According to a former RHONJ post production supervisor: Bravo doesn’t spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on just following these woman around with no plan — the season and the storyline has a basic outline from the first day. At the start of the season the production team sits down and gives a general overview of where they want the storyline for the show to go. ALL of the wives are in on this. They discuss popular story lines from the season before, story lines that need tying up, and also ways of threading in new story lines that look organic to the story.
The Giudices used reunion 4 to do what the other cast members had been doing to them all season: disclose dirt on their cast mates on camera to put a negative focus on them so that Bravo will build story lines around that. It’s a good strategy because now Bravo has plenty to work with in season 5, which will be all about Melissa’s secrets (and Jacqueline’s, if she returns).

Here is what was talked about during reunion 4 and will be ‘loose ends’ that producers may want to tie up during season 5 taping:
- What really happened when the Gorgas met during Spring Break in Cancun in 2003 and who is Joe’s best friend that Melissa dated before she gave Joe the time of day.
- Melissa adamantly denies she was ever a a dancer or stripper, but footage not aired from the PFS proves otherwise (the PFS was filled with people from her past claiming she was a dancer, according to a former post production supervisor).
- What is the origin of the rumors about Melissa leaving Joe for a richer man?
- Are the Gorga’s borrowing money from people every week to pay their bills and are they selling their home because they’re in over their heads? Based on Kim Pirrella’s (Melissa’s sister) October 14th retweet (during the premiere of part 3 of the reunion special), it looks like Melissa and her sisters are worried about the Gorga’s financial situation being exposed: “Who cares about who met who where and who borrowed what from whom?”
- Was Joe Gorga really a Chippendale dancer and is his ego so huge that he seeks attention from both men and women — does he swing both ways?
- During the reunion special, Andy Cohen tried to redirect the conversation back to Melissa contacting Danielle, but since it didn’t really get addressed, will it be a loose end tied up in season 5? Andy asked Teresa if she regretted the way she treated Danielle, and Teresa said she did — Andy bringing up this topic could mean Bravo is in talks with Danielle to return for season 5. Danielle Staub says she had a meeting with Andy Cohen on October 17, 2012, and claims they talked “Housewives.” Staub says: “It was a general meeting. There was a lot of talk about everything — including Housewives.” According to TMZ: As for rumors that Staub ALREADY has a deal in place to return to the show, Staub says it’s bogus … nothing is official … yet. But if she does return, it’s gonna be great — ’cause it’s clear she still HATES her former castmates. When we asked if she’s spoken to any of the women, Staub shot back — ‘No, I have absolutely no interest in speaking to any of them.’ Awesome!!!” Danielle also said that if what she is reading on Twitter is true, she has “compassion and empathy” for Teresa Giudice.
UPDATE October 21, 2012, TMZ reported: “There are absolutely ZERO PLANS to bring Danielle Staub back to ‘Real Housewives’ … despite her meeting with Andy Cohen … this according to very well-placed sources. TMZ posted footage of Staub exiting a meeting with the Bravo honcho earlier this week … and she hinted that a possible return to the ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ could be in the works. But network sources tell TMZ … Staub left such a bad taste in the mouths of producers when she was fired from the show back in 2010, that there’s NO WAY they would even consider bringing her back. However, we’re told Andy and Danielle got along well during the meeting — fact is, Andy’s a good businessman so he’s keeping the door open for other possible projects down the line.”
Joe and Teresa brought these issues up on camera during the reunion so that the show’s six million viewers would get the stories that only the 100,000 or so viewers who follow the blogs and Twitter have been reading.
On October 18, 2012, Johnny Karagiorgis (@JohnnyTheGrk) gave an interview to Real Housewives Blog, where he disclosed more dirt on Melissa (be sure to read the entire exceptional interview — excerpts below):
When you mess with peoples livelihood, they tend to come out with guns blazing and are willing to spill everything that you are hiding. This is why John and Penny along with Kim D agreed to “set Melissa up” at the Fashion Show. Melissa used to be a frequent customer of Chateau Allure Salon when it was owned by a former “man friend” of hers. His 
name is Robert, and he made two purchases that still hang off her chest. She and her bridal party had their hair/make-up done there before she married Joe. Before Melissa was on the show she used to tell those stylists: “I can’t stand that bitch (Teresa). I am going to get on that show one way or another and destroy her.” Several of the stylists still work for Penny. Melissa has been bragging about Penny not being shown in the Finale Episodes saying: “I got that bitch edited out.” Melissa and producer Cat Rodriguez are very close, they tweet each other all the time.
Well, part of their story [of how they met] is true. They did initially meet in Cancun, that part is true. But, she was there with a different guy. Joe was very into her, she was not into him. It was not love at first site as they say. What really happened was Joe was let’s say, “a love sick puppy” about Melissa. She wouldn’t give him the time of day. He tracked her down at Lookers while she was working there. No, she didn’t work there for a week, 2 weeks, a month or a summer (as she has previously stated – not even she can get her story right). She worked their consecutively over a year. She was “dating” a friend of Joe’s. And only when she found out how big his house was and how much money he had did she ever want anything to do with him. So does that make her a Golddigger, Abso-fuckin’-lutely!
Angelo has no reason to lie [about Melissa being a dancer]. She was well known at Lookers. She was also well known for a girl who gave “extras” for her alleged “partying”, clothes, breasts, jewelry. You name it. She probably got from being on her knees. And Lookers was NEVER owned by a member of Melissa’s family. Not a cousin, uncle or any relative of hers. It is still open and owned by the original owner. [People that John knows very well.] Now let’s be clear; no one is saying stripping is bad or you’re a bad person if that’s how you chose to pay your bills. But why lie about it? Own it and move on.
[Melissa] did get a college diploma. After she got her GED. She was working at Lookers and going to New Jersey State College. Did she ever teach. No. She was a a student teacher/ teacher’s aid and after two weeks she told Joe she couldn’t handle it. So she never actually taught and never obtained a teaching certificate in any state. She went to work as his secretary. She basically went from Ho to Housewife.
Of course she is [going to get what's coming to her in the next season]. When people are coming forward and say “you’re gonna deny, this or that? You’re going to tell me I didn’t buy you those because you did this for me?” Really?!?! Melissa is going to get what is coming to her. She had her make-up artist attack my wife calling her a “coke-whore” and she looks like a “crack-ho” (For the record Penny has never touched a drug in her life.) 
Do you really want to go down that road with me? Do you really want to know who the coke whore was? Do you really want to know who it was that sucked guys off to accommodate their habits for free, free nights at shore houses, or for other free shit? I will only warn once, and our friends are all ready to come forward when I ask them to.
[Joe Gorga] deserves the truth and should have shut his mouth and listen to what his sister had to say. We know of many people who would go public and speak on camera with explicit info that would expose the truth. Enough is enough. They’ve bashed businesses, attacked on twitter with troll accounts, had their employees attack, and had others on twitter come after us. We’ve received threatening phone calls, and every time I invite them to step up or shut up. Still never confronted.
The “Robert” mentioned above is probably Robert Palumbo, who, according to a source, used to own La Chateau when Melissa was a patron, and now runs Robert Palumbo Hair Design in North Arlington, New Jersey.

