Melissa Gorga Copies and Stalks Teresa Giudice and Others (Updated 7/10/2012)

All I’m saying is for everyone that says that Teresa is jealous of Melissa, I think Melissa wants to be Teresa. Not the marriage of course. Bravo has clips of ‘lost footage’ from season 3.

There is one filmed early in the season (prior to Christmas 2010) where Melissa is complaining that Teresa copies her, especially when it comes to the kids. It seems she was the first to make the accusation and then Teresa flipped the script and accused her of being the one who is doing the copying.

In the video clip, Melissa says:

“Anyone who knows Teresa and I know that she always tends to kind of watch what I do, and within a month or two, she’s doing the same thing, especially when it comes to the kids. It’s just how it is. And you know what, imitation is the best form of flattery.”

Note to Melissa: Teresa is eight years older than you and was over the top and ‘fabulous’ long before she met you in 2003 — she had two of her four children before your first child was born (Gia is five years old older, and Gabriella is two years older, than Antonia) — so Teresa was never emulating you… it’s always been you copying her. As your sister Lysa said at the Christening, when she belittled Teresa, don’t get it twisted.

• Melissa replicated Teresa’s appearance after they met.

• Melissa married Teresa’s brother.

• Melissa moved to the same town Teresa had been living in for years.

• Melissa got Teresa’s cousin on her side.

• Melissa applied to and got hired by the same company as Teresa.

• Melissa got Teresa’s friends on her side.

• Melissa creates anonymous twitter accounts and e-mails to criticize Teresa, Teresa’s fans and to speak negatively of Teresa disguised as a “secret source(s).”

The examples of Melissa copying Teresa detailed here in this blog are just from what aired during one season of RHONJ and what we know about from the post-season. Can you imagine what Teresa has been dealing with since 2003, when Melissa first met Joe?

“It’s like deja vu and it started to make me reflect. Teresa is on a hit show and has spotlight on her. Now Melissa is on the same hit show. Teresa was funny and had a group of girlfriends that enjoyed her. Now Melissa has those same friends (regardless if it’s a phoney friendship)……Teresa’s former friends.

“I remember when Tre put up all those former professional pictures of her girls and gave a shout out to her long time photographer. Not even a few days later…Melissa put pictures of her kids over the years and spotlighted the same photographer lol. During the season Melissa was talking crap to a hairstylist…you guessed it, Teresa’s hairstylist lol…about how Tre makes a big deal about using her people. Then, in terms of phrases, I remember Teresa in season one always saying “love, love, love” etc. Then I see Melissa saying that same phrase. The list goes on and on and on.

“At first…I initially thought Teresa was overreacting. I mean, it isn’t a crime to get a referral or use someone that a family member or friend has…especially if they do good work. However, copying EVERY single thing…is just plain creepy. I mean…how many hairstylist, photographer, dresses, kids outfits are there to choose from? Isn’t it weird that someone has to copy every single iota of another?”

Editor’s Note: It’s almost too creepy for people to believe that Melissa would so blatantly copy Teresa, but there is no way Teresa conspired with Melissa as a publicity stunt (they truly do not like each other) to publish virtually identical pictures of their youngest children drinking slurpies while watching the same movie only one day apart. For Melissa to tweet almost the exact same thing the next day with an identical picture means she has gone ’round the bend/off the deep end or she copies Teresa on such a regular basis that she is unaware that she is even doing it and is clueless that she is a stalker. The definition of a narcissist includes the following: they are disconnected from themselves and have no sense of self; they are delusional and not in touch with reality; narcissists invest all of their energy into ensuring others validate their fragile egos…they live in a frantic state of paranoia that they will be exposed at any minute… consumed with avoiding this inevitable disaster, they have little energy to be genuinely interested in others.

In September 2010, Teresa posted that she was taking dance classes, after which Melissa called her a “copycat,” later posting that she had been taking dance classes for the past 4 months.

On May 16, 2011, NJ.com interviewed Melissa and asked her for a response to this: Teresa said that she wishes her baby sister-in-law didn’t copy everything she does, down to the shoes she wears to the chairs no her front porch:

“My response for that is, sometimes people have a way of trying to use reverse psychology, and they do try to turn it around and say it’s the other people. I think she’s just using a good example of that in there.”

