right? I can’t believe this all took place a year ago.

It is clear that Caroline does not have to deal with Teresa Melissa. She is not her family, and luckily she can walk away. Caroline is not a fake person and she tells you exactly how she feels you should think. It’s very obvious how she feels about Teresa Melissa and why she feels that way. I will say I got a sick feeling in my stomach when Caroline lied and said she’s been in the car with Teresa me and heard Teresa me bashing Joe and me my brother and Melissa to her my mother. Joe and I suffers all the time because of the wall Teresa Melissa tries to put up between us his parents. When they Joe and Melissa are upset for no reason at all, my kids my parents don’t get to see their only grandfather other grandchildren. Teresa Melissa lied and tried to poison everyone’s minds against us me, but why his own parents including my own brother and my friend of more than 10 years. It takes a person with a very, very small conscience to do that.

The sooner she stops trying to hurt other people, the sooner her own life will get better.

It’s not fair to do these things and lie to all of us constantly.

It is now clear that she tried to poison all the ladies’ and the public’s minds against Kathy and me and got them to feel sorry for her. I really feel that I Melissa tried to help Teresa cause problems for me. I knew She was having causing problems with me and the other ladies, and I jumped in and tried to help make things worse. I She also tried to make all the problems between her for me and her my brother go away.

We made a promise to move forward, and that’s exactly what I did. You will soon see that wasn’t the case for Teresa Melissa.

The next two episodes are really telling and you will understand why we are all at the place we are today.

First, I find it hard to believe that Teresa Melissa knows I didn’t just so happened to go to a random hair salon to get her my hair and makeup done before going to the Posche Fashion Show. Second, she knows Bravo setup the salon with has a creepy PR manager that greets them to greet us and hands out champagne to their “housewife customers” and just so happened because he to worked as a manager at a gentleman’s club. And So now the creepy PR manger was told by Bravo decides to tell Teresa me I Melissa used to dance for him. For a second she I actually looks was confused, I think she forgot which face she was going to use, then in typical Teresa ah ha fashion she remembered and went with it. Watching the episode at this point I’m now chuckling furious that Melissa still blames me for the setup. Are they serious? This is the worst acting I have ever seen. They know I can’t act.

I was feeling really genuine about my relationship with Teresa Melissa, and I never in a million years thought I was going to get ambushed the way I did. I was completely taken off guard.

I remember when Teresa I got offered the show. I told her to go for it. I said take the opportunity. Melissa If I had been was extremely jealous I wouldn’t have told her to go for it. I thought knew this would help make her feel like she I always”wins” — and I knew that Melissa would be angry since she thinks she should be the only one in the spotlight. Now that she’s on the show, I thought hoped she would feel more secure now and stop coming at me so we could just be a family. I was so wrong about that. It just got worse. Whatever little “need to be the best” bug that was inside of her was biting her harder. It started to become out of control.

Do I still think Teresa Melissa really believes I set her up setup me up? Yes. No.

Then Kim D comes to the reunion and admits I didn’t know what the setup was — and that I only knew, like everyone else, that Melissa was going to be the target. Teresa knew it was a set up for me.

‘Real Housewives of NJ’s’ Melissa Gorga addresses sister-in-law Teresa’s statements

Ever since the moment now ex-housewife Danielle Staub referred to Teresa Giudice’s sister-in-law on the Season 2 reunion of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” [which premiered on August 30, 2010—Joe and Melissa Gorga signed contracts for season 3 the following week], the fans and the media have been interested in who this woman is.

“I remember that summer weekend was really crazy,” Melissa Gorga tells Zap2it. “I was in all the magazines for this and that and I was sitting out by my pool reading all about myself and I couldn’t figure out how this all happened. It was a little surreal.”

Well, the world is about to meet Melissa when the series returns to Bravo with probably its craziest premiere episode we’ve ever seen on Monday (May 16), because along with Teresa’s cousin, Kathy Wakile, Melissa is now an official housewife.

Zap2it spoke to Melissa about how the attention became focused on her and she responds to several things Teresa has said in the media about her.

So, it’s true, right? The first time the viewing audience heard about you was when Danielle Staub mentioned that Teresa had not visited your son in the hospital after he was born.

Yes, that was my son she was speaking about. I have no idea how she got that information or how she knew that, but that was my son she was talking about. I’ve never met Danielle. Yeah, so I guess that was when the world was introduced to the fact that Teresa even had a brother and sister-in-law.

What truth was there in what Danielle was accusing Teresa of?

I don’t even remember the exact words she said. The truth of it is that Teresa did come to the hospital. She did stay for about 20 minutes. I must have told my friends or something that the situation was she came, she didn’t even look at the baby, she didn’t pick up the baby, she just talked about herself on ‘Regis & Kelly’ the whole time and somehow that turned into the story that got passed on to Danielle. And I didn’t mean for that to happen and I’m assuming that’s what she was talking about. I don’t know for sure, but I’m assuming that’s what she’s talking about.

Did you feel horrible when Danielle used that against Teresa?

Yeah, you know I didn’t want [the story of my] son to get all blown up and especially that season reunion was a little bit crazy. So, I didn’t want my son being mentioned at all. I didn’t really understand it, but it happened. And I guess people started to figure out, because I had just had a baby who she was talking about.

Did the real media circus around you start with the reunion or did it begin when rumors of you joining the cast began circulating?

You know it was both. They had by then already contacted me. When that aired, the show had already contacted me. When that reunion aired, I was still making the decision whether or not I wanted to do the show or not. So, I think it was a little of both.