I read somewhere about Mel only making 65000. What a hoot. When you compare it to Teresa’s! . However it does explain so much about the season. It fuels the jealousy. No wonder Mel wants to make everything about her.(“you don’t get to play victim, because I am the victim”) She wants to be the main character in the story line so she can make the big money like her sister in law. That comment says volumes about what is going on. The difference is Teresa earned it the right way. She slowly earned everyone’s love and respect for who she is. She worked her butt off.
I’m sure this frosted her ass the whole season. I guess I have to rethink the though that Bravo favors she and her husband. Because the proof is in the payroll.
It’s crazy how she and Kathy sold out their family for chump change! They’re not even making 6 figures for this ridiculous behavior; they were that desperate to be “famous” they took a middle-class salary to go point figures at a relative with serious earning power. I hope Danielle gets big $$$ to come back and put Melissa on blast (forget on display!), as well as Teresa getting big $$$ to make sporadic appearances on the show (I do hope she gets a cooking show, a reality cooking show would be perfect!)

Oh Melissa please go away… I am a Teresa lover -turned “Teresa is crazy”- who now feels stupid for doubting my initial impression of her. I knew that five-head SIL was trouble from day one. Even though I thought Melissa was a huge uhm witch from day one, I thought maybe I was wrong because Caroline liked her. I once said I wish Caroline was my mother… Sorry to my mom. I found this site when I felt the reunion was nothing more than a bullying session. Now, I wish Teresa would leave ONLY to have a more successful spin-off!!! Does Melissa think we would watch the show for her no-talent ass? For Jac’s mindless stares? For Kathy and her husband (who I initially thought were good people), the most two-faced of the bunch???? When Teresa lost her voice on reunion 3 ~ I almost cried. Her heartbreak is so real. I even think Caroline felt for her (but then made it all about HER wisdom once again).
So please leave Teresa! That is all it will take for these jealous little girls to get canned… I cant take another season seeing them bully you.. I just cant.