It is all about Melissa trying to necessarily be like Teresa. Joey obviously thought a LOT of his family and the way things were done. Melissa tried to live up to it, cook like the mom, have the Italian perspective, and do things the way Teresa does, not because she idolizes Teresa but because it is Joey’s sister whom he adores. It snowballed from there though. Melissa is using a lot of animal prints these days, uses the same hand gestures as Teresa, the same squeaky voice. Her need to fit into the family, and do as they do, turned into something else.

Melissa copies Teresa, especially when it comes to the kids.

During Season 1, Episode 3, Teresa Guidice takes her daughter Gia, who’s seven going on her mom’s age, to Wilhelmina modeling agency. Teresa admits that cute little Gia didn’t get the role with the Rock, so they’re moving into modeling. Once they finally arrive, Ms. Wilhemina checks out Gia’s photos and says she’s too pageantry and not modelish enough.

In her fifth Bravo blog, On Display, June 14, 2011, Melissa said: “I am so proud of Gia, she loves gymnastics! Antonia loves to watch Gia, they go to the same gymnastics school, and Antonia gets so excited when she runs into her there. She always says, ‘Momma I love the way Gia does gymnastics.’ I tell her when she gets big she will be able to do all of those things too, just like her big cousin.”

Melissa tweeted on July 2, 2011, that her 5-year-old daughter Antonia will be making her acting debut in a Snazaroo commercial on the Nickelodeon network.

Christmas Cards: The Giudice card featuring Gia in 2003 vs. the Gorga card with Antonia in the same cape in 2011. Who is copying who?

In lost footage, Melissa Gorga explains that whatever she does, Teresa Giudice does too, especially when it comes to the kids. Bravo flashes back to the Italy trip in 2010 during season 2 (photo below) to show the Giudice girls wearing the coat and hat that Antonia is wearing for their 2010 Christmas pictures (from season 3). Who is copying who?

After season 3 aired, Melissa copied Teresa’s swim wear with high heels in Punta Cana.

Melissa wore flat shoes and a relatively modest swimsuit during season 3′s trip to Punta Cana. After season 3 aired, in December 2011, she wore a bikini with high heels like Teresa did in Punta Cana.

Notice that Melissa’s high heels are almost identical to the pair that Teresa wore in Punta Cana.

According to RealFansClub.com: “It is so Teresa to try on all her outfits, strut her stuff and claim to ask for opinions on what to wear on the boat.  Joe said it as he walked away, ‘She could do this all day.”  I think he meant it and I think they all knew it’.”

This is the real Teresa: she did the same thing in season 1 when she modeled swim suits for Dina and Caroline.

The main grip that Caroline and anti-Teresa viewers have is how much Teresa has changed. I agree but I don’t see how she couldn’t have this year. Here’s my take. The first season, I saw Teresa as adorable. Remember when everyone was joking about “bubbies” and Teresa was trying on bathing suits in Atlantic City? She had a completely flat chest and everyone was joking about it. It was so ludicrous because it looked like it was the first time Teresa had realized she had a flat chest. Funny, quirky stuff! There Teresa was, standing stark naked (almost) in a bathing suit, a little boy’s chest and looking to her friends who were saying kind things. Dina and Caroline were saying “you have no business having that body after kids” and “you look so great, why don’t you buy bubbies.” Everyone was joking and it was a fabulous, touching scene with good, good friends. I really enjoyed it [go to 14:12 and 20:24 in this video].

Well no wonder, when, the next year, her sister in law and cousin join the show with negative hearts, the dynamics change. Teresa had to feel all the mean things being said about her even though she didn’t directly hear them. Well she then started acting insecure. That’s friendship “101” folks. Obviously Teresa felt the shift in attitude towards her after the manipulation started. No wonder then, when they were in Punta Cana, she was standing there like a little girl again seeking acceptance and her “friend’s” backing as she felt on the defensive. To me, that was what that silly parade in her many bathing suits was about.

You all have to understand, they don’t hear all the backstabbing comments in the interviews until the show airs, and Teresa was rising above the fray and not saying directly what Melissa was up to. We were allowed to figure it out for ourselves. And oh boy, did we ever.