Recently, Teresa said she had to find out from Bravo about you joining the show and no one from the family thought to tell her. How true is that?

I get a call on a Friday that they wanted me and this, that and the other thing. And I hadn’t made my decision. She had called me by Sunday screaming and yelling and threatening me that I should never do the show. And I hadn’t even had the chance to call her if I wanted to. I was still trying to make the decision in my mind whether it was something that I wanted to do. And to be perfectly honest with you, Teresa and I weren’t speaking at the time, so it wasn’t something that I would call her and say, ‘Hey, what should I do here? Should I do this?’ No, we weren’t even speaking at the time. So, my mentality was things can’t get any worse. You know, she’s done a lot to us and it wasn’t something where I was going to go to her and let her make that decision in my life, because that’s a huge decision to make and it’s a huge opportunity. So, just because Teresa was stomping her feet doesn’t mean I was going to turn it down.

Why do you think Teresa didn’t want you on the show?

I don’t know, a lot of reasons. It is her younger brother and her younger brother is very successful and we have an incredible marriage. We are a bit of a younger version of whatever you’re seeing with her. Teresa’s not big on family. She never hangs with family that much. She’s more of a friend person. She likes people who don’t really know the real truth. She likes people who don’t know the whole background and where she’s been, what she’s come from. And I think it was a little bit of a threat to her to have someone come on and who knows the whole story and knows the whole background and I don’t think she likes that.

Teresa has also told the press that she tried to get along with you after you married her brother, but that you were cold to her. What’s your take on that?

I have both sisters down The Shore and she was going to be the only sister that I had. And I really did want a relationship with her. And I feel we did try in the beginning. And she did try. But little by little, the things she would say, the way that she was was very different from the way that I was and we started to bump heads. And as Joey and I started to become more successful, I think she started to change and her personality toward me started to change. And she looked at me as a competitor instead of a sister-in-law and that’s when things just started to go downhill and all of that was just bizarre to me, because I have none of that going on in my family. And I have two older sisters and cousins everywhere, so I’m not used to that. It took me for a loop. And every time she spoke my jaw would drop. I couldn’t believe the words that were coming out of her mouth. So, it’s kinda hard for me. It was a really hard time. I think we’ve all come to a place now where we’ve accepted it. It’s not happening. It’s just never going to happen, so we just kind of gave up. But, you will start to see us try to mend fences and try to fix it.

The following is a partial transcript [full transcript here] of the blowup after Angelo, Melissa’s former boss at Lookers, left the Posche Fashion Show on September 27, 2011 (this was part of the season 4 finale which aired one year later, in September 2012).

Jacqueline: You know what? That was a setup.

Melissa: I know it was but Teresa should have said absolutely not, I’m not going to approach my SIL.

Jacqueline: I think it was a setup. That’s what I’m saying.

Melissa: I know it was but she shouldn’t have went along with it.

Jacqueline: Well, I think she’s the one that set it up.

Melissa: Right.

Jacqueline: Now that’s sort of annoying me right now.

Melissa: I agree, she set it up. I know she did.

Jacqueline: Because I heard something.

Melissa to Joe: Teresa set me up.

Melissa to Teresa: I overhead that you set me up purposely now.

Teresa: From who? Are you kidding me, from who?

Melissa: I don’t like to talk in front of people.

Teresa: Then don’t say that. If you don’t like to talk about it in front of people, then why did you just say that, right now?

Melissa: Because that’s what we just heard.

Teresa: From who?

Melissa: I can’t say.

Melissa to Joe: Joe, it was your sister!

Joe: What!? Who?

Melissa: Your sister.

Caroline to Joe: Where’s your sister?

Melissa: She’s hiding somewhere. She stirs the pot to get you going (to Caroline)… it’s crazy! Teresa’s hiding somewhere and smiling in the back!

Melissa: Yell out the window ‘Shame on you’ to your sister. Just do it. Say ‘Shame on you!’ Say ‘Shame!’

Teresa to Joe: Joe, he [Angelo] came to the fashion show. I didn’t know he was coming to the fashion show!

Melissa: You don’t ask me if I’m a dancer. That’s disgusting!

Teresa: I didn’t ask you! [Bravo told her to approach Melissa in the bathroom and say, "He said you used to dance for him"]

Teresa to Jacqueline: Did you just tell her that I sold her out?

Jacqueline: I had a friend texting me the whole conversation, that guy saying he was going to embarrass her and that he was purposely setting her up.

Teresa: What guy?

Jacqueline: The guy that said that about her.

Teresa: OK, I never met this guy in my entire life!

Jacqueline: He said you did and he said you saw him in the salon today or something like that.

Teresa: Yeah! That’s the first time I ever saw the guy

Teresa: So why did you go tell my SIL that I set her up when I had NOTHING to do with it WHAT SO EVER!

Jacqueline: I said she was SETUP. My friend said (Teresa interrupts).

Teresa: But you’re trying to help!?

Jacqueline: All I know is that I’ve been helping you the entire time, and my friend texted me and told me (Teresa interrupts).

Teresa: What friend?

Jacqueline: I’m not going to sell her out.

Teresa (exasperated): Oh my God!

Jacqueline: I have this whole conversation of this guy saying I’m going to embarrass her tonight and you were there.

Teresa: No, I swear to God on my kids her never said he was going to embarrass her. Ever ever ever!

Teresa to Jacqueline: So obviously there is somebody trying to set me up and maybe you’re involved!