Without hesitation Teresa would be there for him. She inherently understands the meanings of loyalty and family because these were instilled in her by her parents whom she respects more than anyone. Sadly, these are values that did not permeate Joe’s thick skull. He talks about them a lot because I’m sure he’s heard of them. But their meanings are lost on him. When he told Teresa that she has to “fall”, he should have been applying that to himself. He will fall, he will learn that family really IS everything and what the TRUE meaning of “loyalty” is (hint: it does not come in the form of two foaming-at-the-mouth-at-the-idea-of-camera-time sisters-in-law who do things like tweet you suggestive messages and grind you on the dance floor, Joe). He’ll learn it the hard way when he feels like a moron for the way he has treated his sister and his parents and seeing that they are STILL there for him even after that fact. And he’ll be singing a different tune about who the “angel from God” is at that point.

Maybe I could go one step further and say…has MiniJoe and Mels relationship powered by Teresa envy? All we see them talk about is her. Is that how it is at home? If so, that would be alot of negative energy filling their furnitureless mansion. Maybe Mini and Mels relationship depends and thrives on this feud with his sister. Believe me, I am no fan of Melissa and can’t stand Joe Gorga, but if Teresa and Melissa are both going to be on Season 5, I really hope they don’t make it all about bringing down Melissa. I would like to see two separate storylines where the Giudice and Gorga families don’t interact. Maybe, just maybe, if Melissa doesn’t have her storyline about this silly feud, Teresa and Joey could heal and reconcile. If not for the kids, then for their parents. Sooner or later, Joey will see Melissa for what she is without the help of Bravo. As a “celebrity” the truth will come out about Melissa without dragging the rest of us through it for four months on the show. And besides, they would just blame Melissa’s past being exposed on Teresa. Ugh!!!
I really found the Jill Zarin interview (and yes, I am a fan of Jill) on WWHL very interesting. She confirmed that the cast has a planned storyline to work with and a lot of the events are set-up. Of course, as it happened to Jill, one or more of the other castmates can change the whole dynamic on their own.
If Teresa ever does leave RHONJ, instead of writing a book like Caroline said, I bet she could have a bestseller spilling the beans about the real production methods of this franchise!
I too found the JZ interview very interesting. To me it just confirms that the Marco’s did have a storyline to Take Down Teresa. I also believe it was a way for Andy/Bravo to release or confirm that events/storylines where set-up and not by Teresa. None of the storylines shown put Teresa in a positive light and I don’t see Teresa offering to fight with her brother to better the show. IMO they proved Teresa like Bethenny was clueless to storyline and they exploited her true emotions for ratings. Jill said she thought the fighting storyline was good tv and she forgot to tell Bethenny it wasn’t real. To me the Marco’s storyline is the same, they used Teresa’s true feelings to make good tv and like Jill it backfired but instead of destroying a friendship it destroyed a family.

Referring to one of your comments above – 99% of the viewers are insane vs 1% who aren’t? So you feel that almost all of the viewers are insane – well, that contradicts your other comment on here that Teresa only has FIVE fans then. I am someone who will not allow Bravo to shove down my throat their version of “Reality” and take it as gospel without finding out more when I feel that something is just not right; this show and the events themselves were so obviously filmed out of sequence and there are just so many holes in the editing it sent up a red flag. It amazes me that there are so many FACTS out there – PUBLIC RECORD – of all these people who have done far worse than the Giudices and people make the choice to IGNORE all of it. I am intelligent enough to make my own decisions as to what I believe is the truth.

But going by what I THINK you said…no, this site is not for Teresa lovers. This site is for people who are sick and tired of the lies and manipulations perpetuated by Bravo which were kicked into high gear when Melissa and Joe Gorga came onto this show. So if a commenter wants to get angry from time to time and say that they’d “like to see Melissa go f**k herself” because of how evil she is, it is out of sheer, justified frustration and a desire to see a plethora of wrongs righted.

Am I the only one that finds Melissa’s body language towards Joe Gorga-Marco a little off? Her reactions to his antics are those of a woman that is repulsed, not of one that is in love. And now, can I share an observation as well? How come this information has not made it too the newspapers, tabloid magazines? Why only Teresas finances, Joe Giudice affair seemed to be important? But juicy stories like this seemed to get unnoticed. Why was Melissas previous arrest soo under wraps? I saw a few tabloids mention it but quickly retract their story by saying the charges have recently been dismissed. Just don’t get it. I mean there are witnesses in this case that have come forward.
In my opinion, alot of the “sources” quoted by the tabloids are those who want to see Teresa humiliated – taken down, if you will. That is why you see so many negative stories about her. I think these “sources” are Jacqueline, Melissa and possibly the Marco sisters, among others who plant these stories to the tabloids. I also believe these “sources” have deals with certain tabloids so that they only publish stories that make them (the sources – allegedly aka Melissa, Jacs, etc.) look good. That is why you don’t see any stories about them. This is just my theory though.
I would think the charges have actually been dismissed but the statute of limitations have run. That happened more than ten years ago, no?