I think Teresa was desperately trying to have her comfort gang circle the wagons around her in such a trying time in her life, with Melissa and Kathy attacking from the left and her looming legal monstrous problems circling the right. Boy, oh boy, little did she know, her friends NOT only weren’t going to circle the wagons, they were going to drive over her.

Melissa became the new spokesperson for Sizzle Tans in October 2011, following in Teresa’s footsteps once again.

Melissa’s publicist is Illumination PR, Teresa’s former publicist.

Illumination PR is run by Robyn Matarazzo Polay (she now just goes by Robyn Polay). Robyn WAS ONCE Teresa’s “assistant/publicist” under the now defunct “Entertain Me Westchester, LLC”, but their relationship has long been terminated. If Melissa wasn’t “copying” everything Teresa, why would the Gorgas use Teresa’s FORMER publicist?

Melissa seems to copy a lot of things Teresa does on Twitter.

I notice a lot of subtle things about Melissa Gorga. She seems to copy alot of things Teresa does on Twitter. When T puts up pictures of her kids…in a heart beat Melissa follows. When Teresa retweeted a tweet from Taylor Swift about a kid…Melissa then found a tweet regarding a kid wanting Taylor Swift to go to the prom. Remember when Teresa decided to follow new people and people she had unfollowed in the past…just yesterday Melissa is asking “what new people can i follow”. I feel like Melissa’s PR or just Melissa is ripping off Teresa lol. All of this happened on twitter within a month…I haven’t really been looking prior to that…but Mel really looks at everything Teresa does and tries to imitate. #SAD. [Bev at AllAboutTRH.com on February 23, 2012 at 8:47 am] She even started calling her Twitter followers “Tweet♥s” or “Sweet♥s” like Teresa does (or used to do).

Melissa was not surprised that Teresa was upset that she is using her stylist.

Melissa knows Teresa is territorial about vendors. Earlier this season Melissa told us what happened when she used Teresa’s photographer for her Christmas card and Teresa scolded her about it. Melissa used the scene pictured above from season 3 to question the stylist and get her to underscore, on camera, that Teresa is territorial about petty things that don’t matter. Scenes like this make it look like Mel wants to manipulate the viewers into disliking her sister-in-law. [What we don’t believe about the RHONJ finale]

After Teresa claimed to love taking photographs and throwing parties, Melissa made the same claims.

In her June 12, 2012 Bravo Blog Teresa said:

“I love, love, love photographs… especially of me and my girls. You’ve seen my Christmas cards; I go over the top with photographs… With my girls for Halloween in People magazine, I did them all for free because I love taking pictures!”

In her July 9, 2012 Bravo blog, in an attempt to defend herself for using a stylist to do her hair and makeup for her daughter’s 6th birthday party (and for wearing a mini dress and 4″ heels), Melissa too claims she loves taking pictures:

“I know I’ve said this before, but I have a picture obsession!”

“Now I know all parents like to take pics of their kids, I’m a parent too, but I wouldn’t go as far as saying I have an obsession. I think Teresa even said it on Celeb App. I think Melissa should say ‘I have an obsession with Teresa.’ Agh, I have to hand it to Teresa: if I had an annoying SIL like that, I wouldn’t give her the time of day. [Housewife Hoe, July 9, 2012, StoopidHousewives]

In the same Bravo blog, Melissa claims to have always thrown beautiful birthday parties:

“I’ve always thrown her beautiful birthday parties; it’s what I love to do! It’s one of the reasons I love being a MOM. For as long as I can remember I’ve just always wanted to have babies and do all the beautiful things mommies do! I only have one little girl, so I love to give her everything I can and enjoy these precious baby years for as long as she will let me.”

“And for birthday parties, again, isn’t that what Teresa has always done? She goes all out for her kids parties, and now all of a sudden Melissa is acting like she’s mom of the year when she throws a comped party for her daughter.” [Housewife Hoe, July 9, 2012, StoopidHousewives]

Melissa is a phony and a stalker. Melissa must watch episodes of RHONJ over and over, taking notes on EVERYTHING Teresa so that she can incorporate Teresa’s mannerisms, movements, voice and anything thing else she can pick up on into her own personality.