The charges were dismissed – The paperwork was begun as soon as the news came to light and Melissa and her sister took a a real quick trip down to FL a couple of weeks ago to signed off on them. The case was dropped because the store she allegedly shoplifted from no longer exists, so therefore, it could not be pursued. It was not a statute of limitations issue.
Melissa’s reaction to Teresa mentioning Joe’s best friend was priceless! All the fake niceness disappeared in that moment. Teresa really hit a nerve when she said that. Joe got really pissed when Juicy asked how he met Melissa too. Teresa and Juicy know all the dirt on them so they got some nerve provoking them the way they do. It was just disgusting for Melissa to say she was moving to get her kids away from Tre’s kids! I couldn’t have forgiven her for that shit. It’s really too bad that so many people don’t have the discernment to see how fake Melissa is. I’m an intuitive guy and I sensed that about her from the start.
I didn’t even like the RHONJ that much at first but seasons 3 and 4 won me over lol. From what I see Teresa is a brutally honest person and she doesn’t make up lies because she doesn’t even care that much what others think to bother with making up lies in the first place. When she says nasty things it’s always in response to the horrible things others do and say to her. Shame on Bravo for portraying her as this dark, hateful person when she’s anything but. I hope in the new season they show Melissa for who she really is and show who Teresa really is. Melissa is a huge liar as evidenced by her own words on this blog and Teresa, well she is the Truth! I love Teresa and I’m gonna support her by buying her cookbooks lol. I might even give her wine a try too haha. Please keep this blog going at least part time if you can, thanks!
Here’s the thing, as much as Juicy Joe is a tool, when he speaks about someone, he doesn’t lie, he doesn’t care enough to and most people know that. Maybe when he speaks about himself and his cases he may lie but not when he speaks about other people. That’s why those two got scared b/c whatever Juicy says, people are likely to believe as truth.
I can only hope season 5 will be Melissa’s downfall. Her lies are going to catch up to her and I hope we all get to see it.

I join everyone in thanking you for digging, analyzing and getting the truth out.
When Joe was talking about being in the Chippendale’s I was thinking it was a joke (maybe a fantasy since he likes to dance, strip and be the center of attention–maybe like….?). When he brought up the elephant thong Jacqueline leaned over to Caroline and suggested that Teresa sniffed them?! (A year ago I never would have thought Jac would say such a nasty thing.)
I was posting about how Melissa wants Teresa off the show so it did my heart good to read this blog. Maybe that’s why Melissa is trying so desperately to get Teresa off the show with so many egregious accusations in the tabloids–because she fears being humiliated in front of Teresa on camera while Teresa is proven right–in front of the viewers.
I must admit I’m a little less empathetic about Season 5 being dark if its about sharing tales about the real Melissa (and the others). As far as I know, the average viewer has not seen the other side or caught inconsistencies in the other cast members stories but those who venture onto the internet (twitter, blogs, etc.) do come away with a different picture. For that reason, I would probably only tune into Season 5 if it’s more balanced and more accurately relates all of their problems including at least a portion of Melissa’s lies about herself and false witness against Teresa being exposed. People who have bought into the Melissa “brand” won’t really stop downloading her songs so it probably wouldn’t hurt Mel in the pocketbook anyway, IMO.
Chirp, you typed what I was thinking. I have had several friends who watch the show and hated Teresa, but as you said they weren’t on twitter or reading the blogs. Once they did they switched their view of Teresa and the others.

Gorga’s father has a rift with his son, because his son is a “closet” homosexual who has embarrassed his family his whole life. Not because of his sexuality (because that is NOT embarrassing and his family has no issue with homosexuality), but because of his “life-style” choices. Borrowing money from everyone and anyone connected to his family, and his “parting” and obsession with fame (drug use, excessive spending on prostitutes to cover his sexual proclivities). They were also not pleased when he brought home a “known prostitute” just to make his parents “pay” for his delusional “slights”. Theresa has covered for him his whole life. His gratitude towards her and Joe is to try to destroy them at any cost. As long as “fame” is involved, he is satisfied. Some things in the “Italian world” is not talked about………Theresa is loyal. Theresa is Italian. Theresa knows her place and duty as a sister, mother, daughter and wife. All of the above facts can be checked. The little man syndrome is kind of funny though (in a sad way). He made the wrong admission on the last reunion show, even though the money and the taking off of clothing is very familiar to both Joe Gorga and his “beard” (Melissa)…….If someone can dig out about a certain “high school” incident with Joe and a “boy”, that would be really entertaining. However, the “boy’s” family are pretty connected, so ………

I am from a rather large Italian family and I do know that we all stick together like thieves. We can pick on each other of which we do.(Never to the extent of RHNJ). But no one from outside the family being, SIL, BIL I mean no one can pick on our blood without repercussions from all of us. It is a unsaid agreement between all of us. We are old school Italians and I do get everything Tre is doing. We keep our secrets about each other till death. It is a bond that I cherish. It is also respect. We have had situations with people marrying into the family with checkered past and I can tell you this if they acted like Mel and Joe they would no longer be in the family period. There is a sense of obligation, and pride to your family when you are Italian to the elders, and the more experienced matriarch’s of the family. Something I just don’t see in Mel and Joe. I can tell you this Hell has no fury like when you piss the family off to the point where they decide you are no longer a part of the family. I personally feel it is very close to that point. If Tre ever does decide to write a memoir it would be a best seller. Maybe after she finishes RHNJ! I doubt it but you just never know.
DD- not Italian myself, but pretty familiar w/the culture having grown up in a predominently Italian town- so I 100% can confirm what you are saying- and I too wonder if T is not on that line and ready to cross it (in deciding no longer part of the fam).
With T retweeting the article from this website- she has to know it’s content (if she hasn’t read it, i’m sure her assistants/PR are familiar) and to me…it shows she’s (for Slojo) dangerously close to cutting him off. Allabouttrh had a story that confirmed JTG’s tweets that Meho never went to the hospital to see Poppa Gorga- and that could just be what is pushing T over the edge. Meho shirked her family duties by not visiting Poppa G in the hospital and basically spit in the families face.

Joey Gorga is a slumloard, a dimwit, a midget who probably stripped in a gay bar in his younger days, not Chippendales but the worst part is his betrayal of his family. Having lost my parents at a young age, a day doesn’t go by that I wouldn’t give anything, ANYTHING to spend one more day with them. I hope that his plan to steal what his sister had, which was a very long and complicated plan drawn up by the devious and mentally ill Melissa Gorga has made him as happy as he claims to be. He doesn’t feel anything when his sister and her children are insulted, belittled, lied about disrespected by other people. Funny, how that seems to be the one line you don’t cross with a man. When my son played a D1 college sport, I had to explain to him that they don’t really know your sister or mother, they are trying to get you to lose your temper. Stop losing your cool or I won’t come to your games.
It crosses all cultural lines, believe me. Not just Italians. Yet insulting Joey’s mother, sister and nieces doesn’t faze Joey in the least. In fact, he agrees with it. The sister that still protects him to this day he calls garbage on national t.v. His ill father is so ashamed of him and his antics that it is making him worse. His mother has had a knife in her heart so many times, she is probably out of tears. So what does that make Joey? He is not a man. He is a coward who is so afraid of the displeasure of his wife that allows anybody, especially her and her family to constantly insult and lie about the females in his family to a national audience. Teresa is by all accounts of the people who know her personally a very nice person. What on God’s green earth has she done to deserve a brother like this? Gessie – I hear your pain from losing your parents. I lost my dad when he was only 60 and I miss him every single day and I am still “angry” that he wasn’t around to see my kids grow up.
Right now at this stage of my life, I am caregiver to my elderly, ailing mom. I have had to give up my job, causing great financial strain, and I have had to protect her from my sister who was physically, emotionally and mentally abusing her without the rest of our family knowing about it until my mom finally told me what was going on. I am exhausted, emotionally drained and so worried all the time about her well-being. It is a full-time undertaking. But you know what, I wouldn’t change it for the world and I cherish every single second I have left with her. My mom and dad gave me life – for that alone, I am grateful, never mind everything else they both have done for me.
I relate my sister to Joey Marco – self-absorbed; baby of the family; immature; craving constant attention that they will do anything to get it; ungrateful – well, you understand. The difference between Teresa and I? Teresa will forgive her brother eventually and take him back, but for me, I have cut my “sister” completely out of my life – in fact, my entire familiy has. I will never, ever forgive her for what she did. Teresa is a greater person than I for that.

I care for my mother as well. Thankfully my siblings feel as I do – that her feet should never touch the ground. As the only girl, much of it does fall one me. As you voiced, it’s tough. IT does take a lot of time. But as you also said you wouldn’t change it for the world. Me neither.
You’re very brave and very strong to take the stand and not allow your family to be victimized by one member who doesn’t understand that just because they were born last doesn’t mean they can be selfish in the face of another’s (more important) needs. Be well and Stay Strong.