“Melissa has re-sorbed Teresa’s personality. Teresa’s been saying it for awhile. It seems petty to point it out, but when it happens to you, it’s disturbing and very annoying. M took t’s hairdresser, T’s stylist, her photographer, shops where T shops, took over her friendships, etc. It’s a little over the top and reminiscent of that old Jennifer Jason Leigh/Bridget Fonda movie (I’ve mentioned this before) called “single White Female.” My daughter has experienced this and it may seem harmless at first, but when it’s happening to you it can feel unsettling especially if it escalates and you start to feel violated, oppressed and trapped.” – LaineyLainey, June 26, 2012, LynnNChicago

In an anonymous e-mail sent to StoopidHousewives in May 2011, an insider said:

“Melissa has been jealous of Teresa since the day they met. Melissa was a plain Jane. Teresa has been fabulous and over-the-top since high school. Look at how Melissa has transformed herself into Teresa. Melissa copies EVERYTHING Teresa does: where she get her hair done, which pediatrician she uses, she literally follows Teresa into stores. She wears the same shoes two weeks later… Here’s a classic example (so Leann Rimes/Brandi Glanville!): Teresa got a hot designer dress in Vegas with a feather skirt in Sept. She twittered it. The next month, Melissa showed up at Audriana’s birthday party in the same feathered dress.

“Melissa copied the way Teresa set up her Twitter name: Teresa_Giudice and Melissa_Gorga. Who does that? Melissa’s new website is black with a diamond over the “i” just like Teresa’s Fabulicious logo on her site.

“And producers did know about Melissa for three years — they interviewed everyone of the Housewives friends and family every year for new blood, and they passed on Melissa every time. Then last year, Melissa and Joey got drunk and made a tape where they parodied The Godfather, sent it to Bravo, and promised they’d humiliate Teresa on TV. Bravo bit. Teresa didn’t know anything about it until they were signed!

“She was completely betrayed by Melissa, her brother, and Bravo. And unlike what was reported, Teresa was stuck in a 2-more-year contract, so she couldn’t get out of it and leave the show. She tried because she didn’t want to expose her parents or her kids to Melissa’s fame whore nonsense.

“If Teresa always hated Melissa, why is Melissa Gabriella’s godmother? It’s Melissa who can’t stand that Teresa got famous, and now she wants what Teresa has. Missy is stalker scary.

“PS– One of the reasons Teresa does hate Missy now is because Missy & Joe have an “open” marriage, and Teresa thinks it’s disgusting. Missy leaves her kids with her two nannies all the time to go clubbing and hook up (she’s usually with an exflame called “Butch,”) and Joe sleeps with everyone in a skirt. Joe actually had charges pressed against him for rape back in the day, but his family pressured the girl to drop the suit. Look up the court records in Patterson, NJ.”

Remember Teresa’s housewarming party from season 2 [about 40 minutes into this video] and Melissa’s strikingly similar Christmas party in season 3.

Lauren Manzo even noted the similarity, saying sarcastically:

“For some reason I feel like I was just at a housewarming party [Teresa's] just like this.”

Melissa even used a microphone like Teresa did to make her announcements. As described by Lady Lola of TWOP:

“Melissa takes a minute to traipse down the stairs as she introduces the representative from St. Joseph’s hospital. He gives his speech, though I’m sure no one in the room actually hears it because all the important people are either stumbling around drunkenly (Melissa) or wondering where Teresa and Juicy are (everyone else).”

During season 3, episode 1, Melissa said:

“Teresa thinks that she throws better parties, but she does not throw better parties than me. She’s a faker.”

In the video below, Melissa does the hand kiss that Teresa always does. Is there anything she doesn’t copy?

Teresa doesn’t copy Melissa – she doesn’t have to – she is over the top and funky/crazy/flamboyant all on her own.

Teresa had her house first. Joey and Melissa had a house, but not the mansion.  In ONE instance to end up with a similar dress is one thing but using someone’s photographer, hair stylist, make up artist, clothing stylist and mimicking a persons mannerisms, voice and look is something else.

We’ve seen pictures of Melissa when she met Joey: she was NOT the same person she is now. Melissa is trying to convince us that Teresa is coping her when it’s the other way around.

Melissa seems like a mean girl trying to make herself famous at her sister-in-law’s expense.