I lost my Mom when I was a kid, suddenly, so enjoy those moments, no matter how stressful they are, and I admire your caregiving because I took care of My Dad for a very long time . I tink you are exactly right about your sister, but I am not sure about Teresa being able to forgive Joey. After what he has done, he will burn in hell. If she does, like you say, she is a better person than you or I. I would visit my brother in jail if he committed murder, I would live him no matter what crime he committed, but if he did to me what Joey did, I don’t think I could forgive him, and I mean that. Teresa was right when she said he was the meanest brother in the world. Sometimes, like with your sister, you have to cut them out of your life for your mental health. Can you imagine how hard this is on Mrs. Gorga? That poor, poor, woman.
Gessie – you mentioned how it must be terrible for Mrs. Gorga. You are right – it is probably awful. I can only speak to my mom’s experience when my “sister” was given her walking papers. It was hard on all of us – even through the anger, there was hurt a sense of loss, and sorrow. In alot of ways it is like a death in the family, only worse because it is very difficult watching my mother suffer still from the loss of her child. Because she is such a wonderful woman and that is how she continues to look at it. For her, it has been the most difficult. Believe it or not, my mom is on Facebook at age 86, (I am not!) and she refuses to defriend her because I think she feels it is still a way of having a connection. The only problem is every once in awhile my sister will put something up intentionally just to hurt my mom. I have had our family priest come and talk with her occasionally when she is feeling guilty about not being there as a mother – thankfully, the priest has been supportive and understanding of the situation and feels my mother is far, far better off without the ugliness in her life. Overall, though, she is so much happier now and, most importantly, safe.
Thank you for everyone’s very kind, thoughtful, and caring words. It came none too soon as this week has been a particularly tough one. But, like I’ve said before there are good people here. Tomorrow’s a new day, a clean slate, and I have much to be thankful for!

Yes, Having a living child that you have to cut off contact with because they are pure evil is just as difficult as an actual death of a child, i do imagine, Jeannie.
Maybe even worse because I’m sure the parent will always wonder if THEY did something wrong to make their child this way. They will internalize it. They also will always hope and believe that their child will change and may get hurt time and time again because of it.
I’m so sorry for your situation Jeannie… I have family problems too with my siblings and there is nothing more painful and heart wrenching. I believe both your sister and mine are the way they are for the same reason Melissa is the way she is. They have no conscience and the only thing that matters to them is that things go THEIR way and don’t ever worry about how it may effect others.
You are right – always clinging to the hope that all will be resolved, everyone will be together again, and the family will mend. (my sister, since she was little, was always causing fights and drama – her way or the highway even when she was a child causing everyone to walk on eggshells in fear of setting her horrific temper off), there is my mom scrolling down on FB and watching her face is absolutely heartbreaking. At least when someone passes, “hope” does not interfere with the grief process. So, my mom never can really completely move on. But, don’t get me wrong here – she understands, she is brave, and she is much happier!
Unfortunately, I think there are many, many more “Melissa”s in this world causing irreparable damage in their wake.

Melissa and Joey Gorga failed – failed to take Teresa down after not one but two seasons! Failed to get the audience on their side as they destroyed his family. Failed to bring an interesting storyline – an autotuned over the hill popstar wannabee victim and an idiot who still thinks this economy supports flipping and rennovating buildings who takes every opportunity possible to expose his privates to the audience? As much as I would love to see them taken down next season, I would much prefer not to see either one of them ever again.

The reason why so much of what Johnny, Penny, Kim D, etc. say about Melissa rings true to me is because my husband is from that area (I’m from NYC) and I’ve met many girls like Melissa. While the rest of the country may look on in shock and awe, around here (yawn) she’s just another ho on the stroll looking for her “daddy”. What I don’t get is why she’s so e-scared? Who cares what she did back when. I’m not saying she should make a badge for her ample chest to show her pride in behaving like that. But dayum, it does make one wonder what else she could be hiding.
Melissa was so thirsty for her “chance” that when she got it, she was over the moon. Finally she had validation for what she’d known all along – she is wonderful and everyone loves her. lol. Sadly, she couldn’t see around her gigantic ego to see that her lies were too obvious and too easy to spot. Another hallmark of a narcissist. If she was smart she would have been able to see the situation from everyone elses viewpoint. She would have been able to see every other players agenda and how they might move their peices around the board. But she doesn’t play chess – she barely plays checkers. And that’s why her cast mates will always win. She can’t see the endgame through any other lens but her own.
While Bravo inks the story arc for each player and that is put in as an addendum to their agreement it doesn’t spell out how the story arcs will blend. Particularly for players who don’t or won’t film with each other. And therein lies the only “reality” left on these shows.
A good friend of ours recently met a woman like Melissa. Its clear she likes him for his money and position. Part of me wishes he would date women that are more his speed. But the truth of the matter is, his ego wouldn’t function well in that type of relationship. He likes the control his money gives him. That may sound harsh, but that’s the truth. A golddigger can only be successful if the mine wants to be dug. My only hope is that she doesn’t ask me to be a part of the bridal party. lol. Other than that, I’ll try to accept her into our small circle of friends. (shrug) whaddyagonnado? right?
Am I looking forward to Season 5? Yeah. Do I hope it’s the vindication of Teresa and she’s proven right about Melissa and the jealousy agenda of the other two are brought to light as well? Yeah. I’m all for vindication. Revenge, not so much. Vindication, I think that’s a good thing. And I think Teresa deserves it.