She projects all her flaws onto everyone else. She wants to seem like the victim and gain sympathy. Teresa is over the top, gaudy, and all of that, but at least she is HERSELF…a “sun” person with her own rays. She has never stopped working to earn money and get out of her financial problems. Melissa and the others are “moon” people, who live off the rays of “sun” people. Everything about Melissa spells wannabe, whatever you think of her sister-in-law.

Season 3 episode 6, which originally aired on June 19, 2011, is a good example of Melissa and Joe blaming everything on Teresa and refusing to be held accountable for any part in family disputes. [This episode is an eye opener to watch again now that the truth is out.]

In Melissa’s blogs in the beginning of season 3, she was gloating about getting on the show and what “karma” it was. It was HER “time to shine!”

Melissa is an antagonizer who blames everything on Teresa, when she is the one that is ruining her husband’s relationship with his family. Teresa went up to her first at the Brownstone to break the ice after the Christening. Teresa wrote the letter to her brother. Teresa initiated the meetings with her brother at the restaurant and with Melissa at Jacqueline’s house. Teresa wrote the loving inscription to her brother at the cookbook signing, after which he made her read it out loud to humiliate her. Teresa made numerous attempts, all which were downplayed by Melissa.

It appears from Melissa’s comment that the main reason she and her husband are angry with Teresa is because she didn’t include them on the show; they accuse her of ignoring them so that they wouldn’t get screen time (which is why they made the comment “so why are you saying it now” when she approached them at the Christening to say congratulations). This of course is not Teresa’s fault – the decision to cut them from previous season’s footage was Bravo’s.

On April 23, 2010, when a friend asked if she and Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga would be making an appearance on the show, Melissa posted on Facebook:

“We were at some of the parties but she really didn’t do any thing with her brother or his family….” [Read Melissa's May 16, 2011, blog, No Fakers.]

On September 3, 2010, the NY Post reported that Melissa was pissed off that Teresa wouldn’t allow Melissa’s daughter Antonia to ride in the limo for Gia’s 9th birthday party, which was featured on season 2. Gia is five years older than Antonia, so Melissa should not have expected a 4-year-old (at the time) to be invited to join the older group in the limo.

Here is a quote from Melissa’s second Bravo blog, High School All Over Again,posted on May 24, 2011:

“Joe and I have never once asked Teresa to put us on TV. We were at all the kids’ birthday parties, so of course you would see us in the background sometimes during past seasons. There was no way she wouldn’t invite us to the kids’ parties, what would everyone think? Where is her only brother, right? Of course we were there. Once again it was a “technicality,” but on her part this time. We usually kiss hello and then say goodbye when it’s over. To be perfectly honest with you, Joe never wanted to be around the cameras. We were happy for her when she got the show, and I told her she should do it. It might be easy to think that we were jealous that she was on TV, but that is not the case.”

No matter how much they protest, it’s obvious that Melissa and Joe were very angry that they were not included in season 1 and season 2 of RHONJ. Here’s an excerpt from an insider’s blog about Melissa’s Bravo audition tape:

“Missy was at nearly every single family function, especially the ones filmed for Bravo. For years, she sent Bravo ‘audition’ tapes, e-mails, and even spoke with producers and assistants in person. No one was interested in her or her husband, who they mocked behind the scenes… When Melissa gets angry, she gets angry. She was tired of being ignored (sociopath) and decided to get dirty; she contacted Danielle initially two years ago. Ultimately, Melissa exchanged phone calls, e-mails, texts, and all forms of communication with Danielle for months upon months.”

Melissa made that negative comment to Teresa at the Christening, and then Joe and Melissa’s sister Lysa chimmed in. Melissa does not know how to fight her own fights – her tactic has been to turn people against others and make them the odd person out – and that’s straight high school tactics! Anytime she’s had a fight with Teresa – rather than squashing it or confronting Teresa directly – she first tries to summon support from JoeGorga, Kathy, her sisters, etc. They came out of the gate on her attack. Melissa’s sisters were and still are the biggest *beep* stirrers.

Melissa thinks she is the next JLo.

In her season 4 Bravo blogs, Melissa’s salutation is “Hi Lovers”. She is copying Jennifer Lopez, who often using the term on Twitter:

She even hired Lopez’s ex husband Chris Judd to teach her dance moves during season 4.