rhocomix (fka “bigg hayah, longg nailsss”) – ITA with so much of what you have written here. Like you, I am also from the NY metro area, a born and raised Long Islander. LI and NJ are like unspoken cousins. Same stereotypes – the accent, the hair/nails/tans, the spoiled rich kids, the high percentage of Italians (who for some odd reason are the only ethnic group that feels the need to announce their heritage at every opportunity…you don’t hear Czechoslovakians bragging all the time, do you? Yeah, me either). That is probably why I became such a fan of RHONJ from its inception and why I identified with it immediately. I recognized people/characteristics/tendencies that I know in a lot of the cast.
Anyway, girls like Melissa are a dime a dozen around these parts which is why I saw right through her the second she appeared on my TV screen. Because I’ve met plenty of girls like her before. The kind of girl who claims that she has more guy friends than girl friends when the truth is she has NO girl friends because other girls are competition to her. The kind of girl who – say, at a party for example – appears bored out of her mind (you know…sighing, rolling her eyes, playing with her hair, folding her arms) unless the attention is centered around her, even going as far as to create a scene JUST to bring the attention back to herself. The girl who – when she HAS the attention of a group of guys – is sure to have her thong purposely peeking over the top of her jeans. The kind of girl who will have no problem coming right out and saying that she wants a guy who will buy her such-and-such kind of car and such-and-such carat diamond engagement ring because she will settle for nothing less.
I wish I could say I was making any of these girls up but I’m not…I’ve met all of them at one point or another. Some of them are the same girl. And they all could be Melissa Gorga. She is the kind of girl that other girls stay FAR away from if we are smart. Because this girl is obsessed with two things: herself and finding a guy who is dumb enough and qualified enough to keep her in the lifestyle in which SHE thinks she is worthy.
(*It’s worth noting that this is not always about money. It usually is but it depends on the girl. Sometimes it’s status, sometimes the comfort in finding a mate, etc. But nine times out of ten this girl is a gold digger and wants to be kept in a life of luxury because she either had it growing up and thinks she is entitled to it or she did NOT have it growing up and thinks she deserves her “piece of the pie”.)
However, Melissa Gorga is a real overachiever as compared to most of the girls I’ve met. She isn’t just a run of the mill gold digger from New Yawk Metro who goes after guidos and likes to hang at the mall. Oh no…Melissa goes the extra step and has an actual personality disorder, too! She’s a narcissist. Being a narcissist AND a gold digger is a very dangerous combination because coupled with all the behaviors detailed above, she has not a shred of conscience in her. Melissa does not care what she has to do, who she has to hurt, or what she must destroy in order to accomplish her obnoxiously lofty goals. So if that means that she has to poach an entire pride of lions in order to snag the stupid dude who will pay for her “dream house” complete with recording studio and Rolex watches hanging off the Christmas tree, so be it. She’ll do it because her NPD allows it.
rho, I think the reason why she’s so “e-scared” is because somewhere, deep down in that teeny, tiny Grinch heart of hers, she knows that there is a treasure trove of information on her, that there are many MANY people who are more than willing to share it and that the internet is the place where it will all come tumbling out. Forget the show. The show is her safe place (so she thinks). She is scared shitless of what her enemies of the past (and she KNOWS they are out there) are ready and willing to spill on Twitter, in blogs like this one, in interviews. She may play the denial game and pretend like she has no enemies in her last ditch attempt to play the “good girl” routine…but she knows damn well. THAT is why she is e-scared. That is why a year ago she had her lawyer pre-emptively threatening to sue anyone who called her a “stripper” (whatever happened to that BTW? Lots of people have called her a stripper since then and will continue to…because she was. I haven’t been served with papers. Have you? Has anyone?). That is the reason for her noticeable absence on Twitter recently. That is the reason for the media frenzy STILL trying to place blame on Teresa for being the evil one. She’s clinging to her last thread of a chance at her “thank you, Jesus” routine before all the shit hits the fan and the internet is where she knows it will happen.

You can’t blame Melissa’s behavior on her region (As an Italian-Czech american I take offense that you say only Italians are always touting their heritage- imho Irish Americans are just as bad at it). Melissa acts the way she does because it’s an ingrained American behavior that’s prevalent in younger generations today, and Jacqueline acting just like her is the proof of it. Since Jac was an army brat (correct me if I’m wrong) you can’t really say Melissa’s doing something they only do in the NY metro area where there’s a lot of Italians.
Contrast their behavior to Teresa’s and then all three to that of Caroline and Kathy. Teresa by no means has acted like a slut in her entire life, but she’s only a first generation American, her parents are FOB. Melissa and Jacqueline grew up roughly in the same decade as Teresa but their wholes lives have been one big scam to get a guy to put a ring on it and bleed him dry as parasites the rest of their lives. Caroline and Kathy though are a decade older than them, coming of age when the sexual revolution of the late 60′s/early 70′s was only beginning.
I agree with you. Girls like Melissa exist all over, however, they are prevalent more so in some areas because they follow the wealth. I don’t think it has anything to do with her heritage. I also don’t think it’s only concentrated in the younger generation of today… they’ve been around for decades. Probably more so since it’s not been taboo for men to marry out of their social standing. Melissa is a ho… period. I don’t like throwing around that word either because just because a woman has had many sexual partners does not necessarily make her a ho IMO, however, Melissa has offered “favors” in exchange for material things. That’s a ho no matter how you look at it. She’s also a gold digger and she’s also a narcissist. She may very well be a sociopath also… she checks a lot of those characteristic boxes.
Also, and I say this with a heavy heart, she seems to have a disconnect with her children. Now it very well be because we don’t often see her with her children, but when we do, she seems very robotic with them IMO. I realize that’s quite an accusation, but I’m saying that’s my opinion based on what we are privy to. She may not be seen often with her children, but I don’t recall one time when she was actually loving. Have we seen her even talk to them? Taking a ton of pics of Antonia on her way to school is not loving IMO. It can be looked at as “look at what a beautiful child I made”… me me me. And she made her miss the bus because of it. Joey, on the other hand, has shown much more interaction with them than Melissa. Sad but fitting to who she is.
Her kids are props to her, that’s all. I wish Teresa and her Joe adopt them, because those other two are unfit.
BTW I don’t even think Melissa’s Italian. Maybe her mother is part Italian, but Marco sounds more Puerto Rican than Italian, first of all, and secondly Melissa and Antonia’s hair is super kinky. I would love to see the rumors about Melissa being her father’s love child investigated. It was so strange the first reunion when Andy asked her if she was black. Where did that come from?

The last I read of the comments under Melissa, they were brutal. I don’t think I read more than one or two positive comments. If Bravo is controlling what we see, what does that say? Kinda interesting huh? What I have noticed is if I sign in, my comments show as being posted. However, when I sign out and go in just to read the comments, they aren’t actually posted. They think they’re so smart it makes me ill.

Want to start off by saying that this site is addicting, informational, and just plain ridiculously good. Thanks for making me feel vindicated for feeling that something in the BRAVO milk just ain’t clean.
Honestly, I can’t stand Johnny and Penny and hope that they are not on the show next season. Why?
Their behavior is classless and tacky. They reek of desperation. I don’t want hungry fame whores tainting the show any further. We already have Melissa and Joe. That’s enough punishment as it is. No need to add more of their trashy circle to the mix. Friends or not, they are all part of the same social circle and we don’t need to give another 15 minutes to these leeches.
To clarify, I do want Melissa exposed on national television for being the manipulative scumbag that she is. I just prefer it to be done by someone other than Penny Pincher and her douchelord husband.
We need someone that Teresa would deem worthy to defend her and expose Melissa. Someone who has tact and smarts. Unfortunately, Tweedledum and Tweedledee will screw up the situation completely. I read that she and lauren moved out and live together, and that Albert has a mistress??? Not trying to spread a rumor but, dosent this make a lot of sense as to Caro’s nasty behavior last season?? Also explains why Albert seemed “asleep” or yawning in so many scenes last season…..This is a huge shocker to me, I really thought they were solid. As much as i detest Caro…I am never happy to hear of a dissolution of a marriage. It is very sad if its true.
When Lauren appeared at the reunion, didn’t she say that she felt sorry for Gia worrying about her dad cheating because SHE went through the same thing at her age? I’ve also heard over and over that Al has had a mistress. I don’t think it’s that big a secret but of course like everything else, that never gets mentioned by any of the other women, etc. or Andy Cohen… I did read that she and Lauren moved out also but I don’t remember where. I do wonder if that part is true. Al was hardly around at all this season and he was miserable on the Napa trip. Certainly can’t blame him even though I don’t like cheaters.
I hate to hear such news also, but if she had directed some of that attention to her husband instead of all the attention to bring Teresa down it may have turned out better. I just got tired of her Holy then thy attitude.
